Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room is old and smelly Upon entry to my room, I was shocked as the interior of the room looks so old and has a foul smell. The lobby is renovated and well furnished but not at all for the guest rooms. There is stains on the bathroom floor as well as the bathtub. Overall, it feels dirty. Transportation to hotel is not very convenient, there is a shuttle service from the ferry terminal but the frequency is very long. I would not recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway, especially if you intend to stay more than a night. August 11, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not an international Hotel, Needs renovation 1. No toliet jets/ Mugs - Inconvenient for most of asians. 2. Dirty floors of toilets - old tiles make them dirty feeling. 3. No veg food available at hotel restaurents - Indians be alert before booking. 4. Restaurent staff does not understand english. 5. Limited access to wifi - only for IHG member in one gadget only. 6. Hotel did not mention they have shuttle to Macau Ferry Port in the mail send after booking. Struglled to reach hotel becuase most of the taxi drivers don't know where it is. August 3, 2014

Check in was fast , staff very helpful and accomodating. The housekeeping staff too showed good service and has a warm smile even if we speak different languages. As the check in was fast, so was the check . the beds are a great bonus after hours of roaming around macau. The tired traveller will find this a great refuge July 28, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended for the visitors who want to explore Macau We came from Hk airport to taipai ferry terminal, so had difficulty in reaching hotel, as the shuttle run from Hotel to Macau ferry terminal. And at Macau terminal also no sign board of Holiday Inn, the mini bus stand in the middle of the terminal so you have search for it. But the Hotel is very close to Macau ferry terminal (5-10min away). Hotel surrounding is quite ok but well connected with prominent sight seeing places, and most of them are walkable. Hotel staffs are sweet and helpful some are fluent in English. Room was small but clean. Breakfast was Ok nothing special. June 22, 2014

Holiday Inn Macau is situated conveniently away from the main road but convenient to get a taxi or walk to the nearest bus-stop on the main road. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 地理位置是最大的优势 酒店虽然和金沙的holiday比有点旧,但是地理位置不错,可以步行到大三巴,酒店也有去港澳码头的免费班车。 不足的地方是设施吧,主要就是旧了,尤其毛巾一看就是用了很久的。而且这次酒店网络升级,虽然提供了wifi,但是信号很差速度也很慢,而且同时只能一个设备连上去。 这次房间是升级了,但是没有迎宾水果和每天的报纸。 May 5, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Oasis in middle of town It was my third stay at this hotel in Macau. Service was at the usual Holiday Inn quality but with some set backs. No greeting was heard at check-in counter about my Membership. I was a guest for two nights and asked for card for Wi-Fi connection, every time I asked front office was not ready with the card. I was asked to come back later to pick up. Staff said it was at their first floor office and they had to go and fetch. Why are these cards not ready at the front office. I believe your breakfast has made improvement from my last stay. April 7, 2014

Needed to do some work right away before heading out to enjoy Macau, but I had forgot my plug adaptor for my PC - no problem, this was a refurbished room with multi-plug adaptation built in. Staff also brought my free WiFi details within seconds of getting into the room, so I could get down to work right away. Despite being a weekend, the breakfast room was quiet and relaxing, and nice to sit by the window overlooking the shopping alleyway outside. I have stayed at some of the bigger and newer casino-oriented hotels in Macau, but I found them all to be cold and unfriendly. Holiday Inn was both friendly and warm enough to feel at home, and get to know the reception staff, barman, breakfast staff etc. Thank you fro a great stay, and I look forward to returning. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Experience at Holiday Inn Macau I couldn't wait to write this review for the service I experienced in this hotel. It was a finger cross decision anyways but I would probably say no if I know I was upgraded to the floor which is just one floor above the floor that is under renovation right now. The noise and the smell were bad and the staff should know that before upgrading customers there. This is the Platinum Elite customer like me to take the challenge for those noise and smell this time. I was like a beggar on phone for refill of fruit as a platinum member and the hotel staff told me the fruit was for welcome purpose at the check-in however my fruit got refilled elsewhere in other IHG hotels outlet in China. I never expected places like Macau would treat customers worse than that one in China. That's terrible. I stayed for two nights and I was with free wi-fi service. However the wi-fi card was for 24 hours usage and the hotel wasn't automatic and the customer needs to ask for a new wi-fi card at night. Should they just have a new wi-fi card when they were having cleaning up for the room? The guy was rude when he's delivering more towels and shower gels to me and he's without a sorry when the pen was scratched on my hand with ink. That's horrible.... Of course this hotel saved the worst for the last. I checked out at about 10:30am and was asking the front desk lady to reserve two seats to the Macau Pier Terminal at 14:30pm. She told me the reservation wouldn't be available and it would be based on first-come-first-serve! What a joke to me as I already tried to reserve two spots and she should give it to me if it's based on first-come-first-serve. Totally disaster for this hotel and they never care about their customers. (I don't want to go to few more details because my comments are already too long!) March 30, 2014
