And to top it off we had a very nice fresh cooked breakfast with still more wonderful service - thank you Laswana! Room was clean, comfortable and a nice size. Very good sleep. Right downtown and the in house bar/restaurant was very nice. Thank you guys - someone down there knows customer service - a very nice thing to see! November 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gunuine value for the money I spent 5 weeks at this hotel and my coworkers kept telling me to change it because of the neighborhood. I didn't see a problem with the area, I was enjoying the fact I was close to the downtown area. The building is aged as one can expect but the inside is nicely up to date. The rooms are more than adequate with a small fridge and a microwave. I have trouble sleeping to begin with but at least the bed and pillows are comfy, Not heavenly but very good to assist even the toughest insomniac get some sleep. The staff is genuinely friendly and if YOU take the time to chat with them you will find they are more than willing to engage in conversation with you that is more than just Hi how are you. The restaurant and bar are very good, I chose to eat in more often than not. The Menu is short but the food is good, could use a little more spice and flavoring on certain dishes but that is a personal issue. The variety of drinks available rivals the hottest bars around and the staff knows how to make all of them, especially Angie she will make sure your drink is right! Elvis is alive and well here as he greets each and every guest with an enthusiastic 'Morning how was your rest? and he wants to know so don't sugar coat it. The manager Tony is to be commended as he is also personable and engaging, I often saw him personally taking care of customers and assisting with the cleaning in the restaurant. You can stay at Much Fancier Hotels but you wont get the hospitality that the staff at Lynchburg is waiting to give out! Well Done friends November 11, 2015
