The hotel is a very short taxi ride from Kings Cross and although away from the main London attractions, the underground at Russell Square is fairly close. The Hotel has a very good reception with plenty of space and you do not feel crowded going to the lift. The rooms are not bad at all bearing in mind this is London. However, I found the bed to be far to soft and too well sprung which meant when I turned the whole bed became like a water bed and I bounced about for the next 10 seconds. I used the fitness centre which was not bad but very bland and no imagination in the layout of the equipment. I was also very disappointed to find that I had to pay an additional fee to use the equipment. Breakfast was of a good quality but with a cafeteria style system it was a bit of a "bun fight" which detracted from the experience. Additionally, although the tables were clean the carpet did show signs of previous users and could do with a very good clean or replacement. Although I have mentioned some poor points I think the hotel is good value for money provided you take advantage of the various offers and early booking.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gilly9 excellent facilities and great service
Best hotel we have stayed in London. Very helpful staff pool and steam room kept the kids happy. Room service super quick even though we stayed at a very busy time of the year. Had to queue for breakfast but as mentioned stayed Christmas time so expected it to be busy. When seated the breakfast was first class.
All staff were so attentive and helpful. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful Christmas break.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Billisolv Nice Hotel poor location
Having booked on the internet and not being familiar with London I was disappointed to discover the hotel was not within walking distance of anything, not even a tube station. The Hotel was clean and the staff very attentive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but due to the noise from the next room it was difficult to sleep. The food in the dining room was good and the Indian restaurant that was open in the evening was very good also. However the breakfast seemed quite expensive, especially as there was no choice to have anything less than the full buffet. As I only wanted toast or cereal and a coffee I was not happy, I had expected it to be included in the room price, which was quite high compared to the other hotels we had stayed in on the trip through Europe, Amsterdam Brussels and Paris, where breakfast was included. It was easy and fast to get a taxi which the hotel would hail for you if there was not one waiting outside. Would not recommend only based on location, if having to take a taxi everywhere is not an issue than the hotel is fine
