Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sallywt Worth it for the view
We arrived very early in the morning and so our room was not ready so we left our luggage and went off to explore the city. Wehn we arrived back the room was ready and as requested we were givena quiet room on a high floor. The view from the 26th floor was worth the stay alone.
I was a little disappointed that as a Priority Club member we were not offered the option to upgrade our room and no mention was made of breakfast or dinner.
The room itself whilst not the largest was extremely comfortable and clean and had everything we needed.
I would certainly stay here again especially if I could get a room with a similar view.

Loved the hotel. Only complaint was the coffee. It was not warm enough and I prefer Costa coffee not Starbucks

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DavidR33 Welcome rest for the frequent business traveller.
Situated in Kensington, 100 yards from Gloucester Road Tube station with its direct access to 3 lines, the Holiday Inn Forum hotel has become a home away from home on my frequent business trips to London.
The staff are courteous and friendly, and the concierges in addition to providing valuable local knowedge, have on more than one occassion obliged with emergency charging of my SmartPhone, or provided the back-up toothbrush and razor in time of need.
The hotel facillities are excellent, with a great bar that just hums on football nights and and a separate dining area for a quieter meal.
As a Platinum Priority Club member, upgades to Executive rooms are normally available, and on my visit this week, I was touched to receive a handwritten card from Nathan, together with a bowl of fruit.
I would highly recomend the hotel to the Business traveller, and it is also a great location for a weekend in London.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rich6060 Small bedrooms but fair service
Stayed here a few times now on business as I couldn't get into my normal choice of hotels.
I am an ICH Platinum/Royal Ambassador card holder as I am a loyal ICH customer. My ICH status was recognized upon check-in, but unfortunately there was no option for a room upgrade, which is ok as it is a big and very busy hotel. Needless to say the check-in rep promised to send up the normal Platinum/Ambassador goodies such as water.
They never arrived.
In addition the lady also said that she had put me in a quiet room with a lovely view of the London eye (16th floor).
As it turned out the room was by the service elevator/room (so very noisy late at night and early mornings).
The windows were so dirty I couldn't see for 50 metre's let alone the London eye 4 miles away.
Needless to say, after a chat with the Duty manager (Kailas) the next evening he sent up water, promised a new room (which i declined as i was tired) and a drink from the bar. i dint need a drink but Kailas asked me to send him an email to explain the issues. I received an email today from Kailas and he has promised to add 10,000 points to my ICH account.
So my advice, this hotel is good value in general.
But if you are a loyal ICH card member please don't expect too much as it is a big hotel and very popular so not always is a room upgrade available. You also do not have instant access ti the executive lounge as you need to book into an executive room for this. Basically your Platinum/Ambassador status holds no value at all. You will also need to pay for Internet access.
As a loyal ICH customer, in my experience if you do have any issues always try to have a chat with the duty managers (Lailas in this case and Jamie before) as they are very customer orientated and listen to you.

Great location & facilities, especially a first class gym. A great priority club recognition experience also.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sunbeamgls1 Not bad, for London
Given that this is in the West End and is handy for Olympia and Earl's Court, it represents reasonable value for money - in London terms.
Room is a good size (again, for London), comfortable firm bed and the usual choice of pillow firmness options.
The restaurant is huge - even so, the breakfast food was fresh and plentiful.
Decent gym, but obviously would struggle if there were a lot of people wanting to use it.
Overall this place is just Holiday Inn upsized to a very large scale - I expect that those above the 15th floor and with a room facing the right direction would have a great view over the city.

Great hotel and location but you must obtain a good room rate before arriving as the hotels prices are very expensive. Not only that £33 for 12 hour parking is Rip Off!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HWales Wonderful London weekend
I hadn't stayed in this hotel before and was a little sceptical. However I need not have been as everything worked out perfectly. I was only there for the weekend and arriving midday Satuday does not give you much time but the hotel staff wee most accomodating allowing my party to store their backs without checking in to enable us to start enjoying ther weekend immediately .
Judging by the numbers taking breakfast on Sunday the hotel was very full but it never seemed that way.
Would I stay here again - of course. I am now planning to use it for my base when attending meetings in London

This hotel is superbly located in west central London less than one minute from the tube . Very friendly reception . Room functional but corridors very much like school dorms . Beds comfortable . Found staff moody in main bar at night which lacked friendliness and any atmosphere . All reception area good. Elsewhere needs attention

After waiting in the lounge 3.5 hours as a Priority customer, I asked to see the manager. Appropriate apologies and quick help was more than sufficient to please me and make my stay as good as I expected.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Furgi Excellent all-round for a short stay in London
I like this hotel. It's well located and easily accessible. The staff are friendly and helpful (not all make good eye contact, though: the receptionists can sometimes speak to you at length all the while looking at a computer screen). Knowledgeable concierges. There is a reasonably good choice of TV channels in the rooms, but the wifi is extortionate. The room service is fine. Food is good, and well presented. Very useful baggage-drop facility.

Rooms and Breakfast were very good. Room was very clean and comfortable with excellent heating, as we were caught in the snow storms. The location was brilliant, as we were going to the Royal Albert Hall. Access to public transport was also very good. A Briiliant and reasonable location to explore London from.

I have stayed at the hotel now three times in the last twelve months. It is most convenient for transport in London being 5 minutes from Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is good and reasonably priced for central London. Both restaurant and Room service is excellent. I will be back.

I like the location of this hotel for work and leisure whilst in London. A great location due to being nearby to Gloucester Rd tube station (200m), museums and Royal Albert Hall.
The staff are friendly and welcoming especially when you're a regular!
The bar can be full at times as the hotel is frequented by a lot of airline staff on overnight stays but this shouldn't put people off using this hotel.
There are a lot of good restaurants in the local area if you don't want to use the hotel bar or restaurant.
I thoroughly recommend the hotel and will be using it during the summer for a weekend break in London.

Great location . Very helpful concierge service .Good bed for sleeping and quiet hotel . Usually a good experience. Price competitive
This time Front desk check in disappointing . One person who seemed disinterested. Asked same unnecessary question twice .Clearly did not care if regular customer ( Priority Gold ) or if had already on line booking .
Room clean but not stocked or restocked e.g no replacement regular coffee sachets some days and no milk containers on check in .
WiFi price out of line .
made me go round the corner to use internet cafe. Why not offer free or discount as as perk for regular customers ?

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mjmb2013 Uncomfortable bed but good location
I have stayed at this hotel several times before as its location for us is perfect. You can drive straight there, its a short walk to the Tube and Albert Hall etc.
However this time, the bed we had was to say the least, very uncomfortable!......I think there must have been a trampolene competition held there the night before as there was absolutely no spring in the bed, so much so that I kept rolling into the center of the bed...how crazy is that!.....i'm off to the see the Chiropractor now!
Holiday Inn, please upgrade your matresses or at least check them before allowing the room to be re-used.

I stayed for 3 nights with my husband and my adult son and daughter. This was our last stop before heading back to New Zealand and chose the hotel for its proximity to the tube station, we were very happy with the location.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful and organised adjoining rooms for us.
We didn't eat at the hotel. There are several excellent restaurants and pubs nearby.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrandMrsV Impressive views
We were lucky enough to stay on the 17th floor which had an amazing view over Hyde Park into central London. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There were only 2 flaws - the first being the breakfast. WHen we checked in we were offered a reduced price for the breakfast buffet of £12.50 each. However, when we went down to the breakfast room the following morning we found a queue that, according to other guests, meant a 45 minute wait. We went to reception to ask for the cost of the vouchers to be removed from our bill as we were not using them and were told they were non- refundable. Fortunately the understanding staff member did accept that it was not reasonable to queue for that length of time - especially when there are lots of great breakfast venues very close to the hotel. The second gripe was with the lifts. For the size of hotel and number of floors the lifts were not efficient - taking up to 10 minutes to arrive when called. Apart from this great stay!!

Was greeted by Jody as a gold member when I'm a platinum member. when I tried to correct her, she said I must of been downgraded. Rooms are very cold even when the heating is set to 27. Breakfast is quite good. The food in the tavern, I would give a miss especially the steak and ale. Just heated in the microwave so very disappointing.

The hotel has a very friendly staff well trained to handle a wide range of nationalities and situations. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are as good as any you will find. The food service is very good but overpriced. We have stayed here several times and will do so again!

We spent two nights there. The first day the elevator was being maintained so we had to use the stairs. The second night we had not hot water. We called maintenance to fix it. They thought they had. They hadn't. We called them again. They never responded. I think your rates are entirely too high for this sort of service.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by StrummerSez2013 London's Yearning...for Holiday Inn Kensington Forum
My 9-year-old son and I went to London from the States for a holiday. Five nights and could have stayed another five. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel, particularly for the location, the comfort, the quiet, the friendly and professional staff, and the amenities.
The Location: Really near the tube station. And direct line to the airport. Couldn't be better.
The Comfort: Short of being in a five-star hotel, this was super comfortable. In fact, I've stayed in less comfortable five-stars. Engaging, warm rooms, comfortable beds, delightful clean crisp sheets and thick, soft towels each day. No skimping on things like new soaps or shampoos, either. In fact, is this a five-star? We felt like it could be.
The Quiet: Really never heard any other guests. Just slept in when we wanted and went to sleep when we wanted and were never aware of anyone else around -- bliss!
The staff: We arrived early and were allowed to check in early, although that might be because I'm a Priority Club Rewards member, or because I had a clearly exhausted little boy with me. Anyway, top notch, friendly, courteous and professional staff.
The amenities: I didn't get to use the fitness room, but it looked good. I did get to take advantage of the in-room movies -- which had an extensive list, and many good for kids. Our one complaint is that some of the movies skipped, like watching a DVD with slight scratches or something. Recommend that they get a better, all-digital system. Still it was a major reason in why we stayed there, and made a huge difference to our evenings, since little kids don't have a lot of options at night. Ordered room service several times, which was good but not great, but then again, room service food is often not up to par with restaurant fare. But it was sure convenient when we were wiped out tired after a long day of tourist stuff -- and the staff that delivered was always friendly and pro. The breakfasts were fantastic -- proper English breakfasts, wide selection of hot, delicious eggs, beans, sausage, etc.

This is our second stay at Holiday Inn Kensington Forum after having stayed there in November 2011 for a week. For our 2012 vacation, I have booked 2 double-bed rooms for 10 nights for myself and my husband and the other for my 2 daughters. We chose this hotel as it is only a 2 minutes walk to the Gloucester Road Underground station and also there are good supermarkets and great dining places around. Our first stay at the hotel was excellent !
However, our recent stay was a bit disappointing. Upon checking in, we found that my room had a 'laid-out' sofa bed which we did not request for. On our way out at around 4pm, I informed the front desk staff to have it "folded back' and he agreed. When we returned at around 7.30pm, the sofa bed was untouched ! I went down to see the same guy again and within 15 minutes the housekeeper came. On most days, our rooms (434 & 438) were only given 1 roll of toilet paper and no spare. There was one night when we ran out of it and I had to call the receptionist to request for a roll since there was no reply from the housekeeping department. We waited but it was NEVER DELIVERED and we had to 'borrow' from my daughters' room instead ! Although there were 2 occupants in my daughters' room, only 1 mug was supplied. On most days, the carpet looked unvacummed too. We do not know whether the hotel was short-handed at the time of our recent stay due to the festive season but we hope to see some improvements on our next visit. We love the superb location and the comfortable beds and pillows. Wi-fi should be provided free to all Priority Club Members !
