Everytime we visit relatives in the Lynchburg area we stay at the Holiday Inn on Main St. The hotel has had a major renovation since our last stay. The decor and relaxing tone was evident as soon as we entered the lobby. From the front desk staff , restaurant staff to the room attendants everyone was couteous and gracious.
We've stayed at many hotels that claim to be "First Class", but The Holiday Inn in downtown Lynchburg has them beat. If you're like us and want clean, exceptional rooms choose this hotel the next time you're in town. Oh and the area is also going through a change. Becoming a true historic area!

Nice central location which was perfect for our stay. Front desk staff were excellent! There were a few issues with the shower curtain, the humidity in the room and the printer at the business center, but overall, our experience was very positive.

Overall, this hotel has it all for a pretty reasonable rate. Downtown but parking was easy and free and pretty clean in the room and lobby.

I was the host for the Little Big Horn Associates conference at the Lynchburg Holiday Inn, June 10 – 13, 2015. The Holiday Inn was absolutely the best hotel I’ve ever visited in the United States. I worked with the Director of Sales for over a year planning our event and she was always available when I needed an answer or advice on the planning. Kimberly provided everything we needed, personally taking care of special requests and making sure every need was met. Kimberly is a great asset to the hotel.
I was amazed at how friendly, helpful, and efficient the entire hotel staff is. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the cleaning ladies pleasantly greeted me every time I walked down the hall and asked if I needed anything. Other members of our conference also mentioned this to me as well. The catering staff was awesome, too. The individual who did the table set up for our events was absolutely indispensable, making sure everything was set exactly as we wanted. One of our vendors and well known western artist, Jerry Thomas, had special requirements for his display setup and he stated that he was extremely happy with all the help he received. The front desk staff was a joy to interact with, always taking care of any and all requests.
The rooms and facilities were top notch. I wish I had the bed and pillows in my own house.
If anyone asks me for a suggestion for a conference hotel my number one, first suggestion will be the Lynchburg Holiday Inn. Absolutely no complaints! It was a perfect stay.

Bad experience with this hotel. We tried the restaurant there and we also attended a banquet there. I believe this is the worst hotel food I've ever had, cold and flavorless. No one at the banquet ate more than a few bites. All the plates were returned to the kitchen almost full. Not one person asked us if it was good. Not one person asked if anything was wrong. They obviously don't care.
I called the front desk about a lost item and was transferred to Lost and Found. I got a voice mail at 3 in the afternoon, left a message, and never got a call back.
The bathroom was cleaned daily but no dusting or vacuuming ever took place. We had to wait for fresh towels until after 3 pm. Coffee for coffeemaker never replaced, cups never replaced. Lousy place.
