Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent
Arrived late to find that for some strange reason our room had been upgraded! Wow - the first time in years - and I'm not a business man type in a suit! Really nice to know that you upgrade 'ordinary' people on a airport stop over. Genuinely appreciated. Room was great. Even though it was at the front and airport side, it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was very pleasant and was not the sometimes rush and over-crowded holiday-inn breakfast. Plenty of space, and the staff were attentive and helpful.
Good stop over - thank you

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RHE4J Reasonable accommodation but better hotels at LHR
Experience marred by there being two Holiday Inn's with 'Simpson' addresses #Road & Way# how is a traveller supposed to know that?
Not helped by the fact that when you have arrived at the wrong Simpson late at night by the airport shuttle, a taxi driver who is aware of the mistake is on hand - to take your money.
You are charged for internet access after 30 minutes which is unreasonable and exploitive.
No recognition for being a Priority Club Gold Member.
Otherwise staff and accommodation were great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mumoftwo Great Location with added Comfort
An easy to find hotel with ample parking, we stayed here to visit Legoland and Chessington and found it to be a great location, just a shame we didn't get time to see aeroplanes as we were directly opposite the airport. The room was immaculately clean and had plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfasts were plentiful and enjoyable, however the buffet in the evening was a little dissapointing, even though at £19 it was good value for money, the food was excellent quality but lacked vegetables which was a shame as the other dishes were great. The room was very quiet on the back of the hotel but friends on the front still said they were quiet, I would highly recommend this hotel

A very good choice for arriving or departing Heathrow. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped and well serviced. Food is good, particularly the buffet during the evening dinner service. All the staff encountered were obliging and courteous without being over attentative. The only downside is the cost of parking, but being so close to Heathrow and with parking at a premium I guess it is inevitable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Brithea Good Convenient Airport Hotel
Chose this hotel as it is close to airport and car rental returns. Although located directly on the A4 the soundproofing in the hotel is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and of reasonable size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to stay overnight before or after a flight. Be careful that you find the right Holiday Inn as this one is on Sipson Way and there is another Holiday Inn on Sipson Rd only one mile away.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tsbtucson Better than expected
I didn't really know what to expect, but past stays at Holiday Inns elsewhere prepared me for less than what I got. The room was fresh, comfortable and quiet. Perfect for my one night stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. The shuttle from the airport is my biggest bugaboo. I expected a free shuttle and went to the tourist desk to find it. Turns out it wasn't free. Not being familiar with the airport or area, I paid the 16 pounds for a roundtrip ticket for two on the shuttle. Seemed like a lot of money to me, but nothing else was offered. The shuttle takes guests to a number of hotels in the airport environs. Our Holiday Inn is the first hotel outside the airport exit, but the shuttle went to the end of the line first and dropped us off last. That was annoying. To pay 8 pounds each for such a short distance added to the annoyance. Then I discovered from the reception desk that a free bus (the U3) runs regularly to and from the airport with a stop very close to the hotel. It's the first stop out of the airport and just a short walk to the hotel. Live and learn.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Odysseaust Great hotel and location
I stayed here while undertaking business in London and between flights into and out of the UK. The location is fantastic for the airport; however, intending guests should note the distance from central London. The room was up to Holiday Inn standards and although my room faced the airport I was not aware of the aircraft noise at all.

Stay here frequently, and the reason is not hard to fathom. The price is competitive, the rooms are comfortable and have all the facilities required. With breakfast included and it's good food too, the restaurant is very good. We have eaten from the buffet, the bar menu and the al la carte, all good ! The staff can't do enough for you and are friendly, helpful and cheerful.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bob30338 Convenient Heathrow Location
We booked this Holiday Inn for two nights because of a 6:25am flight returning to the U.S. After arriving for the first night, I turned in our Hertz car. There is a service station less than one block from the hotel to obtain fuel. The rental return location was very convenient to the hotel and I easily walked back to the hotel after dropping the car.
The next day, we took the Heathrow Express into London. A free bus service to the Heathrow Central Bus Station can be boarded even closer than the service station mentioned above. Catching the Heathrow Express is a short walk from the Central Bus Station.
On our day of departure, due to our early flight, the hotel desk arranged for a taxi to terminal 4. The taxi was punctual and we easily made our flight.
The front desk was superb in providing information on all of the above. The hotel property itself is okay but its location could not be better. WiFi access is free for 30 minutes, but then rather costly. 24-hour WiFi should be free as part of the hotel rate.
If we return to London, we will stay here again prior to our return flight. Perhaps their WiFi policy will be corrected by then

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AAWortho great airport hotel
We stayed here each side of our trip to New York and both times were very comfortable.
The first night we arrived too late to eat in the restaurant but bar snacks were still available.
The rooms were a good size with great beds and a choice of pillows.
One negative was there was no water in the room (free of otherwise) and wifi was quite expensive

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Peter24 OK once you got there
Finding this hotel from the M4 is a nightmare. The directions given assume that you're coming from the airport - there's nothing giving directions other than that so it took us a while to find the hotel. Once there it was ok for the short time we stayed. Reception were helpful abut getting to the airport for 4.45am.

The room was very good the only problem was the shower, the head was way to low so I had to bend over to get the water on my head. The food was good and the room was excellant. I would stay there again if I had a flight out the next day.

The staff on check in were very welcoming, our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast next morning was really good and staff were very helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we will always use this hotel whenever we are flying in or out of Heathrow.

Great location, take the free bus to LHR, U3, then you can get to Central London without any problems, about 45 minutes on the Tube. Room was clean and nice. Bed was comfortable. Room was quite. Breakfast was great with a large selection of foods on the breakfast bar. I would stay there again when in London. Staff was great with directions and more than willing to help.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kankosha73 Bring your own alarm-clock!
I stayed one night at this hotel because I needed to use the airport shuttle bus that could pick me up the hotel and get me to the airport by 6.30 am. On arrival at the reception desk I booked an early morning call for 5am.
As it happened I did not sleep well that night ( no fault of the hotel) and woke up a little before 5am. I did not get an early morning call.
As I waited at the hotel entrance for the shuttle bus to arrive, I overheard two women talking. One of them said she had not received her early morning call. She would have overslept if it had not been for her sister who had used the alarm on her mobile phone. Her sister called from another room just to make sure that she was getting up.
I was lucky to be awake and so did need a wake-up call. But it would have ruined my holiday if I had slept on and thus missed my flight. Please speak to the staff on your reception desk.
Radio 4 and BBC World Service are two of my favourite programmes. I was disappointed that they were on the list of available programs. Would it be possible to add them to the list?

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Drew301 Room Standard Poor
I stayed over in this hotel after a long string of stays in other hotels.
As a platinum member of the priority club I wasn't surprised to not be upgraded at this hotel as it is so busy and I did get my complimentary bag by way of an apology. I was surprised to be allocated a disabled room though not my favourite rooms due to alarms that hang everywhere (and risk of me pulling one) but also wet rooms (cannot stand them).
Settled down for an early night after a nice bar snack with the wife and no problems. However, after the wife had showered it became clear that the wet room is exactly what it says on the tin. I had to try and get ready in a flooded bathroom brushing my teeth standing in 3mm of cold water - absolutely appalling construction and a huge fail. Never again will I accept a disabled room in this hotel (or any other). Disappointing and worst problem encountered in an intercontinental hotel ever!

We stayed as family, great value, good food, clean. Fold out bed was too small for our adult sized fifteeen year old, but otherwise a perfect place for the family too stay and enjoy. Plane watching at Heathrow was an added bonus. Hotel room was very quiet with the windo shut

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FDR24 Family stay
We had a very enjoyable stay, our 2 young sons particularly enjoyed themselves, with the views of the aeroplanes from the room window (the triple glazing meant the noise didn't disturb us at all). The staff were all friendly and helpful, with extra care being taken such as arranging our sons teddy bears in the bed, which brought a smile every evening when we got back from a days sight seeing in London.
The restaurant was clean and well managed with lovely food.
Transport links into central London were very easy via the bus stop almost outside the door.
We will certainly consider staying here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JimmyTheJock Superb service; my new choice for a Heathrow stop-over.
I have previously stayed at other hotels in the LHR area when stopping over either before or after a flight and decided to give this H.I. a try.
Having now stayed there I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and of its staff.
A couple of queries I made before our stay were quickly and efficiently dealt with and on arrival we were warmly greeted and allocated a nice room with a superb view of the airport.
Despite being so close you would not have known LHR was there, the soundproofing is excellent and my wife and I enjoyed an excellent nights sleep in a comfortable bed.
At check-in it was nice to be acknowledged as an IHG 'Platinum' member and given a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room on the top floor.
We did not take breakfast as it was an early morning flight but check-out was quick and efficient, unlike a certain other LHR hotel I could mention, also part of the IHG chain, where at times you can stand for 10 - 15min awaiting front-desk service.
My verdict; if only all Holiday Inn hotels were like this I would never stay anywhere else. Well done Holiday Inn Heathrow!

We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 in the evening, hungry and tired. I was very happy to hear that food was still available in the restaurant and the bar, plus we even had time to check in and drop our luggage in the room before coming back for food. The bar has a good variety (the wings were delicious), the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I'd stay again while passing through London.

Hoppa bus very convenient, runs frequently and on time. Able to pay for return ticket on way to hotel and make small saving.
Enjoyed bar food rather than having to eat in restaurant. Menu choice good, food excellent..
Very good choice at breakfast.
Made use of free internet service - very useful.
