I was once again disappointed that when booking online it is not very clear that the Breakfast is not included in the price especially considering that is was the advance booking rate I used.
Also I am of the belief that prices of hotels in London are getting a bit exorbitant for what one gets in room standards eg no fridge or complimentary water.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mrcrystal good but not that good
The hotel is centrally placed and easy to find if coming to town by train. Just 5 minutes from main stations by walking.
The hotel is behind the main road so no noise from traffic and the welcome was very good.
The hotel was clean tidy and up to date and staff were attentive and helpful.
The room was good with all facilities on hand and a good bathroom.
My only comment was that we faced the side of the hotel that had all the waste bins at ground fllor level and there was considerable noise in the evening and very early morning form bottles etc being thrown into a skip and the skip being taken away. th is did disturb our comfort and I did complain.
Apart from that the hotel is excellent and can be well recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nz99 Excellent stay
I stayed there three days. One first night was not that perfect and I did not have good sleep due to noisy room but when I complaint at the reception, next two nights I had a very good room on 6th floor. It was an excellent room. I was very much impressed with two ladies at the reception who gave me outstanding customer services. I have already sent a thank you card to both of them.
It was not my first time but whenever I go for meeting in London, I prefer to stay in Holiday Inn.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Familyman5 Excellent front desk and manager
I stayed at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury with my wife and 3 children aged 11, 9 and 9 Feb 16-19 2013. We found the property clean, well maintained and coveniently located. The front desk staff and manager Gary were most helpful and courteous and superior to the staff I usually encounter in 4 or even 5 star hotels. Our adjoining rooms were on the small side but clean and comfortable.
Gary was especially helpful with advice on London attractions, walking directions and tube recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would recommned this hotel to families, couples and business travellers.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pearson1 Friendly staff - fine for business
The welcome was friendly, informative and there were plenty of staff on reception. The room was comfortable if a little basic but no complaints here.
Decided to eat in for dinner and the food was fine and reasonable value. Breakfast disappointed for the usual reasons. No skimmed milk, no porridge and I had to ask for a more brown bread for toasting. Staff struggled to understand what I wanted.
Overall the hotel was god value for the centre of London and I will return again for my business trips.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Andyboy Best London Trip yet
We visited London for 2 nights during our half term week. We chose the Bloomsbury Holiday Inn for its central location. and proximity to the rail and underground system. From check-in to check-out we were made to feel special. The front of house staff are a credit to the organisation - I feel they go 'the extra mile' every time we approached them they were courteous and helpful. Well done, and thanks!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shola3 Fantastic service from staff and very curteous
The staff at the hotel were what made it so great - they were always keen tohelp and genuine to ensure guests had the best deal at all times. The hotel was very clean and service at breakfast was great with variety and freshness of produce. No matter how busy the hotel got - staff would always acknowledge you and were very tentative to every need.

We hosted a large group plus 2 dinners at this hotel last week. The staff were just fantastic; from doing all the bookings through to real customer care and attention. Nothing was too much trouble.
Well done & thank you Holiday Inn Bloomsbury staff.

Hotel is a short walk from St Pancras & King's Cross stations, tube station is on the doorstep.
Foundling Museum, Charles Dickens House Museum, Soanes Museum and British Museum, Covent Garden all a short walk away.
Lots of options for a beer and something to eat within the hotel and close by. Brunswick shopping centre across the road, Waitrose, Carluccios, Nandos, Superdrug and more.
All the staff we had dealings with were professional and friendly.
Room perfectly adequate for a short stay, equipped and maintained to the usual good standards for a Holiday Inn.
We would stay here again.

Used for business. Food very disappointing and overpriced. Walk down the high street for much better value and choice. Room kettle didnt work - disappointed no ironing board and iron in room without calling and asking for one - there is better to be had at this price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ron101 Excellent Hotel Stay
Had a short break for my daughters birthday / theatre trip and cannot find fault with the hotel and staff.
Hotel is in a perfect, central location, with all amenities close by. Staff were very pleasant and professional with great attention to detail (sometimes lacking in bigger hotel chains) and room was ideal.
All in all made our trip that much better and this hotel will certainly be our first stop next time we visit London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lydie room and comfort/able to relax
the rooms are not very well isolated, when people in the corridor were doing noise (talking, walking) we could hear everything, as it was early in the morning, it was quite annoying.
but overall, it is a nice hotel, and people are very nice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gazza39 A comfortable room for great value
Being a priority Club Gold member my wife and I were upgraded to an executive room on the 6th floor (624) and had a very enjoyable stay.
Pros:
Spacious bathroom, plenty of sink-side space for his and her bathroom bits, well positioned shaving mirror, a powerful hot shower and a toilet with a good flush!
Very comfortable bed with well placed, easily controllable lights
Nice size lcd tv with all the typical freeview channels
No exterior noise and close to the lift (I normally seem to get the room that's the furthest from every lift)
I did not eat nor drink here so have no opinion on this area
Cons:
Little drawer space - somewhere to park the smalls, extensive winter clothing (it was end of January) etc rather than have to live out of a suitcase
No real cieling lighting - apart from the bedside lights there was a table lamp on the desk and a freestanding standard light in the corner - dimmable cieling lights would have been nice
Why no local radio stations on the tv - lbc, capital radio?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Colza Perfect location for the West End
Perfect hotel location as the tube is less than 3 mins walk from the hotel. Just across the way is a full shopping center with excellent shops and restaurants.
Not the prettiest hotel from the outside but if you want to nip into Covent Garden and see a show in the West End - I would thoroughly recommend.
Pretty quiet rooms for a Thursday night :)

We can very definitely recommend the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury, London for the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially on Reception. We had a comfortable, quiet room and an enjoyable breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of Euston and only minutes to a shopping centre and bus stops.
We would certainly stay there again when visiting London.

The room was small and whilst it had all amenities you would expect it felt cramped. Disappointed to learn that something valuable left in the room was not found/handed in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roger42 Excellent stay but why charge for the internet ?
This was another excellent 2 nights. I was upgraded at reception on arrival ( without asking) ,,,the room was great and the food and service absolutely first class.
But why oh why do you continue to charge for the wifi when many of your competitors offer it as a free service.
I used the internet cafe just down the road. A charge for the internet may well be a factor that determines that I will go elsewhere for my future visits to London.

I have used this hotel approx 10 times per year, for the last 8 years.
But the time has come for a change.
The decor and furniture in the rooms is in desperate need of a makeover. My room service meal was cold.
Shame because the staff are very well trained and provide excellent support, but its time for some real investment in the facility.

This hotel lives up to its reputation of excellence in all areas. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The rooms are excellent with ample facilities for a good working environment and comfortable beds and pillows to ensure a good nights sleep. What more could you ask.The menu in the restaurant is varied as are the choices available for breakfast.

Good experience at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury.
I was given an executive room at the executive floor.. Good wel sized room, with all amenities, mini bar, computer desk.. Interner connection however is not free, and the executive fllor doesn't have any dedicated bar or extras, plus.. security: all the floors have security access with room card only, the executive floor however is at a floor where conference are held too, so no security card needed, plus there is to badged gate for the rooms, so ppl attending conferences could, eventually browse the room floor.. not an ideal situation..
Good rest at night, nothing to complain apart room temperature a but the heater is silent and efficent.. bathroom however has a freezing floor surface.. heating under the floor would be nice to contrast this..
Good rich breakfast, at premium rate :-(( with friendly staff
Overall the hotel is nice, with the basic services (no gym or swimming pool), room is a good size, location is good, with a close by shopping area and tube line very handy, car park and external to the property gym
Location is good if you plan to spend your nights at the west end theatres...can even walk, if you want..
