Place was very clean, staff especially in the Bar, was very nice. good value in Bar during happy hour. Stayed during the Long Bach Gran Prix, was a little pricey, but that was proably due to lots of people in town for the race. April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very comfortable stay Stayed here the night before going on a cruise to Mexico with my family. Used the Stay, Park, and Go feature. My car was safe the entire week and the hotel room was comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant made the experience so nice. We took the shuttle to the cruise port and were picked up upon getting back. We were able to get in our cars and go. I will definitely stay here again next time! April 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to Long Beach Airport The positives: friendly staff, free WiFi, decent room, surprisingly good breakfast, free shuttle to/from airport which is less than 5 minutes away. Regarding the hotel restaurant, it is located on the top floor and is lined with windows. Although the breakfast, like most hotel restaurants, is a bet over priced, the food was hot, the eggs were cooked just right, the bacon was wonderfully crisp, the pototoes were crisp without being greasy, and the service was attentive. The negatives: very firm bed (others may not find this a negative), very thick pillows that gave me a neck ache (using just one pillow) so I needed to sleep without a pillow which was not easy because the bed is so firm. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Expressions - people I want on my team. expressions, from 28th Mar, I'd just returned to my bar stool to fininsh watching the UL vs KY game. The location, the 20th floor, Holiday Inn-Airport, Long Beach CA, had finished dinner, excellent lemon-dill sauce on grilled salmon, skip the mash potatoes, perfect veggies. Then like a rough plane ride #but different) everything moved, from nothing to something in a brief 2-3 seconds. Liz the waitess stopped, touched the bartenders arm and they were in the door frame, 3 steps,....then I realize, "ohhh it's an earthquake", and joined group of 3 in the double door entry to ride it out, the door frame with Liz & the bartender was closer but he was a big guy in a single wide, nuff said. The quake, I'll call it La Habra's fround, a quake centered 13-15 miles away. Expressions afterwards by Liz is the story , Liz, she really surprised me, her face changed, from serious, focused, doing her job, being the best that she can be, to, she'd just got off a roller coaster ride, smiling, eyes bright, excited, from no words or sounds to words like music with eye contact leaving me know it's over, and asking was I okay x's 3. "Thanks for asking, yes, I'm okay, I'm okay." Excuse me Liz, I need to finish watching the game, please." That's Bob, typical of others who have a sports passion, a fan living a purpose. All I can say, I didn't intend to be cold, without emotion, but she must have seen my expression and her's was the best drug for me. I must have been the color of snow, crazy to finish my wine and watch the game. The 20th floor of the Holiday Inn (bar) get my vote for "Best Long Beach bar". ohhh, a request, take 60 minutes on a Friday night and give them to the 20th floor HI bar, Long Beach CA. Say hey to Liz and the big guy, Share that Liz 's expression is a story and will be forever my memory. 2 thumbs up for the grilled salmon-lemon-dill sauce (skip the potatoes). I'll owe you one. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and surprisingly the noise from the nearby 405 Fwy wasn't as overwhelming as I expected. Loved the food in the PH Restaurant but it seemed too pricey for what I got. Almost $17 for a buffet breakfast with limited selections and kept at inconsistant temperature. Nothing fancy enough to merit $17. Overyall it was a good weekend and enjoyed my time with friends and family. March 26, 2014

They have a shuttle that took me back and fourth and that was nice not to get my car out to go 3.5 miles. Hotel is a little old and could use some updating. March 7, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok I had a conferece scheduled at this facilty and decided it would be easiest to stay on site. I felt that the hotel was in serious need of an update. For that reason, I don't believe that it was a good value for the money. The staff was friendly. The breakfast (not included) was great and the wait staff attentive. Over all I probably wouldn't recomment it, but if you have to stay there, it's ok. February 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Stay This was my 3rd time staying here and I must say it gets better and better. The hotel was very busy but the front desk staff was efficient and friendly. I arrived early and my room was not ready so they suggested I check out the Panorama lounge at the top of the hotel. I had a glass of wine (a great Pino) while I waited and enjoyed the amazing view from the top. The server was friendly and even checked on my room for me without even having to ask. I stayed in the upgraded King rooms and found it spacious and comfy. Having a refrigerator was a nice plus for my 3 night stay. The next day I had breakfast in the restaurant and was very pleased. Another plus was that the bed was VERY comfortable. I was honestly surprised :) February 17, 2014

It is about 5 miles from the sirport and a failry congested area however the underground parking covers the vehicle requirement. It is a 10 minute walk to Old Town where there are a dozen or more resteraunts, shops, bodegos, etc - its a nice rea. February 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Average Rooms for such a big Company Had to change the Room twice for a 3 days business stay. The bed were giving iching sensation - no help even on the room change. But need to give credit to the staff who where nice and friendly and accepted the room change with no questions. But at the end of the day you need a good sleep which all matters :(. Pillow selection of a soft or firm pillow was a nice touch. Bed was covered with a nice fresh clean, white (washable) bedspread over a thin duvet, with a small runner of colour at the foot of the bed. A blockout shade was available in this room to make room dark enough to sleep since lights were on all night long outside of the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One of the Most Convenient Ways to Get in Long Beach (LGB) airport is one of the most convenient in the greater Los Angeles area. It's easy to get anywhere in Orange county from there as well. IMO, it's a more pleasant airport experience than LAX, Irvine or Burbank. I've stayed at this hotel a few times prior to 2008. The recent updates they've made are good. Staff are great. Property is pretty good, considering it's age. Plenty of restaurants nearby, which is a good thing because I was less than impressed with the restaurant on the penthouse level. It's everything you'd come to expect from the rebranded Holiday Inn, and IMO, a great value. -Provided you aren't fussy about amenities. Free shuttle to January 30, 2014
