Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Parking nightmare! I understand maintenance, but potential guests should be forwarned when it is so bad that after dark a dual wheel vehicle cannot even turn in the entrance. After walking to the desk I was informed that there was a grass lot behind(not even an I am sorry for the inconvenience from the young lady). I took my expensive vehicle there to find it dark, and hidden behind a solid fence on two sides and hedge on a third. I refused to leave it there having been the target for thieves before. I walked back to have the desk call the adjacent hotel for assurance I would not be towed from their lot. The lack of appology or concern of the staff is why I will probably not stay there again! This is not a cheap hotel. I expected more. August 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanks to all Once again my stay in this property was enhanced by the excellent customer service and friendliness of all the staff. All my needs were met or exceeded. Whenever I am in the area, I will consider this hotel - it does not get any better. I did find the pillows to be a bit too hard. Should have asked for softer ones, but I did not. Dinner was good, breakfast had everything I needed, plus a big plate of oatmeal that Tanisha ordered specially for me. Lisa was most accommodating remembering that I had asked for dinner rolls with my salad, and the chef prepared a cobb salad that was not only beautiful but it had no bacon and more chicken as I requested. Thanks also to Amanda, Amanda, Chris, David and Jeff. You are great and I wish you all kinds of success. I appreciate your making me feel so welcome. August 8, 2014

Bus drivers were friendly and even came to pick me up at a different Holiday Inn after I rode the wrong shuttle from the airport. The only thing I noticed I was indifferent about were the curtains would not close over the window completely. August 7, 2014

We had many friends staying at other Hotels and when we met to discuss our accomodations-The Holiday Inn was the clear winner!! Our stay was PERFCT! The staff were ALL courteous and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The reestauranr provided excellent food. The shuttle service was an added convienence that exceeded our excpectations! August 6, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room access and Bugs We have stayed in this hotel many times. This past visit was not a very good visit. I had called ahead to reserve the room. Upon my arrival the young man checked me in. I go up to the 5th floor and when I get there the key to the room doesn't work. So I call to let him know because I didn't want to go back downstairs. He comes up with new keys and I met him halfway in the hall. He was however insistant that he try the key. I was not comfortable being that I was traveling alone this trip. The key he brought up did not work either but he had a master key to let me in. He opened the door and walked in the room before me and I was not going in there until he came out. I do not think a hotel employee should enter a guest room at any time but especially if it is a female traveling alone. It made me very uncomfortable. He did leave and said he would go get another key and bring up to the room. I told him that would not be necessary that I would come to the desk and get one IF I needed one. So later that evening I went out and there was a new young man at the desk. I explained to him what had happened earlier and he made two new keys for my room. However, again HE wanted to come try the key in the door in case it didn't work. I told him no that if this one didn't work I would come back down then and take care of the matter. The key did work so I went into my room and locked the door. I was uncomfortable the entire night and did not rest well at all. I pulled the bed down to discover the sheets on the bed were dirty. I pulled the sheet back over the bed and just laid on the top sheet. The air was on and could not be controlled and the room was cold all night. The next morning I get up to shower and I go into the bathroom to be greeted by 2 bugs crawling around in the bathroom. I took pictures but the next morning I was running late and was unable to stop by the desk to share them with anyone. I knew that would be a long drawn out process and I was already late. I am not sure we will stay in this hotel again. I am not fond of men coming into my room, dirty sheets on my bed and roaches in my room with me. July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR DOWNTOWN TOO We chose this Hotel because the airport location served us well during our last visit and the Hotel was new, so we wanted to give it a try. This is a really nice HI branded Hotel. We very much appreciated the room upgrade and the free breakfast due to our Platinum Status. We found all variables associated with room cleanliness, sleep quality, HVAC comfort, and Staff Helpfulness and courteousness to be excellent. Although this Hotel is very close to the airport, we did not experience sleep problems from the planes going and coming. We did not notice any guest related noise problems outside the room either. We stayed for two nights and were involved with Board meetings downtown at a Charity for which we volunteer. We really liked staying at the airport versus Downtown. Our travel time to Downtown from our Hotel was only five to ten minutes. It worked out perfectly. This Hotel is conveniently located to an easy on and off Hwy 264 which is on Crittenden St. I would highly recommend this option as opposed to I-65 which is undergoing heavy construction and thus lengthy traffic backups. We noted heavy traffic backup particularly and the Northbound 65 route. Do try this Hotel if you are in the Louisville area, we think you will not be disappointed. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Louisville. July 25, 2014

Only downside awkward building location, hard to find the parking lot entrance if you are unfamiliar with the area. the extra effort is worth it. July 23, 2014

No breakfast is offered here and that would really be great if offered in the future. Overall I would consider staying there again if I ever visit the area in the future. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home Once again the staff at this property made me feel welcome and appreciated. My stay was enhanced by the willingness of all to ensure my comfort, ease of check in, availability of food items and the great oatmeal specially prepared for me. If you are going to be away for 5-6 weeks, what better place than this hotel. David showed us a few restaurants walking distance from the hotel and he graciously picked us up at the University of Louisville after we attended a couple of jazz concerts. Thanks to Jeff, the manager who drove me to work every morning, Amanda, the front desk manager whose pleasant disposition and warm personality greeted me, Tanisha for bringing me coffee, water and making sure I had everything I needed for my breakfast. Lisa who seems to work all shifts and was kind enough to drive us,and help in the restaurant with breakfast and dinner. Chris, who checked me in when I arrived late at night and took care of my laundry and transportation needs in the evening. The assistant manager who is so kind and personal and whose name unfortunately escapes me. Thanks to all. I will remember all of you and wish you continued success. July 21, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SHUTTLE SERVICE If you are staying her to use the shuttle to airport and extended parking don't. We were told shuttle ran at 5 am on Sunday the 13th when in fact it did not run until 7 am which is after our flight. One employee agreed to pay cab fare and when the time came another employee refused saying he would be fired if he did that again which tells me this happens frequently or it would not have been an issue. Then we did not do the extended parking and could not get it taken off of the bill as the clerk would not come to the desk when we were trying to check out. We waited 15 minutes. The only positive is the dining room. They had the best service and steak we have had any where in Kentucky or Indiana. July 16, 2014

The restrooms, the restaurant and the whole hotel in general was clean and smelled very fresh. The beds were to die for! I travel for business and this hotel has the best beds I have stayed at in years! The front desk staff is very knowledgeable Amanda M at the front desk was very sweet and even called the room to check on us and if there was anything she could do to make our stay better. I don't receive that attention and genuine care from any other hotel and it was wonderful surprise! July 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay! The staff at this property is fabulous! Amanda M did her best to get into a room as quickly as possible and was very sweet. She worked the next morning after working until 11pm and still had a smile on her face. The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was pleasant. The property was clean, and you couldn't tell there were people actually staying at this property because it was so clean. I did not hear a single airplane at night which is remarkable given this is an airport location. The managers and staff at this property deserve a pat on the back, especially Amanda M. June 28, 2014

The check-in attendant was friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable but it took a little while for it to cool off. The best thing about the place was their customer service. the breakfast person now were outstanding and the service provided by the shuttle service was excellent. June 27, 2014

From the check in experience to the daily breakfast buffet, dinner at the hotel and shuttle service, everyone was kind and caring. We will definitely consider this hotel for any future visits to the Louisville area. The facility is maintained clean, organized and up to date. The washer and dryer are brand new and made me want to purchase the same model for home. The food in the dining room is beautifully presented and delicious. No need to go anywhere else for dinner after a long day at work. The bus into town stops very close and the ride is short and comfortable. June 22, 2014
