Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bed not as advertised, but business center excellent The room was booked on their website and the room I booked advertised a "king size" bed. It was queen size instead. I felt that I had not gotten what I paid for. Also, the bed was HARD and not comfortable. But, the business center access that I paid for was an excellent choice. The services and amenities offered at the business center were excellent and well worth the price! This made our experience here quite enjoyable! September 22, 2013

We had a room on the 27th floor which had great views looking towards the London Eye.The room /bed & bathroom were all very clean and comfortable for our all to short 5 day stay. Breakfasts were fantastic - buffet style with more than enough choice to set you up for the day. We cannot recommend this hotel enough - not only for it's location but also for the staff who were excellent in all fields from reception to room maids who could not do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Service I stayed at the hotel on 4th thru 6th September 2013, and chose the hotel as I had stayed here previously and the stay was far better. This time however the stay was not what I would expect as a gold member at all. Checkin - Was not greeted as a gold member unlike last time when I was given an apology for no room upgrade available. This time I had to mention I was a gold member and then received a voucher for a drink. I would have like bonus points but wasn't given he option. I also never received a welcome letter like I normally do as a gold member and I had ti fill in my registration stuff which is normally already completed. So not a good start. The room was dated and so was the bathroom, definitely not worth the rate charged. I didn't eat in the hotel so can't say what the food was like. I did try to have something to eat and a drink on the afternoon of the 5th, but after waiting for 40 minutes in the cafe/bar area with the waiter walking past me all of the time and ignoring me, I went elsewhere. Night of the 5th was interrupted by a fire alarm at 3:45am which had stopped by the time I and numerous others had walked downy he corridor, so I went back to bed. I mentioned this at checkout the next morning but the girl there didnt even apologize and just said she had started this morning so had no idea what happened in the night. Not a good stay at all, I was due to stay in the hotel 17th thru 19th September but I have cancelled my booking and moved it to a different hotel. September 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great accomodation and experience My wife and I book a double sweet for two night over the weekend 6/7 Sept 2013 to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary. We checked in around 2.30 on the Friday and we were immediately impressed by the attention we received at the reception desk and the complimentary drinks offered to help with our celebrations! We soon found our room and it was a delight. Huge bed in spacious bedroom, plus lounge and luxurious bathroom. The little extras such as choice of soft or firm pillows, bathrobes and slippers all made for a great weekend. Sadly my wife was taken ill during the Lion King which meant we had to miss the show and return to the hotel. We slept well and used all the facilities which were just as you would expect, excellent. With my wife having not recovered sufficiently we had no choice but to return home and miss out on our second night and the other events we had booked. Despite this the chamber staff who were aware of our predicament were very supportive and caring as was the reception staff upon checkout who offered empathy and encouragement. Truly excellent accommodation and service from Holiday Inn with our thanks, and hopefully we will be able to return to complete our celebration on another day! The Newson's September 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mix up with booking Arrived and was in a disabled room no hoist and a double bed With in 15 mins after speaking to the duty manager this was all rectified with a carer room and a hoist sort Saturday morning was crazy 3 of the lifts were down. and the staff were fantastic at organizing people The food was great and staff were all polite I will return September 11, 2013

They are more convenient than boxes in the central safe. - at breakfast, there could be some fish. - there could be more people at the reception desks at peak hours. There is always a staff member ready to assist but at the same time, it is a really relaxing and easy-going place to stay. I must mention the breakfasts. If you are wondering whether to include breakfast in your stay, definitely do it! There is something for everyone and it is a great start to a busy day in London. The fruit compote with Greek yogurt is a reason to get out of bed in itself! The location of the hotel just can't be beaten. I can't think of anywhere else I would stay for ease of travelling. Great welcome, good food in lobby coffee shop and powerful air con. Hotel is 1 min from tube station and 40 mins direct on tube from Heathrow. Great value. September 8, 2013

As always Rosa in the restaurant had a smile for everyone and made you feel welcome. Using this hotel is like a pair of comforable slippers you know you can relax and be looked after. Well done all. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room The room was excellent, everything one needed for a night's stay, loved it that if you had forgotten anything, i.e. toothpaste you just had to phone reception and they would sort it out for you, free! The air conditioning in the room on the evening was a god send and I had one of the best night's sleep in a while. Staff on reception were friendly and courteous, couldn't ask for any more. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 night stay We stayed for 2 nights and gave the Hotel a real challenge. We have a strict diet that we have to follow of no wheat, no dairy and no sugar and were very nervous about being away from home for 2 days as a result. We needn't have worried. The staff at this hotel are what makes it. They were fantastic. They rose to the challenge and looked after us brilliantly. You'd never know there was 900 rooms, the care they showed us was remarkable. Thank you. September 4, 2013

The Club Rewards failed to handle our stay as a qualifying stay but a non-qualifying stay instead. Would like to see this corrected on my account. Their e-mail never replies. September 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location This hotel is right next to the Gloucester Road tube station and a bus stop. There is a Waitrose, Tesco metro, small Boots and eating outlets right on your doorstep. Hyde Park and Natural History Museum are walkable distances away. Our rooms were quiet - we were never disturbed in the night. The air conditioning was good and the beds comfortable. The bathroom/toilet was clean and a fair size for a London hotel. The only problem we had during our stay was a blocked toilet and this had been sorted out by the time we returned to the hotel in the evening. September 2, 2013

The morning breakfast had a good selection and even a made to order omelette station. The location couldn't be better - a block from the metro station and plenty of good restaurants nearby. Reception personel is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, beds very comfortable, breakfast is fantastic. The location is great, right next to the Underground Station and in walking distance of some of the well known museums and shopping centres. August 21, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but no room in the booked cathegory Good location, close to Glocester Rd. Station and Big Bus Station, located at the Picadilly Line with an excellent connection to and from Heathrow Airport. The breakfast was also good with warm and cold dishes. The rooms were quite small and partly not as clean as we would have expected, also we missed toilet brushes in the bathrooms. We booked and paid an executive room and a standard room in advance through the holiday inn official homepage and paid in advance. According to the booking through the official homepage you could only choose the option smoking room for an executive room, that's why we chose a more expensive room. Arriving at the hotel we were informed that there exist not at all any executive rooms for smokers and we got just two standard rooms. We also had to change the room after the first night and had to explain the matter three times at the reception. As an excuse we received free internet that had a value of only about half of the amount that we had already paid in advance as difference between standard and executive room and the smell in the smoking room (in the carpet etc) on the 23rd floor was so bad that one could not recommend it at all even to a smoker. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great location We stayed for four nights and found the location excellent. Gloucester Road Underground and buses a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Easy walk to Kensington Gardens. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. Only complaint was the unsightly hole in the cabinet where the mini bar fridge should have been. We were on the fourth floor but would suggest requesting a higher floor for views. We didn't get any recognition for being IHG Reward Club Members except for points earned, August 17, 2013

However, I was disappointed to find the room dirty, there was hair in the bed and the bathroom had been poorly cleared. What I found worse was the half eaten chocolate bar left in our fridge and opened bottle of water. I was disappointed that reception desk didnt think was awful and didn't offer to do anything about it! August 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Reception Most of staff at reception were not friendly and very bureaucratic both at check in and check out. - I requested two rooms connected, but not avaibale at checking in. A fax was sent through agent, but not any reply or attentions. - The receptionist asked me to enter PIN without mentioning currency charged to my credi card (GBP,Euro,JPY...) when checked in. After I realised, and asked re-do, but she refused with advising to adjust it at check out. - At check out, confirmed the currency shojld be sterling, however I am billed by my local currency. This event is really pathtic and loosing your credibility. Other than reception, the hotel was really confortable and other staff were quite friendly. (Porter, restaurant...) - We were asked to wait for poter to pick up our laggage by reception, but he/she did not appear for 15 minutes. Then check it with him, then I went out for porter to leave our laggage. This indicates no co-operation of reception and other function. August 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed this time This is the 2nd time that I've stayed at Holiday Inn Kensington Forum and I was disappointed this time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as usual but there were problems with the room. The hot water took about 5 minutes to come through in the evening and morning, the basin tap had trim hanging off, there was a cleaning trolley obstructing my door when I arrived, which I had to move, the room had a general tired look, in need of thorough cleaning and updating. I would have mentioned the above at checkout but the reception was so busy that I used the express checkout. I'm not sure whether I will stay here again. August 15, 2013
