Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by All Good I've stayed at the Camden Locks HI many times. The lobby is very nice, the staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable though are a bit mixed in terms of condition, though they are always clean. The rooms can be a little rough around the edges, though they were very nice when new. Internet is pretty slow and struggles to stream video, no chance in HD. Its complementary in the lobby, and if you're an IHG rewards member. This stay was good. Was in for work, as usual, room was comfy and clean though the AC didn't seem to be working properly. We had a warm day the day I arrived and it was much warmer in the room than the 9C indication. The other two days it wasn't an issue. Room smelled a little musty too. I will be back of course, and it's a nice place. Rack rate is a bit sharp for what you get, even in that location, but fortunately we benefit as a corporate client getting a much better rate. November 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by enjoyable stay - as always. I stay in this hotel on a weekly basis for business use. The staff are extremely welcoming and professional at all times. Nothing is too much trouble and they always welcome you with a smile The food is to a good standard and so is the service. If you wish to venture out there are an abundance of eateries within walking distance of this hotel, along with some really good cocktail bars! I would definitely recommend this hotel and have done on many occasions to my friends and family We have booked many stays for leisure purposes and have never been disappointed. November 15, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced for non existent services We stayed at the Camden Lock hotel for 1 Saturday night. It had been a long term goal for us to afford a night at this well established Holiday Inn in a prime location. We finally got the opportunity to stay here but unfortunately we were disappointed. I would just like to point out firstly that the staff on the reception desk when we checked in that morning were very friendly and helpful. More importantly the lady was a trainee and all credit to her great service. The stay started to go downhill later that night. We were enjoying the sights and sounds of Camden so much so that we decided that due to the fact that there was a 24 hour snack bar at the hotel we chose to wait and eat when we got back. We arrived back at approximately 11.45pm and went straight to the bar for a drink and snack. The first thing we asked for was a lasagne which we were informed had run out. We then asked for other hot food to which the reply was nothing. During this conversation a lady was clearing things off the counter. We continued by asking what sandwiches they have. We were told that only 2 remained after the gentleman spent all of 2 minutes searching for things as he had no clue where anything was. After being issued with 2 almost expired stale sandwiches we asked for 2 bags of crisps which we knew were available as the lady moved a large selection of them from the counter into the back. Again the gentleman searched but it appeared that every bag had disappeared and there were none left at all!. A simple service which is clearly advertised at this level on a Saturday night is quite frankly very poor considering the cost of stay. The following morning after seeing the loyalty card advertising in the room I asked for my current stay on the loyalty card to which there was a simple no. I MUST book again in order to receive the loyalty points. November 13, 2014

On arrival the staff were very polite and welcoming - it is the staff at this hotel which makes this hotel a place I would stay at again. We were touring London as a family during half term and we stayed in a very comfortable family room with just enough room for all four of us. November 11, 2014

The reception, bar and first floor restaurant have recently been pleasantly refurbished. Although quite pricey by HI standards, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for business or leisure. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Struggle to recommend This Hotel feels like a Holiday Inn Express in reality albeit with good Holiday Inn style rooms, I am a platinum member of long standing and do not expect an upgrade automatically, if I get a standard room, that is OK, that said I have always been given Bathrobes and slippers on request. Camden massively struggled with this request due to laundry issues? I took a long view. You to act! November 9, 2014
