The staff were amazing. The best members of staff of any Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. Some of the best customer service ever from any company. They could not do enough for us, were so friendly & helpful & always had a smile.
The hotel was perfectly placed for all amenities. Very clean & tidy. Rooms were very clean & comfy. Only quibble was that the door was slightly broken so the automatic close didn't work.
The food was amazing in the restaurant & breakfast was brilliant. We had Dinner & Bed & Breakfast. The dinner was great & yet again the service was perfect. The option to order from set menu or have allocation to the bar menu was brilliant & the kids eat free. The bar was brilliant but not for all tastes as it's a sports bar with TV's everywhere running sport. Only quibble here was the bar was open to the public along the Main Street so evenings was hard to relax when you have a bar full of punters watching the football.
Has a gym but was very basic but ok for a weekend away. Would be perfect if there was a pool on site but not a problem.
Would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back soon.

Just returned from two night break. Booked half board and evening meals on the set menu in the restaurant were second to none. The quality and presentation was first class. Good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast. The only criticism was having to walk through the Sports Bar in the morning to reach the restaurant when it is full of delegates attending a meeting.

I stay in a lot of hotels and this has been one of my favourites. I had trouble finding it, and it is not clearly signposted, but when I rang reception, I received excellent directions. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. As a lone women traveller I felt very safe and the room was extremely comfortable. The car park is very convenient. The view at breakfast is stunning.

Visited the Holiday Inn in Lincoln on 21 June 2014. It took a bit of finding but I must admit that I relied an the Sat Nav and did not read fully the directions on the confirmation.
First impressions were mixed. The reception area was quite small but the welcome was good. Our room had a good view of the Wharf and it was comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated with some cracks in the ceramic furniture. We had read this before booking so we did expect this. The position of the hotel was excellent for our purposes and we would be happy to return to the hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helful.

We were pre-warned by the staff with a telephone call during the previous week that the night of our stay in Lincoln was also the Lincoln Festival and parking would be in an area 10 mins walk from the Hotel. A bit of a delay getting back in through the barrier at 2130 but all in all very good stay.
Wifi should be free or included in the price of the stay.

The hotel is smart and modern with an excellent position right on the quay side. There are many bars and restaurants nearby for convenience. I have to say that I did not hear any noise from the bars so they are far enough away not to bother you late at night.

Lovely twin room (with double beds) overlooking Brayford Pool - spacious, clean and comfortable with all facilities needed. Food ordered from Room Service was excellent. Also used the Cafe (which opens onto the waterfront) to buy an early lunch. Staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely be staying there again.

Lovely hotel with a view of the waterfront from our room. We arrived early but were offered a place to store our bags while we explored the city.
The room was excellent with clean and good quality fittings. The beds were comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.

Very attentive staff from check-in to check-out. Plenty of parking with no fuss. Only reason for disappointment was the appearance of the bathroom; heavily stained basin - due to age/usage, dirty shower curtain and silver tape keeping something together under the bath taps?. I had actually booked and stayed in an executive room - the sloppy DIY and tired bathroom suit - really didn't meet my expectations. Such a shame; as the actual room was OK; very comfortable and clean.

The hotel is in a pleasant location.
The reception staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, marking the restaurants we were going to on a map to help us locate them.
Sleep score given because mattress was firmer than the one we have at home and was uncomfortable for us.

Mine was a holiday visit and the hotel location was admirable, convenient for evening promenading and City access.
Lack of quiet public room, noisy/busy bar not suitable for relaxation.
Disappointed with restricted dinner menu but as we were on our own for the first 90 minutes can see the problem.
Nevertheless our stay was enjoyable and we would be happy to stay again.

I found lack of storage a problem, althought there was sufficient hanging space there was a lack of hangers and drawer space was non-existent, quite a problem when staying for a number of nights, not everybody wants to live out of a suitcase, I think this issue should be addressed, especially when the room we had is meant for up to four people, four people and only TWO chairs, would two have to stand?
Not really good enough do you think?

This is a great hotel with a nice view of the water. Very close proximity to High Street shops, restaurants and pubs. I am always greeted with a smile. Gemma is truly a Gem! The breakfast is nice, and the bar is comfortable. I very nice place to relax. Who can ask for anything better?

I have been to holiday inn at Brayford wharf three times and the experience is always a good one, no matter what the weather the welcome is a warm one. Recommended for bad weather and good. The quayside is a good place to kill time if required. the locals are pleasant and welcoming.

Very nice hotel in lovely location.The hotel is right on the riverside and very close too many bars/restaurants and high street shops. We went to visit the cathedral and the castle,well worth the climb up steep hill to see the sights,there was a lovely food market and some nice bars and tea rooms.

My stay was spoilt by what I feel is an unacceptable situation. When I went to the bar restaurant for an evening meal, I was told that as they had a large party in that they would not be accepting a food order from me for at least 90mins. As it was 7.30pm already this was obviously not acceptable. There was no warning at reception about this before hand when I checked in, and when I complained to the reception, they were not aware of this situation.
As a business traveller I pick my hotels so I get a certain level of service, as a person staying in any hotel, I do not expect to be told to go out of the hotel to have a meal, because they were to busy that night to be bothered to serve me or any other hotel guest. I do not think in a large hotel a party of 40 people which surely must have given prior notice, should stop other guests having a meal.
It is a pity as the hotel is in a good location and the rooms are to a high standard, so hopefully leasons can be learned and paying guests are not told to go to the pub at the top of the road if you want something to eat, as I was.
