Very helpful and professional staff but hotel is looking tired. Have stayed several times and in each room the shower head has leaked. Bed is quite comfortable but have had better at other Holiday Inns. Also there was a function on and could hear the music in the room.

MANY PEOPLE COMMENTD ON THE FACT IT WAS LIKE A GHOST SHIP WITH STAFF NEVER TO BE SEEN ANYWHERE ! FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME

On 2 occasions I asked for meatballs no CHEESE, both times it was handed to me with cheese..!!!
The second attempt my food was taken away, only to have the same dish returned...!!! And told that the kitchen staff HAVE SCRAPED as much CHEESE off as possible..??? Disgusting...
Then on the morning of breakfast it was cold 7:30..
Last day off checking out the breakfast at 06:45 had a black hair in the beans... Not impressed at all

arrived too late in the day to enjoy the eating, drinking, and sporting facilities but the room was lovely and the hotel staff were all very very polite and because we booked in advance we got the room at a fantastic price.... will definitely stop here again the next time i have an early morning flight from luton

After a long journey we arrived at a busy check-in time which was dealt with efficiently and quickly. There was ample free parking and the location was a little way from the M1 -so was quiet. The blocked sink in the room was sorted out within five minutes. We were able to relax in the clean comfortable room with spotless sheets. A good Restaurant menu was available although we visited our family for dinner. Breakfast was self-service on a weekday and orders were taken for a cooked breakfast on Sunday. Staff were helpful and courteous, checking that breakfast items were being replenished. The breakfast choice was superb, fresh fruit, cheese, cereals, Danish pastries, toast, yoghurts and a full well-cooked English breakfast.
All the staff we met were well-trained and quietly efficient. Altogether it helped us recover and leave refreshed and relaxed. Thank you - we will certainly visit again.

Enjoyed a stay over the Christmas period. Everything about the hotel was an enjoyable experience, with the swimming pool the icing on the cake.
Being close to MI J9 was an added bonus for us

I had a good stay although due to other guests who decided it was best to argue shout and fight all night my sleep was reduced although this was clearly not the fault of the hotel or its staff and I am pleased with the concern shown by the hotel manager
You cannot really knock the hotel when on this stay the issues were caused some of the guests

Having my elderly Mother, with limited mobility stay over for the Christmas period , this Hotel , a stones throw from our home , was perfect for our needs .
Booking direct with the Hotel was straightforward with friendly service . Dominique in Conferencing was extremely helpful and patient with my further calls to make changes to our booking .
The Hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere , felt from the moment of check in . Zoe the reception manager , could not do enough to help .
My Mums pleasant , well equipped ,room suited her nicely .
I joined her for an evening meal on the first night and breakfast the following day . Family members joined us on Christmas Day for Lunch .
All meals were excellent quality and tasty with exemplary customer service .
Friendly Comfortable Hotel , Good Value and exceptional staff . Would not hesitate to recommend .Thank you for looking after us .

Ideally situated, South Luton HI provides good quality accommodation in line with Holiday Inn standards. Things were a little frayed at the edges in terms of availability of menu items, but over Christmas that is to be expected. Our criticisms would be - & Luton South is not alone in this - the appalling ersatz orange juice from the dispenser (so much better when this was provided in "fresh" form from a jug) & the quality of the coffee. Coffee Republic, coffee is usually very good, but there seem to be some genuine problems with the machines &/or blend that is being used. That much was disappointing. On the other hand, room cleaning over the Christmas period was superb.
The other disappointment appears not to be the fault of the hotel itself. When I asked about the voucher for extra points (awarded as a Platinum IHG Rewards member) I was told that the hotel cannot obtain sufficient vouchers to cover what they issue & delivery "some time in the new year" is awaited. This & the variability of the IHG booking site when it comes to being able to book breakfast with the room needs to be sorted out. There is the impression that customers who stay frequently at IHG hotels are being taken for granted.

Hi I stayed at the hotel which was all great but I am still waiting for a refund for some chips that I ordered that never turned up. Please refund my chip money Holiday Inn. Apart from that a good stay with friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Everything was as expected of the IHG group - excellent staff & stay. Even got a 300 points bonus on my Rewards Card so that made it even better (could've chosen the free drink from the bar but preferred the points)!
The only downside was the noise from the motorway - my room was on the 'wrong' side, I would say and even with the windows closed, there was a fair amount of noise! Close to Luton Airport as well, so good news for me as I was travelling abroad from there the next day.
Overall, a great value stay - I'd recommend it (but get a room away from the motorway side).

Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. We decided to treat ourselves to breakfast only to find it cost £13.95 per person! If it were a wonderful, all you could ask for breakfast I wouldn't have minded but this was average at best.

we stayed here in the middle of november, we stayed in the hotel for the area as we were going to warner bros studio, he hotel was prefect for us, the prices were great and the room was lovely nice and cozy :) would recommend :) x

Can not find fault with our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful made our stay better. Food was perfect for our evening meal and breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Had visited whipsnade during the day as my birthday treat arrived cold, tired and hungry and left very happy. Thank you so much will not be our last visit. Sadly did not visit all the facilities but will next time!

Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean hotel throughout. Pillows were a bit soft for me but did not cause too much of a problem. I was in room the next day up until 12 and staff happy to give me more tea and coffee etc so that I could make hot drinks. Very handy for M1. Would stay again.

Firstly can I say that the staff were lovely and friendly.
The food in the restaurant was very mixed. The fixed price 2course meal with wine with great value for money, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the main menu. The 'big plates' choices were definitely big plates - but minute meals.
We stayed for 2nights, and I was glad to get home to my own bed to allow me to sleep. We were on the ground floor.
The bed was very uncomfortable, and we could hear every sound from neighbouring rooms, the corridor and outside.
We were attending a conference, and the service offered to the conference was great, though timing of coffee was a little out at breaks.

Excellent weekend. The hotel was a welcome retreat, where we were able to relax and recharge our batteries. Staff were exceptional. Zoe and Sarah on reception, Eva and Jenny in the dining room and Simon the singing chef, a great team. Loved the pool and spa facilities.

Me and my husband stayed here on 3rd November, and I have to say it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were so friendly especially Martine on reception who upgraded our room to a king size as we had the same name! Rooms were very clean and the bed was soooo soft. We will be coming back again in December.

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed both of them. Room was very nice and heavy curtains to keep it dark. Had bar meals both evenings which were tasty to say the least. Breakfast was excellent and very hot. Staff were all polite and helpful.

Very slow service as apparently only one chef on duty, food was average when it arrived. Diners at adjacent tables were complaining about delay.
Following day ordered soup and sandwiches for three persons at approx. 13.45 hours. Complained to duty manager after waiting 30 mins without food. Was told by staff that there was no chef on duty......they were all at a meeting! Food eventually arrived and was not charged for this but delayed our onward journey.
All face to face staff were very good and helpful.
