Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Try the restaurant on the top floor I've stayed here on business two times so far this month (Oct, 2014) and had very pleasant stays both times. The hotel is conveniently located just off the freeway and easy to find. (The off-ramp literally takes you right up to the driveway of the hotel). I stayed in the tower rooms both times which both had a lovely view of the city lights at night. The Long Beach Airport is just across the street and yes, it can be noisy on take-off but the airport didn't seem that busy and there were no middle of the night flights that I heard. In short, the occasional airplane noise did not affect my sleep. The restaurant on the top floor is really quite good. In addition to the menu that you'll find at all the Holiday Inn's (if you're a gold or platinum member, you'll be familiar with this), the chef here has some really excellent dishes as well. I highly recommend the rib eye steak with the fresh grilled vegetables or the chicken parmesan over penne pasta. The service at the restaurant was excellent as well. I believe my server's name was Miguel. He took great care of me. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. October 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staycation Romantic Getaway Overall I was extremely pleased and had a blast with my boyfriend staying here. The staff made my romantic weekend awesome with making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The only thing I would say to maybe take a look at is; 1. Lounge/Bar décor....maybe up it to more of a lounge bar environment than looking a little more like a "lobby" or room changed into a drinking area. (However LOVED the view!) 2. Maybe get rid of the TV playing during dinner hours in the Panorama restaurant. It takes away from the environment to be more "romantic or classy" 3. The steak was more fat than meat (However I didn't mind it) as my boyfriend isn't fond of that kind of cut on the New York Strip. Other than that I have to say I can't wait for another stay here!!!!! Hotel Restaurant and Lounge area has lots of potential but could use a re-make to take advantage of the 360 degree view. Seems to be a lot of wasted space between the separated lounge and restaurant. Staff was great. But, would probably checkout the other hotels in the area before returning. October 20, 2014
