You stay at a hotel expecting that the hotel would give some consideration for mistakes they made that caused you major discomfort. I was amazed how quiet it was as we were so close to the airport. We didn't eat there this time but have done previously and enjoyed the food. October 6, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mini Gym & Internet Access The actual room and cleanliness was satisfactory but I had a real problem with the pay for Internet Access policy, expecially for Priority Members. Many of your visistors are business travellers who need internet access to conduct business. It seemed like this was a hidden charge (TAX) that was not expected. Even though it was not a huge amount it is more about the principle of the matter. I will stay at a competitor if ever in this area again. As for the MINI GYM it is as advertised, needs better dumbells (really plastic ones?). October 5, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A lovely getaway My husband and I wanted a night away, and so we chose this property, and how pleased we were to have done so. The desk staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and our room was superb. Dinner was delicious and plentiful, and we had a marvelous, restful night's sleep - hard to believe we were so near one of the busiest airports in the World. Highly recommend it even if you're not flying anywhere the next day - it's just a nice place to stay when you need a night away. The one thing they didn't have that we missed was a pool - it would have been lovely to take a swim, but hey, you can't have everything. October 3, 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room Shower was poorly designed The bathroom design was very poor. The shower door was the type that only was meant to cover half of the bath tub lenght. The problem is that the door would not shut. As such the entire bathroom floor was drenched. Everytime I walked into the room my socks got wet even though I was wearing my slippers. I would have changed rooms, but I was only staying for one night in order to catch and early flight. This is the only Holiday Inn facility where I have encountered this type of issue. The restaurant service was also very poor. The servers seemed to be poorly trained or just indifferent. Even after asking for the bill I had to wait about 15 minutes. I eventually walked over to ask for the bill a thrid time. Overall very poor location when compared to other Holiday Inns. Next time I am in the London area I will stay at another hotel that is close to the airport. Also the phone in my room was not working and the wake up call came in the form of a knock on the door. I appreciated this. The front desk staff was very good and professional. The food and beverage staff along with the facilities staff needs more training. I would say that Housekeeping should have noticed that the shower door does not stay shut and that this would cause the floor to get extremely wet with no where for the water to drain. I usually to to England twice a year on business. This time I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Aylesbury, England (great experience) and the Holiday Inn in Heathrow (which was a very bad experience). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bathroom etc. Temperature of hot water was high enough for me to enjoy bath which is one of the critically important elements when travelling. Although towels looked a little tired, still they were clean with no problem. It would be better if hair dryer was equipped. I enjoyed breakfast , too. Bed was also comfortable. October 1, 2012

This Holiday Inn was clean, easy to use and a good value - even have WiFi for you to use as well. If you have an early flight out of LHR - this is a good find. Also, you can take the U3 public bus for free to Heathrow Central Terminal to get the Tube into the City or to get to your flight - couldn't be easier. September 30, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good food, optimum airport location but rooms smell of smoke. The breakfast served was very good and had many choices on the buffet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. While the location was close to Heathrow, there was no 'official' shuttle which made if difficult for someone from out of country to locate the ride to the hotel. Had to take a cab. Apparently the hotel was a smoking hotel although it isn't now. The room smelled like smoke which made it difficult to rest. September 29, 2012

Room very clean & well equipped - best of all - good glazing, so sound of aircraft not intrusive at all - I'm a light sleeper because of pain, so that's important to me. Hotel quiet at night.Good restaurant , very close to terminals. Will be our hotel of choice when next we fly from Heathrow. Thank you to all staff! September 29, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect location for Heathrow but lousy on line directions A comfortable hotel within 10 minutes of Terminal 1. Checkin staff were efficient and helpful and gave us the time to sort out a couple of problems. Room service was better than average and on time. We liked the offer of a hotel cab to the airport costing just a little more than the Hopper which goes around several other hotels. Not good if timing is tight. Would have liked an iron/board in the room. Major complaint...LOUSY ON LINE DIRECTIONS to the hotel from M4 (Non existent) and from Terminal 1. This page hasn't been updated in AGES, it still refers to Concorde as a landmark!!! We spent over 35 minutes trying to get to the hotel. Not the best introduction for our first time visit. Excellent position for the terminal but be aware that the shuttle bus from Heathrow finishes around 11.35pm. However , the shuttle to terminal 1 is less than 10 minutes All the staff were excellent and it is the first time for a while that anyone has realised I have Priority Rewards Cards. Staff were excellent, room was very comfy and the selection for breakfast was amazing. My daughter was ill the second day and didn't eat any of the buffet brekkie but the chef made her fresh pancakes without being asked, which she scoffed! Would definitely return to this hotel . Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room and good access to airport We enjoyed our stay here although we thought that we were booking the holiday inn on Simpson road near the green motion car hire, and we had to catch a taxi from there to this hotel. It would be helpful if you could point out on your website that there is more than one holiday inn at heathrow as the taxi driver told us that many people make the same mistake. Otherwise a pleasant and comfortable stay. The room was nice and quiet even though it was close to the road and the we could see the buses passing the window. September 23, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A night's stay after Lady Gaga @ Twickenham I have to say that I stay in Holiday Inn hotels whenever I go away on a personal basis as well as business due to the priority club scheme. This Holiday Inn exceded all my expectations and rates as the best one I have stayed in to date. I have stayed in ICG hotels for the last 15 years. It is nothing special from the outside but inside the staff are friendly and polite, bedrooms are modern, clean and tidy as well as being well maintained. Finally the breakfast was amazing. I have never seen a chef cooking you a fresh fried egg or omelette before. So well done as it really bowled me over. I have seen it in other hotel brands. I would totally recommend this particular Holiday Inn. September 18, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate for a quick stopover Once we found the entrance round the back of the building the reception team booked us in quickly but offered little information about our stay. We certainly felt unwanted in the dining room when we were tucked in a corner by the fire exit and the clean up station which was stacked up with dirty dishes. Not sure why as the dining room was not full and there were only the three of us. The beds in the room were a disappointment. The sofa bed had a mattress as thin as a cracker and the duvet was actually a blanket in a duvet cover. The double bed had a dip so deep in the middle that it was near impossible to turn over and not both end up in the centre of the bed. As we had to be up at 5.30 we didn't have the time or the energy to phone reception to enquire about another bed. I couldn't tell you what the breakfast was like as we were not told where or when it was or even if we could get anything at our early departure time. My tip if you're going to stay here - check your bed and duvet before you do anything else. September 17, 2012

Room service was very quick and tasty - staff were able to accommodate a special request for me. When heading off for an early morning flight check-out was simple. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great helpful service from Anita. My friends did not arrive on the morning flight from Miami. I eventually discovered they were arriving the following morning. Rather than drive back to Dorset only to return the next morning, I decided to walk into the Holiday Inn and ask for a room. I explained my predicament to Anita who was extremely helpful and found me a room which I could go directly into. She assisted by logging me into the internet so that I could make my arrangements, finding me a toothbrush and comb as I only had what I stood up in. I had a very good lunch in the bar and the buffet dinner was as always, excellent. My bed was comfortable and I arose in the morning, rested and ready to greet my friends and head home.
