Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to standard Free WiFi and on demand services not working. Breakfast cold. Coffee in bar poor quality. Offered a free drink on two occasions in compensation and then charged for them. At reception they were reluctant to take a debit card because they would have to wait four days for payment, seemed very unprofessional to me. February 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't eat in the restaurant........ We booked a table for two for the evening, restaurant was empty on arrival, only 2 other tables occupied a bit later. Thought the wine starting at £21.75 was overpriced, on average most places wine starts at £15 - £16 a bottle. Waiter did not even open the bottle or pour the wine for us to taste. The food was very average, friends starter not very good, Aberdeen Angus Beef burger and fries....brioche bun cold and very dry, well overpriced and almost in-edible. Desert, ice cream to share, two small scoops of ice cream - overpriced at £3.95. Complained to the manager in the morning, showed her a picture of the remains of our half eaten meal, was given a full refund. Will stay at the hotel again, but will eat elsewhere.....Breakfast was very good, and staff very pleasant. February 4, 2016

WELL DONE IN BRING CLIENTS INTO EVENING DINING BY INTRODUCTION EVENING BUFFETS. THE ENGLISH BUFFET WAS EXCELLENT QUALITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY BREAKFAST IS ALWAYS AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE BY QUALITY, SELECTION OF FOOD, AND THE EXCELLENT WAITING STAFF OF BARBARA AND ANITA. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Inconsistent I stay at this hotel frequently and on the whole the staff are friendly. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent. Reception is inconsistent. Sometimes you get a warm welcome and other times you are simply processed. The supervisor is lovely every time though. Ihg means very little here. Never get offered an upgrade and oftentimes they don't acknowledge you are a member. Still comfortable and clean hotel, fitness room is good and I like the location. January 30, 2016

The breakfast table was made up for us but had not been cleaned, there were crumbs on it. Room was to be made up for 3 adults , a double bed and two sofa singles but only one single made up. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel! The hotel was of a very high standard, very new looking and smart. The staff were so polite and attentive, we were immediately put at ease. The room was great, all the basic amenities and very clean with great bed and bedding. I called for extra blanket for my son and an iron, and it arrived promptly. Food was amazing, like a speciality restaurant, and the staff were attentive to our requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience here and will definitely go back. January 29, 2016
