We stopped here going and coming from Florida. It's an excellent location to stop. Many services in the immediate area. Love the 24 hr Denny's right off the lobby. This is great for early risers rather than having to wait for a hospitality breakfast area to open up. We were able to get on the road early. Bathrooms could do with a bit of a facelift, but this wouldn't prevent us from staying again. Very quiet facility despite being very close to I-95. Staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming.

Service was okay, walked in to reserved two rooms. Was quoted same price for a Military rate as a regular rate, however online the Military rate was $16 cheaper, which is what I usually get, but not this time. So paid the going rate and no free breakfast, as there was a Dennys on site. So the room should of been a little less than that, considering I now would have to buy breakfast. One of the biggest reasons I stay at a hotel if they offer a free breakfast. Paid the Military rate and got a free breakfast at the hotel I stayed in the day before. So paid the going rate and no free breakfast, not a real deal, will not stay there again in Lumberton. Both were really dusty, carpet looked outdated.

I did not have a reservation which I usually make through Holiday Inn chat however they did have a room place was nice however not as updated as most Holiday Inns,
However i was very disappointed that they would not honer my military discount that I always get through Holiday Inn chat, I was told that their GM would not allow it if I did not have orders? All military past and present should be honored just for them and their families gave up a great deal for this country. One reason I started staying and always using Holiday Inn is because I get that military discount I spend at least 10 days a month in hotels and first I try to find a Holiday Inn. The front desk person was very rude about it too she was training someone and you could even tell that she was uncomfortable with how the lady was to me when I asked,
I did like the 24hr Dennys in the lobby!!!!!!!

To those who travel with Concealed Carry permits..
This hotel has a sign on the main entrance stating that weapons of any kind are prohibited. The sign has a picture of a gun and a knife.
Would have been nice to know this policy before I made my reservation. The front desk staff was unsure if this only applied to the lobby or extended to guest rooms. Other entrances had no signage.
I understand businesses have the right to prohibit and they should retain that right, but this policy should be communicated before a reservation is made.

My stay went well. the room and accommodations suited my needs. the staff at the front desk were quick and friendly in the check in process. The Dennys was a great addition and the food vouture was nice to have. Gina was our hostess, waitress and took our bill at the end of our meal. she was busy wearing multiple hats and did it all with hear and kindness.

The room is fine. There is no coffee or breakfast because of an on site Denny's- Yuck. Had to drive to separate entrance around back to get to room, and by 8am neither of our room keys worked at that entrance. A total pain. Guy at desk acted like perhaps I didn't know how it worked. really? Skip this one- stay in Florence.

A great hotel and has Denny's on its site. Not sure it's overall rate is only 3.7. It is closed to highway but you don't hear much highway noise, plenty of parking spots and friendly staff.

Our room had sustained water damage. The window treatments and outer wall had significant water marks, and I feel that the room should not have been rented.
The heating system was very, very loud and "clang-y."
The breakfast coupon for Denny's was appreciated, but Denney's does not offer too many healthy choices. The service there is slip shod.
We will not return to this property and use the Hampton Inn adjacent instead -- where we don't have to use Denney's.

This was our 2nd over night stay at your hotel. Very convenient off of I-95 with clean & comfortable facilities. Also, love the convenience of all the restaurants. Unfortunately, when my husband went out to pack the car the next morning, he found "sticky string" all over our car plus five cars next to ours too. He notified the front desk & was told the hotel has no security. I think it would be in the best interest of the hotel and its guests to consider some sort of parking lot security.

To begin, this property is a rather older property. However, it is maintained reasonable well. The hotel has a Denny's and nightclub attached to the property. The nightclub was a rather fun way to end a day on the road (nice country folks having fun). I ate at the Denny's in the morning...good food and service.
Checking into the hotel was rather fast and friendly. The hotel was sold out and kept my room for me as promised) The front desk did call me around 11pm to ask if I was still planning on coming; a nice gesture. The rooms are decent, beds are comfortable and bathrooms clean and large. The ac/heat worked properly and kept the room comfortable. Should I need a room in the future in Lumberton I would consider this property for my needs. This property fills the need for a decent place to stay at a decent price. Good service and nice folks working here!

We had a good experience here, but it is getting a little run down. Needs some refurbishing. People were friendly. TV doesn't have many channels to choose from or a guide. For the most part, a good experience!

Another great stay! In the past 8 years I would estimate I have stayed there 150-200 times and I have NEVER had a complaint. It is perfectly located for the North Carolina accounts that I call on, fairly priced and has the genuinely courteous and caring staff.
What more could one ask for?

Mediocre property, not bad if you need a night's sleep on the way to somewhere else wouldn't recommend it for anything else. The Dennys is terrible (they all are). I ordered a bowl of soup which was so over salted it was not edible. I have stayed at this property and several other Holiday Inns and am used to getting a couple of bottles of water, coupons for breakfast etc as a loyalty bonus. Stayed here on both legs of this trip and the first time got a $1 off coupon for Dennys and the second time got the same coupon and a piece of awful chocolate. I don't know if I've been downgraded but really with perks like that don't bother it's insulting. Again, decent bed, quiet and clean is the best I can say.

We found the overall experience with the Lumberton, NC HI Express property acceptable. My wife and I were disappointed in the layout of the bathroom in that there was very limited vanity space in the room. It seems that all the emphasis was on the walk/roll in shower accommodation (certainly a necessity for my medical limitations); however, the overall bathroom area was difficult to use; and, had virtually no usable vanity counter space at all.
This is getting "picky"; however, "real" coffee cups and anything other than the clear plastic and very "not user friendly" drinking cups would have been a nice touch!

Comfortable bed and quiet. Has a Denny's restaurant and with discount coupon from hotel a good deal. Windows are old and hard to see thru, need replaced. Other than that, a nice place to stay.

Alot left to be desired. Room promised was NOT available at check in. Once in room, television was defective and the room ceiling light at the entrance was burned out. The light on the lamp/night stand closest to the radio was also burned out.
The front desk clerk was NOT responsive to my room issues with the offer of me moving to another room that was not to my desire.
Front desk clerk advised me that Maintenance was gone for the day
(3:00 pm) Really ?
There was no offer of a "comp" stay or even a discount.
THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE. No customer service what so ever!!
On top of this, I requested small meeting space to meet with a prospective employee of my company. The meeting room had been booked by another party. However, this party agreed to permit me to meet in this room at since he had already paid for such. The coordinator for this room (Diane) did not like this situation at all but "reluctantly" agreed to it making me well aware that she was doing this as a favor to me and had nothing at all to do with the gentleman whom had already paid for the room and agreed to let me use it on his "nickel". Diane kept reminding me that this was NOT a hotel controlled room and and was under a separate agreement with another managing partner.
Cannot believe the disgusting manner in which I was treated.
I am a "Platinum Plus Priority Club" member with over 300,000 points. At this hotel, I am just just another paying "sucker".

I've had the chance to stay at this hotel multiple times the past few years due to work in the area. I feel that every time I visit I receive different reception. As a Platinum Elite member I stay at a lot of different hotels during my travels and can honestly say that being a platinum member should have it's benefits. I do not feel that it is a value staying at this hotel.
I also have a large issue with being directly billed through my employer. Every time I have a reservation set up for direct bill, I receive problems at the front desk when I check in. This is a big inconvenience when you have been traveling for the majority of the day. Not only do I feel that my first impression on the staff has gone down hill, I usually receive some kind of attitude when checking in.
The only reason I've continued stay at this hotel is due to the locality of my work. I honestly wish their was a Holiday Inn Express or someone else who would accept my business without issues.

I recently stayed for just one night overnight and have only positive things to say. It is very easy to find and is located near restaurants and shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and I appreciated having the refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable and I had no problem getting to sleep. The Denny's served up a great breakfast in the morning and gave me a complimentary coffee to go.

I booked online. Once I arrived in town for a family reunion a family member asked where I was staying. I mentioned the Holiday Inn in Lumberton across from Walmart. They warned me of car break ends. So when I went to check in I mentioned this to the check-in staff and they reassured me that its safe. However past reports of some vandalism in work vehicles.. people leaving tools on trucks. Staff informed me that just to use good judgement about not leaving valueables in plain sight and this is in any area of Robeson County. Staff also advised me where to park in well lighted area. So we had no challenges.. our stay was great and our car was safe the next morning. We ate breakfast in the diner on site,, food and service was great and I would stay here again.

We started by calling this hotel while driving on I-95, speaking with someone at the hotel (not a call center). She helped us with every question, and made my girlfriend comfortable with the credit card process (something she hates to do).
The check-in was effortless, with a friendly front desk person, who answered all of our questions, including the hours and phone number of the Outback Steakhouse next door.
The room was clean, didn't smell and the air conditioning worked well.
The bathroom was very clean, and didn't seem old or out of date.
In the morning, we got breakfast and left thinking that we would stay there again.
