Pillows and towels need to be replaced. I am a Priority club member and never mentioned a welcome at the moment of check in

the table lamp does not have a OFF/ON switch. It had to be be plugged and unplugged to the power outlet directly below the table.
The toilet is detached from the floor. needs to be fixed by a plumber.
there was a volley ball group staying on the same floor and were partying all night long with too much sound noise and yelling

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SisterT06 Excellent service and Excellent Food
I have stayed at this hotel on 4 different occasions and have found that the courtesy of the staff, the price and the services are far better than most hotels. I have booked a family dinner and my sister held her birthday celebration at this Hotel and I can tell you that both events were handled very professionally, the food was excellent and the service provided by the staff tremendous, they were attentive to my guest's needs. I highly recommend this Hotel for any occasion and any event. If I were to list one negative, it would be that the carpet in the rooms could be cleaner.

Since my prior visit to this property Dec 2012
Amazing cuisine, value for price paid is great
However Service in restaurant is slow, simple tea service ruined for guest who ordered it
Not all, but some servers have Bad dining room habits, face touches, hair stroking and forehead wiping in the dining room in plain sight. Evidence of poor service techniques, Claw method for clearing and setting of glass ware and coffee cups, silverware handling with bare hands and clinging, is a common occurrence.
Perhaps the weakest part of the property (Main Dining Room)
I personally received average to good service because I demand it, I am a snub but I tip well, consequently on my second visit (dinner) during my stay, staff was aware of my presence and my quirks
Hostesses learned my name, as well as the Executive Chef and used it whenever they saw me in the property and restaurant, making visits to venue worthwhile, keeping me in the Hotel for dinner.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mik2013 Holiday Inn has gone down hill
My wife and I have stayed at many Holiday Inns over the years, and have been pleased with most aspects of those stays. This stay on March 4, 2013, in Managua, Nicaragua, was dissapointing. We could not get a ride from the airport because it was too late at night. We could not get a beer or drink once we arrived because it was too late. The mini bar had been removed from our room for some reason. The pillows were plentiful, but very hard and too firm. Breakfast was not included in the room price, and was very expensive. This place is not worth what they charge for it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Testpilot1 Nice, clean, friendly staff
I stayed here for business. I sometimes switch between the Intercontinental and the Holiday-Inn. Sincerely, this hotel is a much better value, because the rate is reasonable and everything is very good. The staff is always ready to help and please, with a smile.
They also recognize the Priority Status and always give you "something extra".
