Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel - good location. We checked in and was given a family room on the 3rd floor. I was recognised as a gold member and offered a free drink and newspaper. There was also water and a chocolate snack in the room. The hotel looks very nice. The bar and reception areas are excellent. Unfortunately the room was not very nice, the sofa bed did not fit properly and it looked cramped. We mentioned this to the staff who were very helpful. They upgraded us to a Executive room - and added a single bed. Although the Executive Room looked smaller, it was a better shape and did not feel as cramped. All the staff members we met were very helpful and polite. We had dinner on the first night in the restaurant, children eat free. There is lots of restuarant choice within a few minutes walk. The hotel also has a pub attached to it which shows football games. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice and nothing went empty. The bar area is good, an good place to relax. There is lots to do nearby and Russel Square Train station within 2 minutes. This hotel is in a great location for exploring London. Overall I am very happy with this hotel. I would return. The bed was not very comforable and the sofa was impossible to sleep! the bathroom is tiny and very hard to turn on the shower due to its age... The breakfast is basic and much less then in other holiday inn hotels (Camden for e.g.) January 26, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by séjour du 19 au 21 Janvier 2015 bonjour, Nous venons dans cet hôtel depuis 10 ans lors de nos séjours à Londres car il est très facile d'accès avec les moyens de transport et il y a aussi des restaurants, et commerçants tout près. Mais les chambres ne sont plus ce qu'elles étaient au début et se dégradent de plus en plus, mobilier ordinaire, lit en fin de vie, il serait temps de le changer, produits pour le bain très restreint mis pour 1 personne alors que nous sommes deux, tissu du sommier complètement élimé, poubelle de salle de bains complètement abimé c'est une petite chose mais au prix des chambres il y a des efforts à faire de ce côté là. Insonorisation inexistante, impossible de dormir avant 2 heures du matin car chambre à côté des portes coupe-feu donc passage en permanence et perceuse dès 8H30 le matin, pour tout cela une réduction ou un surclassement aurait été bien venu ! Surtout que nous avons eu déjà plusieurs problèmes dans l'hôtel, fuite d'eau au plafond, on nous a laissé il y a quelques années 3 nuits avec un sceau d'eau en dessous. Une femme de chambre est rentrée dans la chambre vers 13 heures alors que nous étions dans la chambre et elle ne sait même pas annoncée ! cela fait beaucoup pour notre séjour de 3 jours. Personnel très agréable mais ne parle pas le Français à la réception ce qui n'est pas facile.. January 24, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bedroom Beware I recently stayed at this hotel and had a cold night sleep. The bed was backing on to the window which meant the cold from the window was on my head all night. You can only use the radiator for heating which is blocked in by the bed so you can switch it on. I made the front desk aware that I wasn't comfortable before bed but was told the hotel was full and a replacement room is not an option. I made a complaint at the front desk on check out only to receive the usual "Sorry about that" and she moved on to the next person. I have been in touch with the hotel about my stay and they have offered to give me a better service next time, however, it doesn't make up for this one which makes it unlikely I'll choose them again. Shame really as it has potential to be a great hotel in a great location January 24, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by magwit Stayed 17/18 January with friends, arrived very early 9am but were still checked in even at that time and as room wasn't yet available (we didn't expect it to be) were allowed to leave luggage with consierge who was extremely helpful advising us on best routes to museums and the theatre we were visiting. Returned early evening to find we had been given a room on the executive floor which was much appreciated. The only reason our sleep quality wasn't excellent was our own fault as we forgot to put the air-con on and hence were a little too warm! Breakfast was much enjoyed as being 3 mums we normally have to cook it! It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, your multi- national, happy reception staff were a pleasure to meet and talk to. This hotel is now our preffered place to stay in London being easy walking distance of Euston and attractions. Oh and if you have time on a Sunday, visit Columbia Street flower market- stunning!
