Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jakald Great trip to London
We spent a week at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum in London during our trip to the UK this past October 13 th. It is a very central location and situated one block from the tube station. If you are willing to pay for the room upfront, you can save a lot of money! There are many good restaurants nearby and it is within walking distance of several museums including the V&A-a must see! All in all-it was a very good stay and we were pleasantly surprised. For a couple-we recommend the king size bed. The bathroom is small-tough for two people to occupy at the same time but the room is ample. It was very quiet and we were able to sleep well.
The breakfast was good: variety of juice, fruit, delicious croissants and pastires, great coffee, fried eggs and poached eggs, deli meat and cheese, Canadian bacon, sausage and traditional English "bangers" and traditional porridge made with milk instead of water. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful and Alan and the consierge crew were the best.
We only had one mishap and honestly it was all because Verizon has no presence in the UK. We were misinformed that a call to a 800 number from our room would be free except for 2.5 pound connection fee. WRONG-when we went to check out the first time, we were hit with 150 pound phone fee. We left for Windsor for a few days to stay with friends and upon our return, although the hotel did not take this charge off the bill, they made it up to us with many freebies and room upgrades-so it was resolved to our satisfaction. One word of advice-make sure your phones are activiated for global use while you are still in the US because there is no such thing as free 800 calls from the UK!

Overall good experiance, good standard in rooms and good service.
No Internet - access included. Price is a real rip-off, one week mobile internet access at t-mobile UK is half the price as one day at holiday inn!!

Have been to this hotel time and time again, what a great location right on the Piccadilly Line, under an hour from Heathrow on the Underground and within walking distance from a number of sites in London.
Rooms might by a little small.
The F&B staff are very well trained, avoid trainees on check-in and you are in for a great stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Thomas707 Tiny rooms and ZERO complimentary internet
Dated hotel with tiny rooms, especially the bathrooms! Felt more like a cruise cabin than a hotel room. GET WITH IT, wifi service is a NECESSITY, not a nickle and dime revenue builder!!! It should at LEAST be free in the lobby! Nearby Crowne Plaza is a MUCH better facility.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike44 Good value and excellent location
Considering the location in the heart of London this hotel represents excellent value for money. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The staff were very efficient and made us feel welcome. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to our friends.

Stayed here a few times now and always found it a good experience. Great location, friendly and comfortable. I booked early and got a great rate for such a central point. I would stay here again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pjh273 Two night stay
Compared with our previous visits, there has been a subtle deterioration. No shower hats, toilet paper - the cheapest and worst that money can buy. Enquired about the charge for breakfast, on booking told £25 or £16.50 at checkin. There offered breakfast for £12.50. Disappointing particularly as we took two relatives with us. Had a better experience at the Express, Wandsworth earlier this year.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Ideal location for museums and Earls Court
We stayed here for one night as part of a package to see George Michael at Earls Court.
Checkin was quick and our room was small but spotlessly clean.
The bed was comfortable with good pillows.
We walked to Earls Court easily.
We had a few drinks in the bar which although called an English pub was showing non stop American sports.
Breakfast was adequate. There was a queue for the restaurant and we were shown into a small room off the restaurant where there was a minimal buffet laid out with an antiquated toaster!
Check out was quick and we would stay here again .

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chicagoball Decent hotel in a central location
The hotel itself is ok. An average Holiday Inn, albeit a very large one. However, I think the staff more than makes up for the physical property. They are very nice and pleasant to interact with.
There is a Starbucks in the lobby and a nice pub in the hotel.
Very close to the Gloucester Road tube station and if you are looking for high quality but cheap food, the Waitrose by the tube station is very nice.

The hotel looks good but information from staff was lacking example was not told where breakfast was located. The room which was an executive room was small and cramped. The bath room you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Archie A small disappointment this time
Have stayed inForum Kensington quite a few times, however,
now I was a bit disappointed at the some things: requested a room wit LON eye or Cromwell rd view, received one just to the opposite dull direction (ok I know it was just a request), the bathroom was smaller than usual,
newspaper service was offered, yet the paper was never delivered.
Otherwise all good as usual.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChuckB Very accomodating
* Had wonderful time on a 4 night vacation. Over the weekend the hotel was busy with tour bus travelers.
* Hotel was within 1 neighborly block of the Glouster Road station where the "blue" Picadilly line (that goes to Heathrow), the "yellow" and "green" lines intersect. The hotel was within a few exits of Buckingham Palace, Tower of London Castle, Westminster Abbey.
* Staff was very helpful, and the sports bar staff changed the channel so we could watch American baseball playoffs at 10:30 p.m.. Food in the sports bar was typical for sports bars.
* Clean room, typical European size...they had a bank of electrical power outlets that included US- plug (so no converter was necessary), and large flat screen TV.
* The only thing bad: had to pay for internet.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Suebow Bed was comfortable, service to fix bathroom lock was fast, close location to tube station, the choice for plug ins was a great touch,
This was my first visit to London from America. We stayed here after 3 weeks with friends and we were spending our last couple days touring London. We have used Holiday Inns mostly everywhere we go in the United States so we figured this to be the best route for our stay. We arrived to early to check in and we were able to have our luggage put away and kept safe until our return that evening, which was great . The concierge was fantastic in helping arrange our trip to the airport. The front desk people that we did deal with seemed very impersonal and hard to understand. We were told nothing at all as to what the hotel offered for breakfast or the costs. We ended up having to find the breakfast room ourselves the next morning and not quite understanding the person there or the front desk person, we decided on breakfast somewhere else. In our room I was not sure what was something that I would get charged for and what was an amenity so I did not use anything out of the refrigerator or the bottled water and candy on top of the desk. We wanted to print out our boarding passes and found we had to have an email account to send to a front desk persons email, but we did not have an account we could access internationally and ended up having to wait to get the passes done at the airport. A channel listing would have been helpful also.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by arkdesigns Our visit to the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum
The location was perfect for our 2 day planned visit. Hotel entrance was smart.... Room was excellent with comfortable bed and good facilities. Reception was friendly. But on registration we were not informed of breakfast options or where the breakfast was served. There was no further information in the bedroom. But overall we were impressed with our room and enjoyed two undisturbed nights sleep.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by zoomball Two nifty things
1) Both SOFT and HARD pillows were provided. I loved this!
2) No need for an electrical outlet converter (assuming one plug is enough for you)!
Was here with a group tour, stayed six nights. Breakfast "got old" in this case. Why no porridge?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lynda12 Comfortable Bed and Great Shower
I stayed at the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum Sept. 24-29, 2012 with my adult daughter and infant grandson. The beds were comfortable, the room size on the small side, but that was to be expected in London. It was actually a bit larger than expected with a mini fridge and desk. However we had to fold the stroller (pushchair) up to get it in the room and there was no in-room safe. The en-suite bath included a bathtub and a shower with plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure (two things I was expecting to be disappointing).
My first complaint is that on the second day the phone began to work only intermittently, I was able to place a local call to confirm train times, but an hour later we could not get a dial tone. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, the person I spoke with wrote down my room number and promised to have the phone replaced. Next day, instead of a wake up call by phone, the room's door bell was rung (twice). Wake up calls had previously come by telephone. Still no ring tone. My daughter contacted her husband by skype and learned that he had been trying to call our room for days due to a sick child at home. Down to the front desk we go and an engineer soon comes to the room, confirms the phone is not working and returns with a replacement. It would have been much more impressive if this had been done when I first brought it to the hotel's attention.
Additionally, one day the fire alarm went off, but no one seemed in a rush to leave so I called the front desk to enquire. A very snooty operator informed me that there was a voice mail on my phone regarding testing of the alarm. That does not seem to be a very adequate way to warn people of a test like that, espcially considering that our phone was not working at that time.
Breakfast buffet was good, hot items hot, cold items, cold, but no variation in 7 days. Breakfast service was excellent.
Concierge or bell staff who handled our bags on arrival and stored them until we could check in - great service.
Overally, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RCatThales Nice hotel, rude staff
This is a very nice hotel. However the staff on reception were very rude. The woman who checked us in could barely speak english and took £50 from my card (I got it back a week later) without asking me and without my permission when she asked to have it for authorisation.
When checking out the person on the desk didn't even look up. I asked to check out, they took my room card, said nothing for a minute, then said very sternly: "Done.". Didn't look up once. This service is especially bad considering I'm a Gold Priority Club member.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicola Lovely location in London
What a great location for our three nights in London. We appreciated being right next to the Gloucester Road station and it being easy to hail iconic black cabs. Kensington is a great spot and quite close to everything. The rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. We paid a little extra and used the business lounge which was well worth it...snacks, drinks and wifi! Given our phones stopped working on roaming the wifi was a huge bonus. It is a very large hotel, so it did feel a little sterile and impersonal, but its not something we worried about when we had all of London to explore. Also, the benefit of its size is that the views from the 27th floor are amazing! We would definitely stay here again while in London.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MikeEm No Priority club benefits
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times. It is convenient and well priced for London, however, I never get any of the normal benefits of being a Platinum Priority Club member such as a room upgrade or anything else. This takes the shine off it a little.

* Mechanical Reception
* Tired room and rudimentary facilities
* Restaurant: Major delay in time from order to time to serving ..>30mins... ordered: lamb steak medium rare .. served : tepid, dried and basically left under a heating lamp.
* arrived late back to hotel .. decided to have a beer while reviewing days work .. arrive to bar at 11 :30..bought drink ..went back to bar at 11:45 ..told that bar was closing..last drinks please???????.. staff indicated that they were closing as there was not enough people in the bar to warrant continued service ..
WHAT.....this is not what I expect from this international chain.
12 :10.. ushered to the main foyee to finish drink ... never in my
time at any TOP(hic!) hotel has such a thing happened to me.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Randall Nice, quiet environment and convenient location
Located within five minutes to Gloucester Road tube station, the Kensington Forum offers a convenient, and yet quiet accommodation from the main attractions of London. The only short-coming is that, whereas free wi-fi service becomes the norm of expected hospitality, the connection comes at a premium at the Kensington Forum. It would also be ideal to have laundry service.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Crispy Good location, Comfortable Stay - great individual service
I've stayed at the Kensington Forum on 3 occasions within the past 6 weeks. It provides good facilities and is an excellent location for me being close to Gloucester Rd Tube Station.
It provides good value for money when compared to some other of the Holiday Inn franchise.
I use the Business Lounge which provides a good atmosphere to work, but must give particular praise to Philip who was the most recent lounge 'Host' (on Sept 17). Philip provided excellent service, always being there at the right time without being intrusive ... he was a great ambassador for the Hotel and I will certainly be returning.

Nicely Located with 27 floor building gives amazing views of London. Great Hospitality.. well trained staff at the reception with smile on their face. They recognise me as a Priority reward member & upgrade me whenever possible.
One of the reason I stay at the hotel is their customer service & they make me feel home away from home.
Comfy bed & linen, good choice of food in both restaurant and bar, reasonable price for use of internet.
I will definitely recommend this hotel.
