Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and clean facility I stayed at this location for 5 days. All the staff was terrific from the time I checked in and was greeted as Priority Gold Elite to the time I checked out. My room was very nice, clean and well stocked, When I noticed I had not booked enough nights John at the front desk helped me get rechecked in and made it easy for me by keeping me in the same room. Breakfast service was made very nice by the attendant and the lead Chef, who greeted me each morning I went in there. They exceeded my expectation by taking their customer service to the personal level, like remembering I take cream in my coffee or I like juice with my breakfast. The heated pool was also a big plus to help relax. The location is wonderful for this Holiday Inn, as well. Easy access to highways and minutes from the airport and many food choices for dining away from the hotel. Thanks guys April 17, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lights out When I entered the room and flipped the light switch nothing happened. I went in and turned on the bathroom light. There are no overhead lights in the room, just lamps. The lamp that should have come on had it's switch completely broken off, so it was useless. Next I tried to turn on the light on the nightstand by the beds. It did not come on. It turned out to be unplugged. So I had to pull the bed away from the wall and replug the lamp. The next morning I left a note for housekeeping about the lamp and informed the front desk. They said they would take care of it. The next night when I got to my room, I flipped the switch and nothing but dark. I turned on the bathroom light and saw the lamp in the same place but disassembled. The next morning I told the front desk again about the problem and was told it would be taken care of. Ok. Night number three same problem. Nothing changed. The next morning I took the disassembled lamp to the front desk and said I was tired of looking at it. I left a note in the room for housekeeping as to the whereabouts of the lamp. I also was out of cups and kleenex, so I set the empty kleenex box on the counter by the sink. That evening upon return there was no lamp, no cups, no kleenex and the empty box was gone. In the morning I left another note for housekeeping asking specifically for these items . Finally on night five, there were cups, kleenex and they simply left the desk light on all day instead of replacing the first lamp. Every time I stay at this hotel and have an issue, I always hear "I will tell so-and-so about it" and that's as far as the solution ever goes. Nobody seems to take responsibility. March 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff! Really enjoyed our stay. The staff upon check-in and check-out was so unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Our room and common areas were all very clean. The beds were comfortable. I believe the hotel was booked the night that we stayed and the night after. Sometimes people get a little stressed out and, let's face it, rude, when they are so busy. That's why I was so struck at the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. We didn't have any complaints whatsoever about anything to do with the hotel, but if we did have any issues, I think I could've gotten over it just with how friendly the staff was! Good job! (Ooh! Also enjoyed the fresh strawberry cookie given to us at check-in.) :) March 28, 2013

When we arrived, they had some problems separating the rooms and ended up placing both rooms on my co-workers Priority Club account. Then, sent an email to me regarding a survey after the fact with my co-workers name on it. If internet is important to you, this place will make you crazy. They consider high-speed as 1mg down. Only good for checking email with no attachments. I will not stay there again. Too many other choices. March 27, 2013

We have a son that goes to Texas Tech and it is a convenient location for us whenever we visit him. Our first time we stayed there Iowa State was in town to play a football game and the team and cheerleaders stayed in the same hotel and it was not an issue-the hotel accommodated all. March 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Surprise So I dreaded knowing I had to go to Lubbock. A small town and I am from a big city. I did not know what to expect. I was greeted at the airport by a pleasant suprise. Their van was waiting and I even got to hear a bit of history of the city. When we pulled up to the hotel - I was nervous I have to admit. But the greeting I got at the desk was amazing. They even upgraded me -just because. I had a suite - it was a pleasant suprise at well. The channels on the tv were great. I had alot of work to do for work. I had plenty of space. I was alos nervous about the food - let me just SAY AMAZING!!! I ordered room service one day and went down the next. The food was SO good. They even called to see how it was and if I needed anything else. The van also took me where I needed to go. But honestly I felt right at home in the hotel. Thank you to a small town from a big city girl and EXTRA thanks to my van driver - I wish I could remeber his name - I feel so bad - BUT HE NEEDS A HUGE RAISE he made it worth the trip. Only one recommendation - the mattress upgraded. That's it. March 13, 2013

House keeping never replenish cups, Don't sweep the room, sometimes they don't pick up litter on the floor. Front desk personnel won't even extend my request for extended stay, even they know I am a platinum member. Called up one day the front desk for an extended stay request,, he insisted they can not do it.,he even hanged up on me. March 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by staff friendly Housekeeping needs some work. The blanket had an old bandaide attached to it so I know the blanklets had not been washed. The bathroom had hairs on the floor and looked like it had not been swept. The internet would not work at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That made it bad needed to do some work and unable to. Toilet had to be worked on but maintenance was good. Glad we didn't have to pay for the food because it was not very good and service bad. Pillows were also bad and had to ask for more. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Matress The room was fine. Service was good too. The matresses on both beds looked badly sunken in on both beds. I picked the better looking one to sleep in. It sank to the foundation when I sat on it. It was way past needing replaced. Sleep was ok, but not the best support. January 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Location I would like to start off by saying this hotel is in an easy location to get to. The problems we had while staying here are as follows. 1. The water pressure and the up and down temperature of the water. 2. The towels had holes in them and needed to be replaced. 3. The resturaunt had a lot ot be desired. The food was ok, but kind of pricey for what you got. Also the wait staff was not very friendly and energetic. Just seemed like they where going through the motions. 4. Noise level was crazy coming from outside my door. Some of these problems had been addressed the month prior and still have issues. I contacted the hotel the day prior to my arriving and I was told by Patrick that all isues had been resolved. The type of buffett I got for breakfast here that cost me $10.75 I could have gotten at another hotel for no charge. If they had made to order eggs of something like that I could see charging for the buffett. January 23, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor experience all around Our experience at this hotel was the worst of any Holiday Inn in my many years of staying at these hotels. The playpen I hand- delivered to the front desk for my injured grandchild was taken up to a room and not left at the front desk for my son to pick up as I requested. In the wee hours of the morning when my son checked in with exhausted wife and kids, after they got up to their room, the key did not work and they had to return to desk. After going back up, they were told that play pen was in the room but battery on lock was out and only maintenance could get in. Maintenance was not there. Next day it was not in the room when my son checked and the play pen could not be found. Second night room had no heat in room so late that evening family had to be moved to a different room. Were told play pen was in lost and found but only housekeeping had key so another night without doctor recommended playpen. Third night playpen was in room but room had very little heat working. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An ok place The hotel is pretty old and just by walking in the rooms and interior are aged also. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Even though you are somewhat close to Texas Tech the outside neighborhood seems a little sketchy, no incidences happen although. The big thing for me was the showers the hot water phases in and out . no matter what time you take a shower. The rooms were nice and clean but you can tell the linen was old and the towels were on their last leg. December 14, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hot water The hot water was not there and we had to take cold showers which wasn't pleasant being that it is December and the weather was cool not really good. I don't know what happened at our stay here this time, but I was really disappointed being that I had booked 3 rooms. All the rooms had the same problem. A couple of the rooms had elderly people in them---so the cold shower or bath that they appempted to take was not good for them. Can you please explain what was to be done about this? The maid service was terrible , my room did not get cleaned I had to call the service desk and was advised it would be cleaned it never was. They came one day and just left towels on the dresser ,bathroom was not cleaned. The next day I call the front desk about the room and advised we did not have clean towel and was advised they had none and had to go and buy some more towel. I have never heard of a hotel running out of towel. I really feel we should have gotten compeervice we received. We did not have menu's and etc in the room . I tried to get room servic from the restaurant THEY NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE. Over all I would give this hotel on a scale 1-10 a 1. November 20, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dated property, poor amenities, bad restaurant The property and rooms are clean but very dated. The pool is tiny and not very clean. Fitness room is also tiny. Restaurant service was extremely poor. I will not stay here again - next time I'll try the Holiday Inn Express down the road November 1, 2012
