Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fine if you don't use a wheelchair Staff are excellent but until the Hotel is refurbished there may be issues if you are a wheelchair user be sure to really check well as to what you need. Beds are a little high to get into but comfortable. Breakfast is of good quality and variety. Convient location for the station (Liverpool Street) and near to bus stands. October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great room Having booked a twin room with two double beds were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. There was a bath with shower in the bathroom, which is unusual nowadays. Our room did overlook the scaffolding for the work being carried out on the exterior of the property, but was assured by staff that it would not cause any disruption which was correct. In fact we forgot about it until visiting the restaurant when it was clearly visible. The hotel is in a perfect situation for Lime Street station, as my cousin and i were arriving by train from either end of the country. It is also right next door the St Johns Shopping centre. The hotel is only about 15 minutes walk to the River Mersey and all the museums which are have free entry. I would not hesitate to use the Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre on any future visit. Great for one or two nights, but if staying in Liverpool longer, I would look for a more modern hotel with better leisure facilities. October 12, 2014

I would particularly single out Stacey, a member of staff in the dining room, for her courtesy and attention to detail. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Hotel This hotel is very central for Liverpool. Close to all amenities. The hotel is situated across the road from Lime Street Station which is very handy. The hotel itself has a modern look, with wood floors and large bright stairways, and pictures. The hotel is clean. The rooms are clean with all you need. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. Water was hot each time we used it for shower etc. The food in the dinning room was good although I would have liked a slightly larger choicer, however this did not distract from the quality of the food. The drinks were not overly expensive. October 2, 2014

I plan to stay at the Holiday Inn in different locations now as the standard is stylish and comfortable. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the room was fine the bed was comfortable We found the hotel general manager very helpful if we had a problem both he and his reception staff solved it We appreciated their help. The restaurant however was disappointing only fried eggs no scrambled eggs and although there were a number of tourists in, the food was not always readily available. Sometimes there was no bacon or eggs etc ready and we were told it would be ready in 5 minutes which we have not experienced before in other Holiday inns September 15, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Liverpool trip My wife and I had a few days away in the Liverpool Holiday Inn. We had a good time apart from a personal item belonging to my wife going missing. Searches were done, it appeared the item was found and had been there all along... my wife had been told that "...it was OK, you arent loosing your marbles" - which was very patronising.... Turns out it hadnt been found and the staff didnt even know what had gone missing... At the time of checkout, nothing had been recovered and there was no compensation offered, only apologies... Really really disappointed with how the incident was handled. September 3, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average stay We stayed in this hotel for 1 night in a standard double room which was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have tea and coffee in the room and a choice of pillows. Plug sockets were accessible, however they were on the opposite side of the room to the bed. The TV had a poor signal and limited choice of channels. Wifi was available, however it was not free, you had to purchase it at a cost of £8. The bar had a choice of drinks and tea and coffee available at any time. The breakfast was overpriced at £9 per person especially considering there was no other option available, e.g. continental breakfast. There was a choice of cereal, fruit and hot food. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IHG Liverpool Centrally located Hotel which is clean and tidy. There is no parking but there is a multi-story car park attached, need to get your ticket validated at reception £6.00 a day. Food OK the bar menu looked better than the restaurant menu. Bar is a bit pricey and at other IHG Hotels members get a discount on bar prices but not at this one. Very quiet even though right in the middle of Liverpool. August 26, 2014
