Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Business Trip Every time I'm in the area for business I book a room at the Holiday Inn in manahawkin/Long Beach Island. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is always friendly and resourceful as well as professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes the convienence of a restaurant and room service in the hotel. The food is delicious. There is also a lounge to relax after a long day. There are restaurants in the area if you would like different choices as well as supermarkets and shopping. It is convienent to the Garden State Parkway and 7 miles from the ocean. I am a frequent business traveler and highly recommend this hotel. September 8, 2014

The restaurant was very convenient and pretty good. Kids eat all meals free. Would stay again, only hope the pool is better. September 8, 2014

The indoor pool was a little small but that was ok, because the beach is just a few miles away. The hotel is in a perfect location to stores and highways. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Handicapped Room Deficiency I made this reservation on short-notice for business. Was assigned a "handicapped room" which had a specially-equipped bathroom with roll-in shower. While the hotel is to be commended for their attention to this special-needs community, the shower did not have a curb on the floor and the floor was not sloped properly to allow proper drainage of the shower water. Thus, the entire bathroom floor flooded. I suggest that future guests build a "dam" with towels to keep the floor outside the shower partially dry, unless you do not mind standing in a cold puddle while attending to personal care. Also recommend not using the hair dryer or any electrical appliance while standing in the puddle as well. September 2, 2014

The hotel staff was very kind and called us back twice after a double check of our room. Unfortunately, our lenses were not found but we really appreciated their efforts and kindness. As usual , the staff was friendly , courteous and helpful.Kudo's to Charlie whom works at the front desk. Over the years I have found Charlie to be extraordinarily knowledgable about the area offering suggestions on where to eat, visit, shop, etc. This past week he was helpful in getting me an additional night in the same room on the busiest week of the summer. Not an easy task. Charlie made me feel like a Priority elite member ! I have stayed at this hotel at least 100 nights over the last 5 years and the staff truly makes you feel at home. The room was clean, the staff attentive, and the are was well located. Only problem is the darn NJ jug handles and trying to get to the hotel when coming off Route 9 south. Not the Hotel's fault but be aware you will need to go and make two u-turns sometimes to reach the hotel. August 29, 2014

Very enjoyable food and wait service for a reasonable price. Our waitress was great. *The Hotel is located within 7 mins from the beach which was so beautiful. *Hotel staff was very helpful for every question or extra towels or any needs we had. *We will be returning for "shore". Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Option! As a longtime LBI benny, I never considered staying in Manahawkin. Now I know the Holiday Inn is an excellent option! Just a few minutes on the causeway (and since you can see the traffic you can determine when is the best time to get on it) this location is easy to access. And, if you don't want to drive on the Island for dinner, head just up the road on 72 to Brazzi's! Just across from Buy-Rite, this Italian BYOB has Excellent Food! It's a local gem. Will be returning again - did I say "Chowdar Fest?" Enjoy! August 21, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed We stayed at this hotel a few years back and have since been recommending it to all of our family and friends. Was so surprised when we arrived this past weekend and saw how the hotel has become rather rundown. The carpeting looks worn, the elevators smelt and the rooms were showing their age. I was very disappointed when we checked in and found out we were given a king bed. I made our reservations online, through a live chat with one of your representatives, and was told there would be accommodations for four. She told me if there weren't two beds there would at least be a pull out sofa. When we checked in, we were told that there was no chance of that. When we said that then we couldn't stay, we were told we would still have to incur the fee for one night. The man at the desk was very rude and didn't care if we gave him our business or not. . It made me realize that I have to stop recommending this Holiday Inn. But on a positive note - the room was very clean! August 20, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unusual accomadations I stay at holiday Inns approx 50 plus nights a year. I also have all the sales people I work with stay also. I have been a platinum member for years. This was a family stay on vacation. While the staff was pleasant I was refused an upgrade without the desk clerk even checking for availability. Never have I seen that. My room did not supply a refrigerator or a microwave, I was told I could rent one. All of the holiday inns I frequent supply both in all rooms. Asking a customer to pay for what should be supplied is insulting. While the hotel was clean and the restaurant served good food at reasonable prices I will not recommend this hotel. I feel that a platinum loyal customer should be treated better than I was by the staff. All reasonable efforts should have been exhausted to improve my accommodations. I don't feel that was the case. Hotel is very beautiful, we just used it for sleeping, but it did have pool, restaurant, fitness etc. I was only disappointed that for the price there wasn't coffee or continental breakfast in lobby. Coffee pot in room, but I like to be able to grab something on way out. Otherwise, much nicer than staying in motel on island and reasonably priced for being 10 min away. August 13, 2014
