Stayed at holiday in maidenhead whilst we were visiting windsor and legoland.
Upon arrival it looks like a block of offices but as you turn the corner you see the large foyer at the side.
Had a family suite, great room with lots of space, only downside was the large free standing light didnt stay on and there was a smell in the bathroom when using the sink.
Food was good and decent breakfast.
Swimming pool was fab along with fitness facilities, would definately stay here again xxx

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jmdp Tiny rooms
The common areas are okay at this hotel, the gym and swimming pool are good, but the rooms are tiny and not that well maintained. The room didn't feel big enough for two people, especially to get ready for a wedding in. The hotel was very busy and as a result there were big queues for the reception desk and we were ignored at breakfast. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

We booked this as part of a legoland holiday and picked the holiday inn because we know they have very good standards. We weren't, disappointed.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and our 7 year old nephew was catered for with a play area and ' kids eat free' offer if we dined in the restaurant. We were very happy with the meals in the restaurant, we already knew that the breakfasts were good..
A very successful stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Janester Top marks for location, rooms, staff and facilities!
We love this hotel! We stayed recently for 4 nights (DB&B) with our 4 year old and 11 month old. The staff couldn’t be more helpful (the manager even helped with feeding our baby who is a very poor eater) and the rooms are bright and clean with all the amenities you need. This includes air conditioning which was greatly appreciated. The swimming pool and fitness room is fab (as are the health club staff, so friendly and helpful). Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice (our son loved the pancake machine!) and dinner was delicious. We were especially fond of the kiddy play area beside the lounge which meant that we could enjoy dinner while the children played – genius idea! The location is excellent for Legoland and it’s just a 10 minute walk to the train station if you want a trip to London. We had booked another well-known hotel near Windsor for the remaining 3 nights of our holiday. We paid much more for it but were disappointed to find that the rooms were quite dark and had no air conditioning. We didn’t want to finish our holiday on a negative note so we booked an additional night back at the Holiday Inn! I think that says it all. We’ll be back!

having stayed two nights with our grandchildren for legoland trip we found the room very nice, with two double beds and plenty of space! food prices are on the expensive side, and unfortunately our grandson has a peanut allergy which proved to be a problem on our first night as the cooking staff were relief and would not take responsibility for any possibility of contanimation. I have to say our waitress (sorry i should have taken her name) was so helpful in order to ensure he could have something to eat and made numerous trips to the kitchen to fnd something they would cook for him eventualy. no probs at all the next day with the normal kitchen staff and he made up for it with the breakfast!!! All in all a good experience and the added extra of the swimming pool made it even more enjoyable for the children.

Stayed here with my 7 year old son. The whole process from start to finish was easy. Please don't be put off from the hotel exterior, it's very dated. The interior was far better than I expected from a Holiday Inn, check in was quick and simple. The bar area was spacious and restaurant was spot on - kids eat free, there's a self serve buffet for the kids and they can eat as much as they like (a very good selection of hot food with dessert). Breakfast was superb with a pancake machine - my son was delighted!! Staff were friendly and pleasant. My only gripe was that I booked five months in advance and my sister booked one month in advance and paid £40 less than me, I didn't complain because I figured you book late and take your chance!
Overall a lovely stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend - and I'm very, very fussy!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TC001 Excellent Staff
I stayed here with my six-year old son for two nights whilst visiting LEGOLAND.
The room was clean and comfortable, although not very big, and the A/C worked efficiently - and not too noisy - a rarity indeed!
The staff were excellent (not something I usually say) friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble.
Whilst being very child-friendly it certainly wasn't overrun by over excited children and their errant parents (something which I have encountered at other hotels aiming at the LEGOLAND market).
The only disappointment of the stay was the restaurant, not because of poor food or service; but because it resembled a cafeteria! The children's buffet was a real hit with my son and it wasn't the usual mêlée encountered at free buffets.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for leisure or business, and will certainly stay here again on my next visit to LEGOLAND.

First time at Holiday Inn, and the crucial point for Mrs. M was the clean room. Perfect start! In addition, the room was quiet, the service was efficient and the general air was relaxing. So, well done. Pity about the bar prices, though!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Macksparky Very Good BUT breakfast can be a chore !
Stayed twice for several days. Had to ask 3 times+ for coffee at breakfast before it arrived taking +30 mins. The meal was finished at that point. This is a common theme and occurred on several days both in May and July when I stayed. I suggest self-service on the Coffee using coffee pump-flasks. Staff seem over-pressed at breakfast. When I'm rushing out to work this is very irritating.

Excellent value and can highly recommend. We stayed for a visit to legoland and found it to be clean, tidy and really good value. The food and service was great along with a rally good choice for both adults and children.
Would have to hesitation to recommend to other families

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pigeonpie You get what you pay for
I stayed with my husband for two nights as we were at a wedding nearby. We were told on check in that we could book breakfast in the restaurant for £9.50 or pay on the day for £14.50 which we thought was very steep for a breakfast . When we located the bar area we noted that you could order breakfast rolls for between £4- £6. Much more reasonably priced however quality was lacking. The egg and mushroom muffin was very disappointing. There were two mushrooms, the egg was plastic tasting and the muffin was very thin.
The hotel room needed refurbishment. The furniture was scratched and old. The most frustrating thing about the room were the lights. The switches did not seem to work the bedside lights. It was either all or nothing. The air-conditioning (which was badly needed when we stayed) switched itself off in the middle of the night and then needed rebooting.
If you need a cheap place to stay this meets the criteria but don't expect luxury think cheap resort in Tenerife.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lou35 Great children's facilities and comfortable rooms
Stayed with family after a trip to Legoland. We have stayed at a few Holiday Inns and this is in our top 3. One big advantage for us was the dedicated playroom - our 4 year old daughter loved it and couldn't wait to go in there at every opportunity! The rooms are comfortable - not the biggest we have stayed in but nice all the same. One thing I did notice was how quiet it was at night, plus the bed was more comfortable than at other HIs we have stayed at.
We also opted for a bar meal in the evening and breakfast in the restaurant the following morning. Both meals were very nice with efficient service. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We were using hotel as a base for visiting Legoland. From the moment we arrived the hotel was great and the service fantastic. From the moment we checked and and sat down with a complimentary drink my wife said she'd never felt so relaxed for months.
Also big thank you for room upgrade. Didn't expect it using reward points, but really added something special to a great weekend away

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by smillyj Very child friendly hotel which made for a fun family stay.
We spent two nights at this hotel on a trip to windsor and legoland. The children age 5 and 8 were made to feel very special. They particularly enjoyed splash hour in the hotel pool with inflatables to play with and the dollars to spend at the bar on a small drink. Oh, and the pancake making machine at breakfast!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Big thanks to James in the dining room and the chef for the recipe he wrote out for our 8 year old son/ budding chef! There was some noise from guests leaving other functions at the hotel but we had a lovely time.

Good food but wished they didn't add the "discretionary" 10% service charge to the bill.

We use HI properties all over the UK because of consistency. This property was clearly outdated and was overpriced as a result. I have some mobility issues but never considered that I would have to check the spec of the hotel before booking. The site was convoluted, with the car park being unsuitably positioned for the hotel. Furthermore, access to our room was difficult due to having to negotiate a long flight of stairs with no lift. Yes, I should have checked before booking, but we have never had such problems before. We have relatives nearby who we were visiting, hence the overnight stay. We will not use this hotel again. We will use HI properties, but this has left a bitter taste. These are basic requirements that we should be able to take for granted.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Burger Good one-night stay, thank you
We stayed one Saturday night. Check-in was smooth and efficient, room clean and comfortable. Good bar which stayed open late (no disturbance to other guests), staff were consistently pleasant and competent. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety.
Only comment is that there were LOTS of kids on the Sunday morning. That's not a bad thing, and I don't know if it's normal but I was surprised.
We walked from here to Maidenhead station in under 15mins- an easy walk.
Overall a good stay, thank you!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AndrewP1066 Poor customer service
After checking out, I called back in the early evening to retrieve an item that I had inadvertently left in my room. Reception was helpful but housekeeping declined to open up 'lost property', the duty manager declined to help or take responsibility. Poor service from a pricey Holiday Inn.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fidgit Children friendly hotel
We stayed at The Holiday Inn Maiden for 2 nights as we were visiting Legoland. We chose this hotel, as we have stayed previously in April 2011 and found it very child friendly and comfortable. Staff were very helpful, rooms were spacious and the leisure facilities were spot on. The children loved the pool and I enjoyed a little bit of pampering in the beauty room.
Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and mum and dad even had chance to relax.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Debbee64 Comfy room, poor amenities
My standard room was clean and comfortable enough but needs updating as it looks like an upmarket cheaper hotel complex. Glad I had a concessionary rate. Arrived a day earlier than our conference so that we could relax and decided to to go for a swim before dinner, but found the pool was closed for a class. There were no signs advising this and we felt there should have been one outside the pool entrance.
Facilities for the conference were adequate but the toilets are still in a poor state of repair with broken door locks and no soap in one of the dispensers. The locks were the same this time last year.
The food quality for the conference was very good but we wish they would put the sauces/pickles seperate for the sandwiches as these are not to everyone's taste and caused more waste than necessary.
We also ran out of hot water for beverages on several occasions and had to wait for a refil.
The reception staff were excellent though. Very welcoming and polite.
