Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Perfect for our needs This was an excellent place to stay for a night up in London. Checked in earlier than planned with no problem. Helpful staff. Room clean, comfortable and quiet with all necessary amenities. Great location for getting around central London. Fantastic view across London. We didn't use food and beverage facilites as we had plans already so we cannot comment on these. Nor did we have a chance to use the gym facilities. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. December 16, 2014

I had a few issues that house keeping staff didn't know that I had arrived at my room due to a miss communication error, but this is understandable due to the hotel size and the vast number of rooms that the hotels have. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay in the capitol My other half and I recently stayed at the holiday inn for a weekend treat away in the Capitol. We had a lovely time. Staff were mostly friendly, the hotel was inviting, excellent location and not too far from Gloucester Tube station. I loved the snowman and Christmas tree in reception, made the hotel feel homely for the time of year. Feedback for the guy that first greeted us at reception, he was a little abrupt, he took all our details and took quite a while before explaining that there were no rooms yet available, asked us to return later. He also didn't explain where anything in the hotel was such as the restaurant or gym, which is normally what I would expect, but never mind bar him everyone one else was great. We found the luggage room ok and staff were helpful there straight away. The room itself was a little small compared to others I've stayed in but was clean and comfortable. Some of the fittings in the bathroom were a little loose though and could be replaced. The phone also only worked once we'd unplugged and re plugged the power cable leading into the phone, housekeeping could maybe check to see if the phone is working and report to maintenance if needed? During our stay we did order room service one night. Most impressed with the food, it was delicious! Didn't take too long to arrive and the guy who brought it up was friendly and cheerful. Would definitely stay again, just hope they take the feedback comments onboard. December 12, 2014
