Great food, hoping chef Alex adds cheesecake to the menu in 2015. Casey, Amanda, Melissa, Amber, Tom, Matt, Brandon all do a great job and are such nice people. December 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but confused! Our stay was, in general, pleasant. The staff was courteous, the hotel clean, and the location accessible. Our only complaint was the two policies for "Quiet Time" at the hotel. When we checked in, we were told Quiet Time started at 10:00 and would be strictly enforced. No problem, as we are generally in bed and ready for sleep by 10:00. When we turned in for the night, we heard music, loud music from the floor below ours. We were on the second floor. We didn't think too much about because it was before 10:00. As 10:00 came and went, the music did not stop. At 10:15, I telephoned the front desk to ask if the music could be turned down. I was told that the music was for a holiday celebration in a conference room and would continue until 12:00 AM. What? What about the quiet time policy of 10:00? I was told that it did not apply to this particular holiday party. How disappointed we were. Why place quest rooms directly above a conference room that may host loud parties well into the night? Makes no sense and was a let down to a very pleasant experience otherwise. December 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Stay Before and During Conference I stayed at the Holiday Inn Madison At The American Center and it was just what I needed. We were greatly warming when we checked in and our room was spacious and clean. We worked out twice in the fitness center. The equipment was top of the line and there were many options to choose from for your workout. Loved the basketball hoops in the pool. The best part was the food and the service from the hotel restaurant. It was the best meal I had out in a while. I would recommend anyone visiting the Madison area to stay at this location. Checked in late at night and asked for two things : #1 to have hotel reservation split up for reflect respective Priority Club occupants #2 We asked for wake up call @ 6:45 Am to finish trip. #1 Hotel bill came through without being split as requested. I have taken much time to make numerous calls to correct the billing & Priority Club credit. There is a new person who is trying to help now but should not have happened in the first place. #2 Woke up the next morning on our own - NO WAKE UP CALL! MISSED OUT TIMING ON TRIP! Hotel had welcoming lobby, room was nice and had nice breakfast in morning. Too bad the hotel clerk checking us in on the night of Nov 20th was not awake when checking us in. HE needs a wake up call November 25, 2014
