I have been staying in hotels for the past 4 years Monday through Friday. I choose this one more than half the time for several reasons. The location is excellent. The staff do an outstanding job. They know everything that I enjoy during my stay from the location of my room to what I would most likely order for breakfast. I consider it my home away from home! Even when not on business I have found myself staying here.

We attended the Spa and Salon Conference and decided to stay near the airport to get away from the crowds. We found this location and remember the hotel when I was a student at Cal State Long Beach. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff was fantastic and helped us with directions. Breakfast was fast and fresh. Servers were busy, but very attentive. Dinner was a great surprise. Great food, outstanding view and pleasant staff that was eager to please. I didn't expect such a great wine selection or beverage choices, but was really happy with their menus.
Housekeepers were smiling and it seemed like everyone we met enjoyed working at their hotel. Free parking was a plus and was very well lighted. We felt safe during our stay.
Kudos for Holiday Inn! We will be back soon!

Stay here many times a year.Love the view from the bar.
Food is good. It is next to an airport so you do hear the planes but not bad.

very disappointed. Breakfast buffet was priced at $14.95, staying 7 nights, that gets very expensive for 2 people
Didn't know about cost of breakfast until we checked in.
--smoke alarm didn't appear to be working
--no microwave in room
--ragged carpet at bathroom doorway
--no towel rack at sink

I regularly spend my nights when on busness in the Long Beach area at the Holiday Inn Airporter. I can not say enough about the frendly and warm greetings I get at check-in. The professional and courteous service they provide. I look forward to checking in when I make a reservation.

This property came highly recommended from a co-worker who stayed there ounce before. The staff was very welcoming ounce we checked in. Property was a eye catcher as stated by my co-worker. I was truly impressed an do look forward to my next stay.

This is one of the classic SoCal round tower Inns. Very well maintained with a great staff.. Location is directly off the 405, minutes from downtown Long Beach.
Now the bad news--even platinum members don't get a breakfast coupon. Only 10% discount. The top floor restaurant is more of a scenic dinner spot. Breakfast service was very slow plus I received the wrong order. When the right one arrived, it was overcooked and overpriced.
Stay at the hotel, but eat at the local diner across the street.

Expensive. Old room with old furniture and smelled bad. I had to use Febreeze on my clothes. Clean bathroom.

I don't think this hotel has a bad view from any room. There were only a few negative things: 1. Didn't have assistantat the door to unload luggage from my car; 2. Parking for the club members was few and should be numbered/assigned so that other guests do not park there, esp. coming in late at night and not being able to find ANY parking; 3. Add more ice machine on all floors and drink machines on fewer floors; and lastly 4. While my California omelette and coffee were wonderful, the potatoes which stated in the menu were brown and crispy, were dry and soggy. The room was great and the staff was friendly, I had a great view from the upper floor and the location was perfect, especially for those wanting to be close to the airport or not too far from the night ife of Long Beach or Huntington Beach area.

We had and outstanding stay at this great Iconic hotel. We visited friends in the area and had a very relaxing visit. Great staff, Great Location! Excellent Restaurant and Lounge. Pool Area was recently renovated or upgraded and was very pleasant.

We stayed with a conference that was going on. My only complaint was that I didn't get any priority club points for my stay. The room was clean and the staff was very accomodating. the location was easy to find right by the airport. The food was good in the penthouse resturant and not over priced.
