Good situation next to the Metro station.
Good beds, but very noisy rooms. You hear everything : the neighbours and the people making noise in the corridor.

This hotel is adjacent to a metro station, is convenient to visit Madrid. Breakfast selection is as expected.
Since the car park is means for hotel guests only should be provided free of charge.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BermudaChowder Best place to stay in Madrid
The hotel is central to many attractions such as the Royal Palace and the Prado Museum. It's a two minute walk from the best city park in the world: Parque Arganzuela. A perfect place to walk run and exercise.
The hotel breakfast was decent. The restaurants to eat around the hotel are phenomenal.
All in all if you are going to Madrid and are looking for the best place to stay for a great price the Holiday Inn Piramides is a must try.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Theresa29 City break
An excellent location for a city break, although next door to a metro and local train station, it was a quiet and relaxing. The transport links are excellent, several good restaurants within 100 metres, lunch menus particularly good value

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Anset Good location and fair price, but old rooms
The hotel is out of the city centre, but just on top of the metro, you can reach the city centre in minutes.
Hotel is quite fine, staff are kind and helpful, but the room really need a renovation.
The hotel does not have a proprietary internet line and connectio n but relies on a commercial wi fi sercive, and it does not work very well at all. Bandwidth is VERY limited.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 birthday break
Just had a fabulous few days in madrid staying at the Piramides Holiday Inn. Very easy to find location as the renfe train line from the airport stops right outside there is also a metro here. A few minutes walk from Atocha station perhaps only to be attempted with hand luggage. The staff were all very helpful, breakfast was adequate. Room facilities good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MandStravellers A great place to stay
This hotel is perfectly positioned.
RENFE goes straight from airport to Piramides station which is literally in front of the hotel and was 2.50 euro each. (As of Sept 2013) There is an office along the corridor end on the right where you buy tickets just before going down the escalators to the platform, try to have smaller money than 50 euro like us, the ticket seller was slightly not amused. The Renfe platform is the 2nd one along, the 1st is the metro, just ask.
Metro and buses right there in front of hotel.
The bus was easy to use 1.50 euro per ticket, pay the driver. The driver will let you know where your stop is if you need help.
We walked into the city and sights.
Supermarkets 10 minute walk.
Lots of Cafes/restaurants nearby.
A hop on hop off bus stop is at Toledo square, about 15 minutes walk.
The hotel rooms are typical Holiday Inn. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was really quiet. The bar area and reception comfortable.
We only had one breakfast on a Saturday...2 for 1 deals on weekends. Quite good breakfast.
We would stay there again if we are back in Madrid.
Only downside....the hotel wifi prevented emails being sent or received from our iPad. We found an alternative free wifi at Toledo square so were able to email from there.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thelma109 easy access to everything
First time to Spain. We are two mature couples. We stayed two nights. Our experience was overall wonderful. The hotel is well kept and staff were very helpful. Our room was a bit warm as the air conditioning was weak. This was not the case for the other couple. Besides that issue. this hotel was reasonably priced with a great location. I would go back without hesitation.

Good average hotel. Price OK. If you happen to be traveling with a handicap individual the metro in front of the hotel has an elevator and gets you to the metro and commuter rail system. The number five line gets you to HC accessible stations down town. Bus stop - at the hotel has several HC friendly lines going to down town tourist sites. Rooms are not accessible by us standards but close.

Nicely located good Holiday Inn atmosphere. This is one of those good finds when you travel. Should I go back to Spain, I will certainly look up the Holiday Inn brand.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by scottinthesky Great comfortable room, poor service, no IHG Rewards recognition
Room was excellent - very clean and the bed was like a dream! Nice spacious bathroom as well.
Check-in experience was very poor - I waited for 20 minutes while the sole member of staff checked in two girls for a flight the next day - including discussion about their baggage allowance and pre-paid seating. No acknowledgement or apology received.
This hotel also does not recognise IHG Rewards status - wifi is expensive and no recognition at check-in.
If you want a budget, low-facility stay for a simple night's sleep then go for this property - if you need frills and service it is best avoided.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by uhim Comfortable room, and good service
Well positioned close to downtown and beside metro entrance, make an easy way to reach all destination in Madrid.
Good price for the offer. Comfortable and clean room. People from reception and bar were nice and friendly.
Not a minus, but maybe even if charge few extra bucks, could include breakfast like majority of Holiday Inn hotels.
Will recommend the hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by David1988 Great Hotel
This Hotel is conveniently located, with an underground station literally right out side the hotel door. The room was clean and breakfast was great.
Only down side is that there is no free internet in the hotel. I do not understand why hotels do not just charge an extra 5 euros a night for each room and provide free internet? I do not like to pay for internet by the hour or day, when I can go down the street to any cafe and get free internet. It just comes across as being cheap to nickle and dime customers for Internet access. Whats the point of being a awards member if you have to pay for everything?

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ArLa Nice Holiday Inn and a great place if you like to run
Nice and easy Holiday Inn, convenient located next to a Metro and Renfe station. Major attractions of the city are just a couple of Metro stations away and easy to reach.
If you travel on business and like to have a run in the morning or evening the location is brilliant. The park down at the river is just a few steps away and invites for a run at any time of day - early morning till late at night.
I normally stay at the HI when in Madrid.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trilogy06 Wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Piramides
We had a wonderful experience at HI Piramides! The hotel is right there when we exited the Train/Metro station. Nieves at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. We got a very good airlines staff discount rate. There were so many Americans staying at this hotel and I could see why. We stayed for 2 nights there before going on a 4-day tour of Spain. I made a reservation for 3 more night after the tour but canceled it as we decided to go home earlier than planned. I would recommend this hotel to any body.

This hotel is clean and comfortable.
The choice you have of pillows is excellent ... making it a nice peaceful sleep.
No noise despite having a big major city road outside.
Literally next door to the metro making it really easy to get into the city. Regular trains
Good price .... most city hotels are very expensive ... this hotel was very reasonable.
Good experience all round .... nice friendly staff, easy parking facilities.
In general a great hotel to stay at.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy2Wander Good location and well appointed.
The Holiday Inn was well placed for the excellent Madrid public transport. The Metro and Cercanias train station was but a few paces from the hotel entrance. This meant the city centre and all the main attractions were in easy reach.
Hotel itself is staffed with welcoming and helpful employees who are keen to make your stay enjoyable.
Rooms are well appointed and clean with comfortable beds. No problems with noise ensuring a good nights sleep.
Breakfast is in a pleasant 1st floor dining area and offers a good selection of hot and cold food and fruits which are continuously replenished.

I booked 8 rooms and 1 conference room. Facilities are clean, and comfortable. Service mindness is low. Personnel could have been more thoughtful of the people in the conference room. The conference room with poor facilities and servde with coffee and water was extremely overpriced.
Otherwise the hotel in my opinion can be raknked one of the the best in its category.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by styloo Shame about breakfast
Sorry to say anything bad about the place - great location, OK staff at Reception (no concierge so tourist information is scanty) but the hardest working bar / restaurant staff I've ever met.
We went over Pentecost so the hotel was manic with 1st communion lunches / dinners but still looked after us very well at dinner & the bar whilst dealing with all the private parties.
Location is great, 10-15 min walk to centre of Madrid; 2-3 minutes to riverside walks; airport 30mins away by direct train.
Excellent room with tea & coffee, traffic noise an irritant but not a disaster.
But the breakfast! Buffet average but poor that water to make tea was tepid - alternative was lukewarm stewed coffee. This really let everything else down and we ended up going to local cafe for good coffee & croissants. Cost you 5 stars!

Third time I have been here. Very comfortabe. Extremely convenient to public transportation. Metro and Cercanias trains are right outside the door. Half hour ride to the airport for 2.50 Euros. Only a few stops away from Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. Reasonable room rates. Nice quiet residential neighborhood. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Friendly hotel staff. Able to practice my Spanish with them.

The hotel is is a short walk from the city centre and there is a metro station just outside.

Breakfast was good value and a varied choice of hot and cold food.
When we return to Madrid we will certainly use this hotel again.

This hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood great for a relaxing stay, but with excellent transport links it is convenient for the airport and the citycentre. A good breakfast was provided at reasonable cost and staff were friendly and helpful. I loved Madrid and will revisit the city and hotel, I will also highly recommend the hotel.

As always, The stay at Holiday Inn was great, the location of the hotel is quiet yet close to train and metro stations so I was able to go and visit Madrid easily. My room had a wonderful view.
Unfortunately the room was too warm and there is no air conditioning available.

We spent 5 days and really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Poeple are really nice, hotel is clean and breakfast is fine.
Service and people working there are top class. Hotel is next to subway station and only 5 stations from city center, so quick and very convenient !
If we come back, I'll book in same hotel.
I did my reservation via priority club service. I really appreciate, advise and efficientcy of people on the phone.
