Was a good hotel, stayed with the softball all stars teams and was nice that our rooms were indoors where we can keep an eye on all the kids easily. This hotel does need some upgrades in the rooms, such as not all rooms have fridges or microwaves. For the price it should. But you can ask for them. Also if you have some type of allergies, you may have an issue, rooms are older and the inside area has lots of plants.

I've stayed at this hotel at least 12 weeks so far this year, and every time it's been a really good experience. Very friendly staff and the service was great. I would highly recommend staying here.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by norestguest Loud guests with non-responsive night staff.
We stayed at the property for two nights. Let me start by saying that the rooms are very large, beds are comfortable and the lady who was working the front desk in the morning and the lady who ran the dining room were both great (These are the reasons for our decent ratings)
Our first night we were next to a room which had a group of teenagers who banged on the walls, cursed, yelled and came in and out of their rooms. We first called the front desk about the issue at 10pm. They called the room next door and told them to be quiet. This lasted about 20 minutes. We called the front desk two more times until about 2am and they couldn't seem to quiet the teenagers. The noise lasted until about 4am. The next morning we went to the front desk and they said they were aware of the issue from the night log. We asked to be moved for the second night to avoid the same issue. On night two, the same teenagers were playing chase upstairs around midnight. They were sprinting past all the guests rooms and were very loud. I saw numerous other guests open their doors to see what the noise was about. Again, I called the front desk. The guy who answered seemed annoyed that I was calling and again, I don't think much of anything was done to quiet them. Not only that, but they put some poor new guest in our old room next to this loud group, so I can only imagine what their night was like, whether they complained or not. I am stil not sure why those guests were not kicked out of the hotel. Most disruptive quests I've seen in a hotel I was staying at.
The morning of checkout, we spoke to the lady at the front desk. Again, she said she heard about the issues and gave us free breakfast. At that time, we found out from the front desk employee that the manager heard about night one and had already comped that night. This was greatly appreciated, but going back to the poor communication issues, we never once heard from the manager to appolgize. Not a message on our phone in the room, note, or anything. The manager felt our complaint was valid enough to comp our entire first night, but didn't want to take the time to contact the customer? Even the employee at the front desk seemed surprised that we didn't hear from the manager.
So to be fair, if you take the loud guests who ruined our stay out of the equation, the hotel is very nice overall. Great A/C in the rooms, a nice looking indoor pool too, comfy beds, hot water, etc.. I was surprised at the low cost, but my experience proved that I got what I paid for.

Room, property, and parking lot were clean and well maintained. Hotel features huge atrium that is well maintained. Large atrium fountain absorbs noise from pool and gives a little moisture to the otherwise dry air. Despite large pool area in atrium, atrium did not reek of chlorine. Room was quiet, cool and spacious. Breakfast was among the better hotel breakfasts that I've had on the road even though the eggs were a little dry at the end of the service period... but I slept in until the last 15 minutes. Lubbock is such a small city (I mean this as a complement) and has excellent roads and freeways, that location is less than 15 minutes from everywhere... unless you want to walk.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable but pillows were lumpy. Automatic late checkout for all athletes after a triathlon was much appreciated.

I felt welcome here using my points for my stay while competing in the 70.3 Buffalo Springs triathlon. Everything was great. Food at dinner was somewhat questionable but other than that, all was perfect!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wifforlif Best staff and service - EVER
We stayed at the hotel during the Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon. Our original booking was for Friday evening. When we arrived at the hotel, we were given our room quickly. As it was late, we moved our bags into the room and left for dinner. Upon our return, we discovered that the air was not working in the room. We called the front desk to report it. Within 5 minutes, maintenance arrived. They installed a new air conditioner and we had cool air. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. The hotel gave us a discount for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We left Saturday morning for the triathlon. Unfortunately a rain storm moved in and the triathlon was rescheduled for the next day. We called the hotel to see if they might be able to help with extending our stay. The front desk staff informed us that the hotel was booked but asked if I could come in when we arrived back at the hotel. When I went to the front desk an hour later, the staff had a room available for us due to an early departure.
I cannot say enough about the staff at this hotel. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and met our last minute requests. We will definitely stay here again.

Over all the stay was excellent and your staff was GREAT, but the room was hot in the evening. I feel the hallway was not of adequate temperature making the room very uncomfortable until about 300am.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Not worth it.
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. This is the first hotel that I have stayed in that did not offer complimentary breakfast.
The room was hot, do to the a/c unit in a small alcove in the room. The bathroom is extremely small. There is not a small refrigerator nor microwave in the room. The cable channels are very limited.
There in only one elevator on one side of the hotel. Since the 3rd and 2nd floors are split level, the elevator does not accommodate the 2nd floor rooms. This is an inconvenience.
The pool and bar area was extremely muggy/humid/hot, take your pick. And, don't you dare sit in the open bar area unless you plan on buying a drink there, even though it was empty with the exception of our group that was occupying it. Just plain rude.
And, I was not recognized as a Rewards Club Member. It wouldn't have mattered anyway.
Fortunately, I don't have reasons to travel to Lubbock, and if I do, I will NOT be staying at this hotel. And, I will advise my friends who have kids at TTU not to stay at this Holiday Inn.
I read the other reviews before I started writing mine, and I'd rather NOT have an "automated" response from you.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DRCommish Worth The Stay... But Don't Expect A Smile at Check-In
Great Room, Awesome Pool Area, In-House Restaurant that's really trying to be good... but a Lobby Staff that's still working on etiquette, friendliness, and acknowledging the guest.
Vending was "intermittent"... some worked, some didn't, and location is a bit of a challenge to navigate, if your not familiar with how to "Work the Loop".
But a Good Deal, and comfortable... get your "treats" on the outside, and put them in the fridge.

I have stayed in many motel/hotels this year. The experience I received with the check-in staff, restaurant staff, and maid service was the best. I want to comment Raven and the desk manager for their continued service, help, communication, but most of all, their friendliness.
I accompanied a friend of my for his class reunion (he could not drive). With plenty of free time, I was at or near the front desk, the restaurant a lot.
Thanks Lubbock Holiday Inn.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SewingGrandma comfortable bed, not so comfortable pillows
Bathroom needed a good cleaning and tissue dispenser should have been replaced 20 years ago.
I liked the layout and having an actual closet rather than a rod under a shelf.
I also liked our room location. Even though the swimming poot was just outside our door I didn't hear the kids playing and having a good time.
The only other problem was that I have a problem walking and the one elevator was at the opposit end where our room was located, making it seem like a 10 mile walk to get to the meeting room.

Our room was cold on one side and warm on the other because the a/c unit is in an alcove at the back of the room.
Also we only got one channel on the tv - the weather channel. The front desk sent up a repairman who thought he had repaired it. Then we had to go to functions outside the room and did not want someone back in the room when we weren't there and he did not come back while we were there.
Lastly, the maid left a plastic container and a blue sponge on the sink in our bathroom. I just put it under the sink.

the first time we got reservation somehow it came out as a holiday inn express, so I reserved it... best mistake I made... the rooms are huge we have 3 in our family (I have chosen the double and the king interior we have been there a few times) and the place is large its a good place to go for those who love to exercise everyday there is an exercise room to go but you can also walk the inside atrium without actually going outside there is a swimming pool in the middle of the atrium for those who like to swim.
we did not go to the restaurant we ate out breakfast lunch and dinner.
we visit the science spectrum which is just down the street.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rich8212 Comfortable bed and very big room
We enjoyed the hotel and very happy with how the staff treated us. I only wish that our room had a mini fridge and a microwave. We were able to stay because of the great discount we received, but there is no way I would pay full price to stay there. There was a huge stain on the rug near the bathroom and it just isn't worth the price without a fridge and microwave. Other than that the bed was very cozy staff was wonderful and even with our room by the pool it was very quiet.

We usually do not get our rooms cleaned until we are ready to leave; however, there wasn't a door tag to keep house keeping out of our room. As a result, they took all of our towels, which we only had two to begin with, and never brought us more towels.
