The staff is great and the hotel is comfortable.This is the first time that my gov't rate was not accepted .I also did not receive a voucher for one free breakfast that I have always received in the past . They wanted $7.95 for a continental breakfast that had a choice an Apple or a banana ,toast or muffin,juice and coffee.That would be free in any other hotel or motel.I will keep this in mind planning my next trip to Manassas.It's the little this that makes a place stand out. I appreciate that you offered such nice non-dairy creamers for the morning coffee since I'm allergic to dairy products and to eggs. That's why, I felt the breakfast was average. Not enough for me with my allergies. For those with non-allergies, I would say the food offered was excellent. My overall experience at your hotel was that you made me comfortable and that resulted in my happiness. Thank you for trying so hard Holiday Inn. Your efforts showed. I will definitely recommend you and will stay there again. I come there annually since I'm from that area originally. I visit family/friends. The staff is extremely professional and very accommodating. The General Manager Rod is always at or around the front desk or in dining area. The highest quality Holiday Inn on the east coast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HOLIDAY INN MANASSAS Stayed at Holiday Inn Manassas for 3 nights; arrived on a red-eye flight with 3 hours of sleep. I called and spoke to front desk assistant Nelly and asked if any way to possilbly check in earlier; she was more than accomodating. She took our phone number and in a few hours we received a call from Nelly telling us our room was ready. WHAT A LIFESAVER! We caught up on our sleep a bit and were able to meet up with our family later and enjoy the rest of the stay. Didn't use any of the facilities really (we thought breakfast included with stay, but found out otherwise--my fault as I did't remember what I booked. But the front desk gentleman offered us 1/2 off coupon for restaurant anyway) Hotel is immaculate and quiet; nice for resting/business travel. Best customer service--THANK YOU NELLY! August 13, 2014

The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The dining room staff are friendly and swift. The food is always good and I was given a complimentary breakfast. From the great staff, clean room and the many amenities provided, I felt I was at my home and office away from home. When traveling on business one faces many variables that can make a trip very stressful. From flight delays, car rental issues to meeting schedule revisions. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Resraurant Lacking The physical plant is excellent. The rooms are clean and everything feels new. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel's downfall is the restaurant. On my first morning, there were some items out for the buffet - which included cereal and fruit. However, there was only one person there who was setting things up, and acting as the waiter. I had to look for this person to get some coffee. By the time the coffee was ready, I was almost through with my meal. On the second morning there were three hot items out on the buffet - period. There was no cereal, no fruit, and no juice. There was also no waiter. There were half a dozen people who ate, but didn't get anything to drink. I finally found someone to make coffee, but by the time it came out I was finished waiting. The hotel needs better management, and oversight, otherwise they would be better off closing the restaurant. Those of us that paid for breakfast when we made our reservations were stuck. Staff was very friendly and made you feel comfortable and at home. The restaurant was not open for lunch and a continental breakfast would have been nice but really it was a lovely stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family of 4 enjoyed our stay! We stayed in several Holiday Inns along the East Coast on our vacation with our 2 children. Manassas - Battlefield Holiday Inn was our favorite. The service at the Front Desk made the biggest difference. They were welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious (2 queen beds - standard room), clean, and perfect for our needs. The pool was adequate and the exercise room had 2 treadmills, elliptical, and bike, which was nice. This was not an expensive place to stay, but we really enjoyed the area, as well as the friendly service given to us at the Holiday Inn. July 18, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by quite a let down, service was poor and I don't think I will stay there next time First, I would like to state that I stay at Holiday Inn’s when I travel, with little if any complaints. This passed trip however was enough to make me look somewhere else. The stay cost twice as much as usual. When I asked about it the desk attendant gave me an answered to imply ( oh well ). The room has a broken desk chair. I found out that staying there does not automatically insure that my Priority Club point is added. The next morning I arrived at the dining room at 6:12 am for breakfast. The lights were off the room was dark and I thought they had not open yet. There were two other guests there who were sitting in the dark wondering why the room was dark and what you had to do. I check the sign at the entrance to confirm they were opened at 6:00 am. I had to ask for food service. There was a noticeable difference in the selection of food at the buffet, much smaller than in the past. I suppose I did not qualify for a complementary discount card for Breakfast. There was no coffee in the lobby. I had to keep looking for a server. I had to ask if I could have some coffee. After eating I waited for about ten minutes then had to track down the server. I paid with cash and the server made some comment about that, I could not understand what was said as they passed by dropping the change in my hand (hardly slowing down). In all I felt at the end of my stay that I was not very welcome there. I not sure if it was just one of those things or I would be better off staying down the road. Note: I don't expect a red carpet, just respect. June 30, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by We'll be back A little snafu at checkin was addressed immediately by the obviously empowered, friendly, helpful front desk folks. We travel a lot. Stuff happens. It's what's done after stuff happens that really defines good service. "I'm so sorry! I'll take care of that right now!" Simple words you just don't hear much these days. We chatted with the General Manager a couple times. He spent time in the lobby engaging his guests. The condition of the room was typical for Holiday Inn. Ask for a corner room. It was a bit more roomy than most Holiday Inn rooms we've been in. Housekeeping was excellent. Beds comfortable. Not all properties are up to IHG standards as well as this location. Spent early mornings in the welcoming lobby sipping their decent coffee and reading. Breakfast was typical and adequate. However, if we had not had breakfast coupons we would probably have gone elsewhere. There are several eating options a short drive away. Nothing within walking distance. We have friends in the area so it's a great location for us. It's also a perfect spot from which to explore Civil War battlefields, Virginia wine country and horse farms. Although it's not close by, we also took the traffic challenge and drove up to Great Falls Narional Park for a day. Had a pleasant 4 day stay. Pretty sure we'll be back. June 15, 2014
