Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Relaxing We arrived early because we were going to watch Manchester United, and we wished to locate the hotel first. I went to reception and made myself known to the staff. The receptionist was so helpful, and informed us our room was ready if we wanted to check in immediately. The room was large and very comfortable. We arrived back early evening, and reserved a table in the restaurant, where we both enjoyed a lovely meal with wine, that was real value for money. This was a lovely weekend, and we will definitely be back, and would throughly recommend this venue for the airport. Kind Regards A P McStay December 5, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good resturant we have stayed here for the last 3 years at the same time in novemember but this year was rather different we were up graded to a superiour room which was lovely but there was a wedding on at this time and i think most of the guests were also on this floor with the slamming and banging of doors kids running riot it was not a plesant experience as we had to get up early for an early flight we did not feel as we should have i know it was a wedding but they should have consideration for other guests this continued on till about 2am not accepatable December 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and lovely pool We really enjoyed our stay. The friendly staff went out of their way to help us. Restaurant was excellent value for money. Great fitness centre with a fab pool. And all very convenient for the airport. December 3, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Long waiting times and disproportional cost for each extra service It is not the first time I stayed in this hotel, but it never feels comfortable. Either the amount of the bill is not ok, either the priority number is not booked in, I even got somebody elses invoice the last time. To get the correct one by email, I had to wait for 5 days!. An evening internet costs 10£ and the airport service is even more expensive than ordering a taxi. The hotel is not worth the money. November 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One night stay Efficient check-in service. Clean, comfortable room A biscuit with tea/coffee would have been nice. November 30, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Hotel but cold bedroom was delighted at this hotel, very nice good value for money etc until we stayed in our room. There wasn't any heating as such only a single pipe running through the room underneath the radiator (which apparently is switched off in case of children, we didn't have any with us) The aircon unit/heater didn't blow hot air so was useless although it didn't say this anywhere in the room that it did not work. I had to watch tv in the room fully clothed under the duvet but was still cold. I then went to reception who told me there wasn't 'any more' heaters to give out which lead me to believe our room wasn't the only one that was cold but they did deliver 2 blankets which we had to use all night to keep warm. We have not received any further apology or reduction to the cost. November 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent all round service Stayed here for a wedding a few weeks ago, from the moment we checked in till the following morning when we left we had excellent service from all members of staff we encountered. The room was wonderful its was a kingsize so was nice and roomy, and considering the hotel is off quite a busy road and close to Manchester airport , there was no problem with noise. The bed was comfy and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was good there was plenty to choose from and it was hot and well cooked. We have never stayed in a Holiday Inn before, and would recommend them to anyone. We ourselves are off to try another one at New Year and hope to find the experience just as good. November 18, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good place to stay MY wife and I stayed for two nights. Staff very polite and well organised the rooms are very good and clean as was the rest of the Hotel. The facilities( swimming poll gym Steamroom Gcousie ) were used by bothe of us. The food was Excellent and not expensive. We will use the hotel again. November 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Welcoming. very clean, efficient and pleasant staff, spacious rooms This is a very pleasant hotel in which to spend a night or two. The service of all the staff is excellent, the rooms are spacious and the bathroom has everything that is needed. The park-and stay package made things so very easy for us, and we would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling from Manchester airport. The food in the restaurant was very good indeed, both for dinner and breakfast. The only adverse comment (and this is being very critical) is that the duvets on the single beds were rather small and a spare blanket in the room would have been welcome as it was a very cold night November 8, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No alarm call/ No apology Second stay and park at this hotel as impressed with the first. However, a mix up witht the internet booking led to the receptionist requesting a further £12 per day for parking. I explained that there had been a problem and she eventually offered the parking for a further £22 (This still meant I payed over £80 much more than previous stay) She was very patronising and informed me that I should realise that she didn't have to offer the lower price. Requested alarm call (written on booking sheet) as am flight but I am still awaiting this. Told the receptionist as rushing to catch cab the next day she just shrugged and offered no apology or explanation. Very disappointed re this stay. November 4, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel but not really business friendly I stayed at this hotel during a business trip to the NW. Although I will definitely use it again, one criticism is that there are no irons in the bedrooms (you can request one from housekeeping). I travel on business a lot and easy access to an iron is essential. Also, Holiday Inn have stopped biscuits in the rooms (!!) which seems a little petty. That said, this particular hotel is really nice. The food is better than most Holiday Inns I have stayed at and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely stay there next time I am in the NW. October 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent room We stayed here after a week in Kos, we had parked the car the week before and stayed on our return. The car parking is self explanatory and there is a very easy to follow system in place. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially on our return, as we didn't arrive at the hotel until 2am. Check in was easy and there was someone available to help with our luggage, which was a relief as we had to go upstairs with 4 suitcases, 4 lots of hand luggage and a baby!! There are no lifts that I could see, but this really was no problem. The room was large, the beds were comfortable and most importantly the room was lovely and warm. There was no noise that filtered into the room from other guests and we slept very well. The bathroom was clean but the shower did seem a little fiddly and it took me a while to figure it out!! An overall excellent experience :) October 22, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable stay Staff were very courteous and helpful, hotel was reasonably comfortable just for one night stay. Good breakfast and quick snack for lunch good. October 20, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor staff service We handmade the booking on line for 2rooms one for the kids one for us. It turned out we were booked for 2 rooms each with 4 people in. No attempt was made to try and alter the situation which saw us all in one room for the night. The manager was who we were dealing with and she made no attempt to try and make things better blaming us for the booking error without looking in to it. When we later needed the use of a scanner again though the hotel has not got one no attempt to try and help find one was made. Very poor service from a company we have stayed with all over the world because we hAve found staff so accommodating especially traveling with children. Not at this one though. October 19, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Surprising country location A very comfortable hotel with good country activities nearby. The restaurant and bar prices however are ridiculous. October 19, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing special I stayed here for 4 nights for business in October. Check in: was fairly smooth but my room had a musty smell. It was alos quite tired and in need of an update. The TV in particular was ancient and was quite fuzzy. The bathroom was okay with a decent shower above the bath. Internet is expensive and very slow even if you pay extra for the 'business' connection. Breakfast is good once you sit down. Every morning it is a long wait if you do as requested and wait to be seated. It wasn't busy it was just that the staff are always in the kitchen. I would recommend that you sit down and let them take your details when they see you, otherwise you will waste a lot of time. The food itself was quite nice with a reasonable selection. I did not eat in the restaurant but did order room service. The food was average. One night I ordered pizza which was like the type of pizza you get from a kebab shop, thick and very cheesy. I also ordered a rocket and parmesan salad which arrived with great thick slats of cheese. Another night I ordered a salad which was ok but the dressing wasn't mixed but simply balsamic vinegar and olive oil in a bowl. So with no way of shaking it you just poured olive oil on your saled whilst the balsamic stayed at the bottom of the bowl. Overall, i was disapointed with this hotel. It needs updating and some care put into the food. October 18, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointig stay at Manchester Airport I normally really enjoy my stays at Holiday Inn, I travel frequently ( am a priority club gold member) and always book Holiday Inns when there is a possible choice of hotels. On this occassion, I booked a stay fly package at the Manchester Airport HI - I wish I hadn't bothered! Firstly, we could find the hotel on calling the front desk to ask for directions, the lady who answered was so rude. I was trying to ask for directions and she repeatedly just said the hotel is on the A559 - no good to me, I dont know the areas and haven't a clue where the A559 is!!!! After going round in circles ( and me not being any the wiser of the hotel location#, the front desk receptionist started to get quite rude and actually laughed with clear irritation in her voice - disappointingly when we finally got to the hotel it turned out that your rude employee was actually the night shift manager # female). She obviously realised that she had been rude as she suggested that it was actually ' guests' that I had heard laughing in 'the background', not her. Why lie? It was a silly thing to do becuase it was clearly her who had been rude on the phone....not proffessional and definately not acceptable! The room was also a huge disappointment -very dated, tiny, dirty with a noisy aircon that didn't work. On the plus side the transport service to the airport was excellent, driver on time, polite and proffessional. October 14, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average experience Myself and my partner stayed here last Saturday for a friends party. Upon arriving we had to wait a while to check in as there was only one staff member on reception. When we arrived at our room we thought it was quite nice. The bed was large and there was enough space in the room. It was decorated quite nicely as well and we were given tea and coffee. Also considering how close to the airport we was it was very quiet. We did not use the restaurant, although from what I saw it looked quite nice! However we found that our bath had not been cleaned and there was a lot of hair in it which was rather unpleasant. Although when I reported this at reception a maid came and cleaned it for us. My only other complaint was that our bed was two twin beds zipped together. This would have been okay, however there was no padding over the zip which made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. October 13, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent accomodation-good price Room is in need of refurbishment--doors,etc are off-white-furniture is old and not in the best of condition. Tv did not work for both nights of our stay--no spare TV's either! Bed was massive and comfortable.Breakfast was very good with staff constantly topping up nearly empty bowls. Staff were very friendly and helpfu, but no recognition as a priority club member October 13, 2012
