We chose the location based on a wedding we were attending and our young son wanted have a hotel with a pool available. Even being close to the airport, we felt the noise was properly muted through the use of keeping the balcony closed and using the air conditioner. We enjoyed the amenities and the restaurant on location. August 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Regrettable I went to a business trip, at reservations they said paymente must be make in full at check out. Before that, I called just to confirm that info, because I wanted to pay with credit card (I'm from another country (Panama) and I cant use my cc outside the country), and reservation guy told me the payment should be made cash at check out, again. Secondly I went to the hotel and finally at counter they requested me a credit card or half of the total amount cause I couldnt pay at check out. Total missunderstanding, I felt so confused that I dont think im going to make another reservation with you guys. Regrettable. July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable room Our stay at the Holiday Inn LB Airport was a last minute one, as our plans fell through staying at a friend's house. We normally don't stay at a Holiday Inn, but the other hotels in the area were sold out for the 3 nights we needed. We were quite surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the room, considering how old a property this is. What really impressed me was that for how full the hotel was, it was a very quiet night's sleep. Much appreciated, even if it was a vacation. July 27, 2014

Leaving our car at the hotel for the duration and using the hotel shuttle service to and from airport helped make our vacation stress free. July 22, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Relaxing Stay in Long Beach - Super Staff! Stayed to visit friends in Long Beach. Hotel was very busy and pool area was nice to relax. Staff was friendly and great as always and the restaurant and bar staff are the best ever! Housekeeping did a great job. Everything was clean and tidy when I returned from a long day. WiFi was free and super fast. I still can't get over the size of the TV and number of channels they offer compared to other hotels. I noticed signs in the elevator that they will be soon renovating the hotel starting later this year. The pictures look great! I love the location and service. I think this will only get better once they complete the renovation. Kudo to the Long Beach team! July 10, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty Carpets Each time we stay at the Long Beach Airport Hotel we have complained that the carpets in he room are filthy. When my husband looks at the bottom of his socks they are black. If he has his socks off when he takes a shower the dirt just pours off I to the tub. I actually saw this with my own eyes this last stay. July 9, 2014

Step around the door to close it, no room for bath mat and the door latch was problematic. Not a problem because you could use your knee to keep it closed if on the toilet! July 4, 2014

Well, let me tell you--DIRTY is the only word to describe the conditions of our room. Soooo, dirty that when I walked about our room in barefeet, my feet became dirty--and I had worn shoes all day long (and my feet were cleaned that morning in the shower of another hotel). When I stepped in to the shower, the water ran dark brown from the dirt that accumulated from the carpet in our room. GROSS--I recommend you stay anywhere else but in this location. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service Pre arrangements were made with manager for the bar area to be opened for private sitting after 10pm. When we arrived at hotel they simply said it was not going to happen after all and would not offer any compensation or workarounds for the issue. Many people in wedding party were disappointed and felt they were lied to by Holiday Inn so that they would book their rooms in advance. Also next morning the front desk was absolutely unreachable from outside phone lines. June 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service, Comfortable and Clean Room It was a very pleasant experience overall. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. I wish I could remember his name...I made a mental note for this review, but then I forgot! He was a bit on the short side, late 30's early 40's, clean shaven, clean cut black hair and Hispanic. My flight arrived well before scheduled check-in and he accommodated me and my daughter in a great room with double beds. My initial reservation requests were granted without a hitch. He also immediately found someone who would help me at the computer center when I was having trouble printing. He always had a friendly smile and greeting no matter how many times I passed by him. Thank you for making my time away from home so pleasant! I was a bit concerned with the possible noise level when booking this hotel being that it is so close to the airport. I have actually avoided this hotel in the past for fear of being woken up at night by airplanes. Well.. it turns out that I was wrong! I stayed in the tower, 10th floor, for 4 days and didn't hear a single airplane...and I was working in my room for a good portion of the time. The day-time traffic noise was a little loud, but nothing unbearable by any means. I am a light sleeper and brought my earplugs to use at night but I didn't need them. It was mid to high 60's last week and rather windy...I thought it might be uncomfortably chilly to use the pool, but we went in the heated pool and had a great time. Coming out was a tad cool, but the pool was clean and warm. The restaurant has great service and good food. The lounge is nice too. Beautiful views and nice selection of appetizers, entrees, and drinks. We will definitely be back to Long Beach and will be staying at this Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport. May 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Surprising modern, clean and comfortable I was pleasantly surprised with the room quality. I prefer a softer bed, but I had soft pillows, so that was great. My only problem was that I forgot my earplugs, but the front desk provided me with a pair the second night. Obviously, any hotel next to a freeway will have traffic noise, even on the 10th floor. So, plan accordingly. A strict policy of no parties in the rooms kept the halls quiet during a graduation party. I was very thankful for that, since I've stayed in many other hotels where the management refuses to quench the celebration in a hotel room. So, thank you for the quiet!
