Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bargain for inclusive food I made a booking for 3 family rooms - IHG member - and the offer of including an evening meal per room seemed good, especially as children eat free. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 4 children (should have been 5). The children chose their evening meals from the children's menu, and we chose ours from the limited selection available to inclusive guests. We could not have eaten at the local fast food shop for that price. The food was good and plentiful. Our box was well and truly ticked. Breakfast could have been much better, but there had been a very large party of French travellers eating earlier. We found several items depleted and as we had not arrived late to eat these should have been replenished. Staff seemed to be working on a back burner! Members of my party asked for poached eggs and half an hour later still had not received them and had to remind the staff. The children were really looking forward to having pancakes/ croissants for breakfast but the French had eaten all. The pancake machine was cleared up with no offer to replace the mixture and left 2 of the children in tears and the croissants were not replenished! Children had to be pacified with toast and fruit. As this was a stressful morning anyway (my fathers funeral day) this was not a good start. August 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WIFI very slow, carpets very dirty, bed matress very soft I regularly use holiday inn hotels and this is the first time I felt would share my thoughts of my recent visit here The wifi was the slowest I have ever used. Could not open any page. Infact my 3g on my phone was faster than the wifi we had gotten. The TV channels hardly any choice and the TV was very slow. The carpets were not clean. The drain in the bathtub was blocked, during shower water used to pool up. The toilet flush was hardly working. August 19, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected This was our first experience of a Holiday Inn Express and were pleasantly surprised. Only stayed the one night, but found staff friendly and efficient, the room was clean and as we had a room at the back of the hotel, enjoyed a quiet night's sleep in a comfortable bed. Full English breakfast was excellent, served in a modern clean restaurant, by friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely stay again. August 11, 2015
