Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by kitty432 getting to the hotel and airport
OK, this is easy IF you know what you are doing. Unfortunately, the bus driver took us to the wrong Holiday Inn (there are 4....we had the street address, but it didn't help). The desk at the wrong place was able to direct us to the right one, but by then we were tired, wet, frustrated, etc. London hotels cannot run shuttles to/from the airport. There is a "Hoppa Bus" for 4.50 pounds per person, which is highway robbery. The free bus will get you less than a block from the hotel IF you get on the right bus and the driver helps with the right stop. DO NOT use the 255 bus. It does not go to this hotel!
From the hotel to Heathrow, the U3 leaves from the same side of the street as the hotel or you can cross Bath Road and take one of several different bus numbers. Unfortunately, the hotel staff want to sell you the Hoppa system.
OK, hotel in general. Clean, neat, OK. There are a series of double doors (about 6 sets!) that you have to go thru to get to the elevator and then to get to your room. This is a real pain with rolling luggage as you must open the first, get yourself and luggage thru...open the second and repeat. Walk a short distance and do it all again.
Food is expensive. Take the free bus to the pub or to McDonald's.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mintyflop Great Airport hotel
An airport hotel needs to give you:
1. Pleasant service - if you are polite and decent, you will be treated at least as well.
2. Good location.
3. Good atmosphere.
4. Decent food and facilities.
So, for '1' I score 5 because the staff are so polite and helpful that that they deserve no less.
For '2' they score 5 because no main hotel is closer.
For 3 they score 4 because they are great but there is always a rogue guest.
For 4, it's s 4 also. The food is fine for it's hotel class. There is no Bridge Club - but if you really want that try somewhere else.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MikeyJ Close to airport, but difficult to get to the airport from Hotel
Stayed for one night, arriving mid afternoon and leaving early next morning.
Chose this hotel as I thought it would allow very easy access the airport and also easy acces to London City centre.
Had to walk to nearby public bus stop and wait for 25 minutes in the rain to get free bus to Airport bus centre, then took express train to Paddington. All in all took about 1 hour 15 mins from Hotel to centre of London...
To get to airport next morning I decided to order a taxi, which was timely but expensive for such a vey short jiurney.
The Hotel really needs to provide a free 24 hour shuttle to the airport - similar to the service provided by virtually all US airport hotels.

Generally speaking this Hotel provided good value for money.
Concerierge servide was very good. Sara was particualry helpful.
Breakfast buffet was very good as was the evening dinner buffett too.
My only negative was the outrageous charges for inroom Wifi, but that being said, we could go down to the business centre and log on for free.

I didnt realise there are four Holiday Inns near Heathrow. If possible, book another. This one is like a motel. Also we had to pay £12 to park our car overnight (despite being paying guests) and no breakfast was included. So by the time you add up all the extras, you would be better off paying more for a better hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sillybarn Better inside
Looks like a modern prison from outside, but the room was comfortable and had all the essentials. Hard to get nearer to Heathrow central so good for an early start.
Although large airport hotels tend to be soulless, some staff were human and helpful. The receptionist had a particularly good blend of efficiency with friendliness.
'Extras' looked pricey, but the nearby pub (with free wifi) and bus stop mean that alternatives are easy to find.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MyriamQY Spacious room, clean and comfortable.
The check-in was smooth, staff were welcoming and friendly.
The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a good size.
Breakfast was more than adequate.
Free wifi in the room was limited to 30 minutes per day - I wish the duration could have been more generous, say, two hours.
The hotel was obliging to safe-keep our luggage after we checked out, as our flight out of Heathrow Airport was in the evening.
Th hotel is well- served by buses plying between Heathrow Airport and the hotel. They ran very much according to schedule.

I travel all over the world and using Holiday Inn hotels + Hilton brand. My experience of this Hotel in London Heathrow is that Staff are very helpful with any kind of request to help you. The Bar meal food is excellent as is the beverage and service, with comfortable relaxing room.
Highly recommended

As we stayed on rewards points I don't know how reasonable this property is if paid for in currency; restaurant prices are not inexpensive, although both the light supper we had on arrival and the continental (cold) breakfast buffet the next morning were well-prepared.
Our room (1211) was reasonably sized. Hanging space was limited. What storage there was in the room was open except for one large drawer. This was no deterrent for a one night stay, but the lack of drawers and limited hanging space would probably become annoying on a longer stay. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and bedding was of good quality and comfortable. Despite our proximity to the airport, our room was very quite; we also appreciated windows which could be opened for ventilation; despite our having it open the room remained quiet overnight.
Staff were excellent; without exception for the ones we had contact with. A package addressed to me was turned over even before I'd mentioned it.
Because I'd researched beforehand, I was not surprised that the hotel did not have any sort of complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport; the available transportation is the H-4 hotel "Hoppa" bus which is BPS 4.00 each way. It seems to me that most airport oriented establishments would have some system organized for free or inexpensive transport to and from the airport.
Broadband internet access was, as is the case with many UK hotels, quite overpriced, but this was tempered by the fact that the first 1/2 hour is free; generally that should be enough for many travelers to check and respond to their email.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2Ducks Changing experiences added to overall splendid impression
Having spent many happy and comfortable days and nights in this hotel over several years,my wife and I decided to take advantage of the 'business meeting facilities' that are on offer. We could not have been more agreeably surprised: perhaps on reflection as the previous 'domestic' stays had been so enjoyable and successful we should have expected this business extension to be of a similar standard. It was! The meeting room was equipped to a high professional standard, the staff on hand were knowledgeable and friendly and the crowning glory was the buffet lunch offered to our delegates. Everyone of our guests enthused and have asked us to hold future meetings in this hotel and the answer from us is a resounding - YES PLEASE!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vivaldi44 Perfect for Heathrow Airport
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and been happy with my stay, but this was my first visit in quite a while, and I was astonished at the improvements. From the friendly greeting upon check-in to the courteous and efficient check-out, this is now a hotel that punches above its weight in terms of customer service. I had a bar snack rather than use the restaurant for my evening meal and the variety and pricing structure was excellent with something for everybody and all budget levels. My room, which was an Executive non-smoking room was well furnished and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and functional with good quality amenities. If I had any criticism of the hotel it would be only regarding breakfast, since by the time I went down for this meal, (08.45), the buffet was looking a little tired. Staff on duty were good, however, and a delicious omelette was brought to my table. As a pre or post flight hotel this particular Holiday Inn is ideal, and of course there are Hotel bus connections to all terminals at London Heathrow Airport.

This holiday inn was great value as the breakfast choice is so vast. The rooms were very clean and the whole hotel smelt nice. The drinks at the bar were a bit expensive but not unexpected. The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure we were well looked after (booking taxi to airport). It is confusing that one holiday inn is on sipson road and another is on sipson way so be aware.

We have used this particular Holiday inn because of the location
And nothing else. Over the past 10 years we have been here for
5 times. I am over 75 years and yet the staff gave me the room farthest from elevator. I did not get any benefit for being a loyal customer or being priority club member.

My room was located very close to the elevator, which was noisy, which I don't believe resulted in getting sound sleep. Both days breakfast was exactly the same. Suggest there be some variety added to the breakfast buffet.

We arrived early on an incoming flight from Australia laden down with luggage. The reception team couldn't do enough to help us with our luggage and to try and get the family checked in early. Ben in particular was fantastic and remembered us the day after as we checked out.
Both dinner and breakfast were well cooked and served in good portion sizes.
Overall a very well run hotel, with very friendly staff and atmosphere, even the cold shuttle bus drivers were smiling!
Well done Holiday Inn!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LindaBut Very comfortable and relaxing
What's happened to the Holiday Inn? It seems to have gone up market! We were very pleasantly suprised with this hotel. The room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. I have reduced mobility so was very pleased to have the luxury of a wet room rather than bath. The only thing I would change would be to put a shower screen in to prevent some of the water spreading to other areas of the floor. Obviously for wheelchair users this would need to be opened up so it would need to be on hinges rather than fixed. Overall though, very happy to have stayed there and would recommend it to other travellers. The fact that we could leave our car in a secure underground car park was an added bonus.
