Really hope they get more comfortable beds and most important, ditch the minature pillows for regular sized ones. December 16, 2014

We elected to stay at the Holiday Inn Hotel in downtown Lynchburg. We were very pleased with our decision because of the appearance of the hotel both outside and in, The warm and professional disposition of the staff. The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable. Dinning and food service and food quality was excellent ! Hats Off ! to the Management and Staff at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Lynchburg. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room and Good Location We have a few surprises for this stay. I didn't find out until I was driving out of the attached covered garage that it was $4 per day. Not a big deal but I don't like being surprised. No mention on the web site and no mention when we checked in 6 days earlier. One day when we returned, we found the AC on max cold. This was the end of November and outside temperatures were in the high 30s. I also like to have a breakfast included with the price of the room. There was a restaurant on site but the menu appeared pricey so we did not eat there. We have stayed in Lynchburg many times over the past 4 years that our daughter was there in college but I never stayed down town. Now that she lives near the city and we were visiting, this hotel's location was the main reason that we selected it. Overall, it has good value and was a nice place. I do see that we will be staying here again in the future. December 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We've watched this hotel since its infancy. First stayed there 3 days after opening in 1984. Used the hotel to lodge business visitors for the next eight years. After we moved, our daughters went to boarding school in Lynchburg, so we stayed when we visited. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were WONDERFUL! Bright, polite, obliging, efficient. Housekeeping staff could not adjust to our schedule. I had meetings every night except 1, so we slept late. If the housekeeper could not make up our room in the morning, then it was not made up. I was embarrassed to have to call for fresh bath towels so often. All in all, I recommend this hotel highly -- lots of parking, quiet, great location, and we could hear trains in the distance. (We live on an island -- no trains -- we miss them!) November 27, 2014
