Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast wait staff most unhelpful When coming in for breakfast the first morning we stayed at HI, I asked the waiter about breakfast options. He only mentioned the expensive hot buffet. I asked if there was a menu that provided other options, he said yes (but never offered it) and told me the menu option was usually even more expensive. I discovered on the way out I could get an English muffin and coffee for MUCH less than the buffet....and that's all I wanted to begin with. I felt he was dishonest. August 5, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This place stinks I mean that quite literally - I have stayed at this hotel for business on and off for the past 6 years. I much prefer a few other hotels in the area, but when they are booked I end up here. When I got off the elevator on my floor last week, the elevator area smelled strongly of body odor, as did the corridor near my room. The blackout blinds had holes in them, so golden streetlamp light bled into my room all night. There's one, single accessible power outlet in the whole room. My friend's computer got a virus using their wifi. The food is average, though there is a really nice guy who works the breakfast shift in the dining area who provides very nice service. There is also a full service gym, which I did not visit on this trip, but as of my last time here was also, like the guest rooms, much in need of a facelift. August 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I would add these Based on my travel and stays at other hotels, I have some suggestions: A complimentary breakfast. I have never stayed in a facility in which breakfast is not part of the package. $15 is too much to pay for eggs, juice and toast, as every food-shopper knows. Also, no moderate-priced restaurant or diner is within view. A schematic map to find a market and a pharmacy, as well as a restaurant. I was given spoken instructions to find a CVS, which I did not find, but found a Stop N Shop. You should provide written instructions for this and other destinations in a very spread-out area. Maintain the air conditioner, which is very noisy and does not make for good sleeping. Home away from home: I used the coffeemaker, thank you. I would like a microwave oven and popcorn. I was in room 327, about as far from the lobby as I could get, and I certainly did not want to walk through deserted hallways alone and pay restaurant prices for a snack. BTW, at the seminar I attended, I think the notepads you furnish have a 10 percent discount at Pike's Peak. Doesn't it stand to reason that when I charge a meal to my room the 10 percent discount should be assumed? Your notebook should be in plain sight, not in a dresser drawer. No instructions for the a/c are in the book. You have a lot of ads, so this publication probably makes money for you. I suggest that you and Coridian neighbors request a sign pointing toward the roads to 495. Without Ms. Garmin, I would still be circling your neighborhood! In the lobby, a sign for the seminar would help. July 30, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BUSINESS TRIP 7-14 THE STAY AND LOCATION WAS NICE. ON CHECK IN WAS MET WITH THE STAFF AND AS A REWARDS MEMBER THAT WAS NOT ACKKNWLEDGED. NO FAVORS OR GREETING. TH ROOM INITIALLY WAS QUITE BUT AFTER GOING TO BED AROUND 830 PM WAS AWAKENED BY LOAD MUSIC FROMTHE BANQUIT HALL. FINALLY SUBSIDED AFTER I FELL ASLEEP FROM BEING EXHAUSTED. I WASN'T IMPRESSED OVERLY. I HAVE STAYED AT BETTER AT A LOWER COST. WILL July 25, 2014
