Just two occurrences blighted an otherwise excellent stay. First was a lack of welcoming friendliness by the receptionist until she realised I was IHG Rewards member and her attitude changed to the good, Secondly, the shower head had a mind of its own. Need to rethink the type off flexible attachment.

The hotel room was excellent. Size was better than expected and décor was modern. Down side was no wash clothes in the bathroom, and soap dispensers for both the hand soap and shampoo. This not only takes away from the experience, but when taking a bath made for a bit of a challenge since it is set up for height of person taking a shower. Other shortfall was the service, and this was significantly flawed. It took four calls to get my bottled water which is provided with the loyalty program. At breakfast, the attendant was not there when I arrived and appeared for a few minutes and then left again. It was similar in the evening when I went to the café to grab a sandwich to take back to the room. But I would stay again despite these issues.

First time in Lisbon and I do not regret the decision to stay at Holiday Inn. The rooms were clean, the customer service was great, the food was amazing and the bar tenders were attentive. The best overseas hotel I have stayed in thus far. I would recommend and have recommended this hotel to ever one visiting Lisbon.
