She said well it has been sprayed, maybe someone smoke in it or a dog was in here and there are no more rooms available. It was really bad. I had no choice. October 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxed Thursday and enjoyed our event on Friday Eating at this Holiday Inn is not for the impatient. Service is friendly and the food is good -- but slow! My guest room was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wish that my "junk" and luggage cart fit onto the elevette *OR* that ramps were available to take things from the guest rooms to the "lobby floor". October 15, 2013

Its non-trivial to find, the entrance drive has a large sign for an Indian restaurant, and the Holiday Inn sign on a pillar is several feet beyond the driveway. 2. My wife has bad knees, and we had the 2nd floor [no elevator]. To get to the restaurant, we needed to descend to the 1st floor, then go back up 1/2 a flight to the dining area. Reverse to get back. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What a dump! Shabby all around. The entire place - which is quite old but lacking in any kind of historic charm - reeked of stale cigarette smoke. In room refrigerator barely worked, hadn't been defrosted in ages. Curtains and curtain pulls were filthy. Carpets filthy. In short: a dump, and a real black eye for the Holiday Inn brand. And the staff seemed completely out to lunch, couldn't answer basic questions Yuck! October 2, 2013

It's obviousally an older facility; maybe lots of renovation work has been done but it needs lots more work. Pretty shabby overall appearance. Heating and AC system very dated, way too loud. Very difficult to locate the facility. Need better signage. I will not be staying there again. Win October 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent breakfast service After a long day of travelling I checked in really tired, and appaerntly I missed some of the information during check-in. The staff at breakfast asked me for the breakfast cupon and when I couldn't answer they asked for my room number and check with front desk themselves. They got me a cupon, i.e. the breakfast was included. Furthermore the breakfast buffet included everything that I usually have for breakfast plus a fresh fruit salad. October 2, 2013

Did not tell me the internet code was written on my card holder - I had to call the front desk to get it. No offer to show us where anything was located in the hotel. Did help with the luggage. The wheelchair elevator worked the first time I used it by myself. After that, I had to have someone push the button on the outside of the elevator to make it move up or down. Brought this to the attention of the front desk and they said they would get it corrected right away. After our 3 days there, it was still not fixed. Restaurant needs to recognize that not everyone wants Indian cuisine at lunch. We had our grandchild with us and there was nothing but spicy buffet offerings so we were forced to look elsewhere for lunch. This is America! Have American food! September 24, 2013

The staff was very polite & made sure we were very well taken care of. The hot buffet was always replenished quickly & our server made sure our glasses of OJ & coffee were never empty. Very easy to get to many different activities like the wine tour, great restaurants & shopping. Great place & will def return! August 28, 2013

From the front desk greeting to the last checkout all the staff was happy and accommodating no matter what time of day or nite! The follow through on anything we requested was rapid and through. We highly recommend this property and will definitely plan to stay here when next we visit the Leesburg vicinity. August 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good price but very poor service We used the park and stay option and parked our car for 28 days while on vacation. This was complimentary with a one night stay at the hotel and therefore a really good deal. That's the only positive thing I will say about this hotel. We were instructed by hotel personnel to call upon landing so that they could send a shuttle for pickup, which we did. However, it took us two hours to clear immigrations and customs (not unusual for Dulles airport) and when we finally got out the shuttle driver had left already. When I called the hotel the person at the front desk was obviously upset and said we'd have to wait 45 minutes. It turned out to be a full hour, which felt like 3 with two little kids after a transatlantic flight. Not worth it! The staff just wanted to make a point while it was not our fault that we mised the first shuttle. Besides that, the hotel has seen better days. The entry hall looks nice, but the rooms are of the usual cheap, smelly, worn-out kind. Also, there is NO possibility to get a cup of coffee anywhere on the grounds at mid-day. Next time I'll pay a bit more and stay elsewhere. August 15, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday In Expirience Being a Platinum member I get to stay at Holiday Inns throughout the country, this one is the worst Holiday inn that I have ever experienced. Tried the restaurant twice for breakfast and both times the service were terrible and the quality of food was poor. I ordered eggs with sausage and was told they were out of sausage and only had scrambled eggs??? I decided on the buffet and found a poor selection, and the fruit was brown from age! The second visit took fifteen minutes to get a cup of coffee and menus and another twenty minutes for our order to come out; which was luke warm at best. I had a maintenance problem with my room and called the front desk at 7 AM to report it. Came back at 5 PM and it was still not corrected. Contacted front desk and was informed that it was corrected?? They told me they would give me a new room, but I needed to come to the desk and get a new key, I asked for a porter to bring my key and assist in the move since it was on the other side of the hotel; 45 minutes later the porter finally arrived. I won’t be staying at this hotel ever again. August 15, 2013

Also, it was old and extremelly noise the AC unit. As a Platinum, I could not believe they put me at the end of the property. By the way if you have extra bags and you are are not on 1st floor you may be in trouble! They dont have elevator! Low quality Breakfast! Staff was friendly. July 24, 2013

Even though the hotel was older, amenities were nice and our room was updated to more modern expectations of a nicer Holiday Inn. Restaurant was a pleasant experience that provides guests with delicious Indian and American foods and wonderful breakfast. July 6, 2013

At check in I was told the room key machine wasn't working so I got to stay in the lobby for half an hour until a master key could be retrieved to let me into my room, which I then couldn't leave without locking myself out. The room was very dark and the few lamps barely light it. Definitely not enough light to read by. The room was also incredibly humid and warm, and no amount of tinkering with the window unit helped. I couldn't access the wifi because the front desk never picked up the phone to give me the access code, and without a key I couldn't go get it. I then discovered that the complimentary airport shuttle, the ONLY reason I booked the room, doesn't start running until 6:30am, which makes it a little tough to get on my 6am flight. Now I'm stuck in a muggy room with no wifi, and I'll have to pay out of pocket for a taxi to the airport in the morning. July 2, 2013

It was a funky historic property that seemed like it was converted to the Holiday Inn format after the fact. The rooms themselves were clean and seemed well tended, but the property was a little in need of updating. Carpets that seemed a bit threadbare and the place was just a bit rundown. My last two experiences at H.I.'s have not been stellar in terms of setting up a reservation. In both cases I got two adjoining rooms, and in both cases, they got it wrong, despite the fact that I called the property itself. June 23, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Has Potential When you walk in to the hotel and to the front desk, you don't expect staff in the back office to be using 4 letter words. The rooms are nice and comfortable and for the price great. The food was good however if you want to enjoy the happy hour expect to be confined to a 20x20 area as you will get reprimanded for trying to leave with your drink and food. There are a few staff that go above and beyond which I thoroughly appreciated. Its finding them that was the challenge. If you want an inexpensive room with no concern for interaction with staff then you have found your spot. June 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It was an okay time... We stayed at this hotel during a recent visit to Virginia. Unfortunately, we were not all that impressed with the Holiday Inn at Carradoc Hall. We have stayed at other similar hotels and have been much more impressed with the reservations and upgrades done to the properties. Our room had a rather stale smell, and although we requested a king size bed, we were surprised with two double beds. We were also disappointed that although they advertise a swimming pool, it has not been opened for the season. Surely not the worst hotel accommodations, but for what we paid, we expected more. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what we are use to in a Holiday Inn Wow where to start.. I have to say this was the worst stay we have had at a Holiday Inn. We checked in as part of a running group for a local half marathon. When we got to our room the air conditioner did not work (actually came out hot) and the space for the in room fridge was empty. When I called the front desk I was first told someone will come up and check the air and see if they have an extra fridge. He was not happy when I said I'd like another room and he can deal with this one. The second room was fine but the hallway had a strange smell. Another BIG issue was that the pool was "closed for the season" but it was actually in season time and we participated in a half marathon #in 95 degree weather# and were looking forward to getting in the pool which was not possible! Now on to the on site restaurant... We checked the menu prior to going down as our party of 7 all wanted pasta and the menu showed they had it.. when we actually ordered the waiter didn't seem to understand what we were asking for and a few of the orders were wrong. The Chicken Parm that several of us ordered came out with no sauce on the pasta and dry over cooked chicken, when we requested extra sauce for the pasta we were brought a large bowl full of ketchup packets and by the time the correct sauce was brought out the food was cold and most of the group had finished, Then we get the check and something didn't seem correct and we noticed that they tried to charge us $8.00 each #$56.00# for salads that according to the menu were included with the meal. Also I am a priority member but was not given the paper to either get a free drink at the bar or turn it in at check out for 300 bonus points and when I brought it up the guy said "nothing I can do at this point" There were other issues but those were the main ones. We also plan on sharing this information with the race organizers so that they DO NOT list the hotel on their list of preferred hotels for next year. June 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Great rest before the race My girlfriends & I stayed here the night before the VA Wine Country half marathon, this was our 2nd year in a row. The staff is so very friendly & welcoming & accomodating. We booked 5 total rooms and they did their best to put us near eachother. The beds were comfortable and provided a great night of rest prior to our early morning race. The location is SO convenient a few blocks away from the Leesburg Prime Outlets. Mr.Bill who manages the bar is one of the most friendliest people I have met in my travels, we stopped down at the bar to see him & say hello, and of course have a few drinks. He remembered us from the previous year, when we realized the hotel did not have any breakfast service, Mr. Bill fixed up a few bagels with peanut butter for the morning of the run. Talk about top notch hospitality! My ONLY complaint is the A/C was not on in the rooms when we checked in on a 95 degree day - Hot & Humid when we arrived...and I hate to say the room never fully cooled down during our stay. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice welcome... This is the second time we stayed at this property--Our room was nice and clean and came with your basic toiletry amenities and lots of pillow choices! I used 'em all! :) Actually, the only negative was the air ? conditioning system...It felt as if it needed to have a filter changed or something cuz it was bothering my throat--But other than that, the hotel is very pleasant. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Lighting When we arrived we were not greeted. .She did not smile or welcome us to the Holiday Inn. The badge she wore identified her as the manager. I had to initiate the conversation by telling her that I had a reservation. She then asked my name. We drove to the area she said would be best for us to park and unload the car. I found the door to the building was not fully closed so I did not need my key to enter it. When we arrived at our room we found the room door was not fully closed and we did not need our key to enter the room. A cleaning car was not far from the door so someone may have just left the room but was no longer in sight. The lighting in the room was dim. Even the bathroom lights were dim and my wife complained to me about that because it is difficult for her to put on her make-up in dim lighting. If I visit the Leesburg area again I will probably look for a different motel to stay in May 7, 2013
