This was our second time staying at the LA Harbor Crown Plaza and we loved it every bit as much as the first time! This is a great location and it's clean, safe and affordable for the family. Great staff! Beautiful harbor views and fairly close to all beaches and restaurants. Really you couldn't ask for more from hotel for a nice family vacation.

This is a great spot to stay pre or post cruise as for us seniors we can still walk to the ship. It is a typical full-service hotel and we had no complaints. Unfortunately, it seems like all such hotels lack the friendliness that many others have. A little Greek/Italian restaurant just up the street is a good choice as well as Sacred Grounds coffee place a little further up the same street, 7th? It is typically local and a haven for good coffee and seeing all the locals. If it would work, attending something at the Warner Grand Theater is a real, real bonus.

We spent the night here before leaving LA on a 16 night cruise thru the Panama Canal back to Houston. The people working were so friendly and helpful. I was recognized as a Priority Club Member when checking in. I took the option of bonus points for our stay. We were upgraded to a corner suite with a great view. After checking in we needed to get some last minute cruise items from CVS, so they took us to there. We walked back to CP (downhill - thank goodness) and ate at a restaurant along the way. Later that evening we walked downhill again from CP to the water front and toured a museum. I called CP and asked if they would pick us after we ate at the Acapulco restaurant, and they came right away. We never saw any cabs around here! The next morning we had the buffet at CP, then checked out and they took us to the cruise terminal. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend the CP.

This is the reason for my use of the hotel, as few offer it. I used it in 2012 and had about a two hour wait for the shuttle to a Princess cruise to Hawaii but no problems on return. On this stay the trip to the ship (again Princess) was fine but when I tried to call for a return pick up, I just got and endless recording that all personnel were busy and eventually gave up. I assume I would take a taxi but found the line to be 50-100 people or so. Luckily, I then spotted the shuttle and caught it and the driver took me back promptly and was helpful and pleasant.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MDH-fl Lighting Very Poor
The bulbs in the lights flickered to the point I felt a little sick at my stomach and had to turn all of them off whenever possible. Plus it was very hard to see, in some areas of the room, because the overall lighting, even with all of the lights on, was poor.
Also there is insufficient light in the bathroom, above the vanity, for women who wish to put on makeup at that mirror.

It would be nice if coffee and flavored ice water were provided in the lobby. There was not enough coffee provided in the room. Only one of each regular and decaf. Some other hotels also provided cookies in the lobby in the afternoon.,

Upon arrival we were randomly upgraded to an immense executive suite with wrap around view of the San Pedro Harbor. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and most helpful. The underground car park provided excellent security and peace of mind while on the cruise. We enjoy the water front restaurants and activities that are within easy walking distance of the hotel. An all together enjoyable experience.

Beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. My only complaints with the room was that there was no fan in the bathroom.
