Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MagicFlute Very nice and unusual Holiday Inn
I really like this facility. It has an extremely unusual lobby with fountains and plantings. The room was very clean and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. I was at the inn for a service club meeting, and it was an enjoyable experience.

Upside - Staff was attentive and helpful. Rooms clean and nicely kept. I had a refrigerator and microwave in my room, with an outside balcony. Restaurant was good, with nice buffet breakfast in the morning and evening bar and dinner service.
Downside - As a business traveler, I need to use the wireless network supplied by the hotel as I need to work during the off hours. The routers here were inconsistent, and signal would go in and out. I did have a air card to connect, but the cell signal was poor as well.
I travel to Mansfield for work at various times and will need to look elsewhere unless the wireless internet system is upgraded and replaced. In addition, I cannot recommend my colleagues as well. I think this will be simple fix that will benefit the hotel in the future.

Came down to Foxboro to visit family, they suggested this place. Room was very clean, mattress was great. The only real problem was the door sticks, must have been painted and not left to dry! Hot tub was very cold, pool area could use some work. Bar was cute, staff friendly. Staff at the front desk were very nice. we will come back, the hotel is located at a great place!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rhoward117 Unexpected Great Hotel
I used to think Holiday Inn, standard hotel no bells and whistles, till I re-tried the hotel when I went to Mansfield. As I entered into the hotel I was blown away with the appearance, they made it feel like I was outside in a tropical area with the way walkways and plants were set up. As I entered in the room, there were not many outlets and there was no microwave but the room was large enough and so was the bathroom. The best part about the room was it had a balcony that over-looked the hotel with the "scenic" view, set with a table and chairs it was so quaint. It made you feel like you were in a city it was loud, but in a good way. However, if you close the door you could hear nothing. The bed was THE BEST bed I have slept in in a hotel in a while. I wanted to take the sheets and pillows, I am on a mission to find out where they get their bedding!
I want to find a trip to stay here again!

This hotel was very easy to get to from Gillett stadium. It was very clean. The pool was nice, but could have been a little cleaner. The room was nice, but the bathtub drained very slowly. The breakfast was a good deal. Overall nice place, with very friendly staff.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Boz4004 Stay at Mansfield Holiday Inn
This was my second visit in under one year to this hotel. This time I found the hotel very noisy (air conditioning systems, ice machines, coke machines, water features in lobby) and did not get any good or relaxing sleep. Did have a room change, but it did not resolve the noise levels too much.
Hotel looked and felt tired and worn, needs a good refurbishment, more modern appearance, improved lighting, especially in the bedroom (very poor).
Wifi in bedroom did not work at all (tried two different machines), and just about got a signal in the lounge area. Business Centre PCs, one broken, the other not linking to the internet for an unknown reason.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

This was one of the few hotels in the Boston area that accepted Smokers as valued guests. No more. The rules have changed without notice to customers already booked smoking rooms.
The hotel is due for renovation, out dated furniture, A/C system, carpeting.

Although overall experince was good, I disappointed on one thing. The WiFi service is not good. It constantly disconnects and connects back. I got a WiFi analizer and checked your signal status. Believe me, you need someone to take care of it. You got a very unstable system on all the AP's I could saw from my room identified as Holyday Inn. I stay there because of my job and certanly, internet access is a must for me. Hope you can take note and check it.

My room overlooked the pool -- which might sound nice, but it was an indoor pool and there was NO NATURAL LIGHT coming in. It made me feel like my room was underground, which was off putting. I did not realize a interior view meant no sunlight whatsoever. The room itself was clean, and looked fine. The beds were comfy and bathroom was large. My only real issue was the location of the room and the constant smell of chlorine.
Pike's Place Steakhouse was not good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lori99 Great hotel, poor lighting
Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast and restaurant/pub, and fabulous saltwater pool.
Rooms overlooking the pool have no natural light, because the pool area skylight is covered over. The light fixtures are not sufficient - our room and the entire pool area were in twilight all day long. It was nice in the evening but not what we wanted on a sunny day.

As a business traveler I was originally surprised by the ;location of this hotel, I felt that it was "out of the way." Then I drove to Gillette Stadium... EASY. Just minutes until we were tailgating! After the game, headed south, again back in minutes.
The staff made myself and my guests feel like we were royalty.
Very impressive hotel with all rooms facing the indoor courtyard with balconies. Clean, updated, nice. STAY HERE

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by mathtchr Breakfast wait staff most unhelpful
When coming in for breakfast the first morning we stayed at HI, I asked the waiter about breakfast options. He only mentioned the expensive hot buffet. I asked if there was a menu that provided other options, he said yes (but never offered it) and told me the menu option was usually even more expensive. I discovered on the way out I could get an English muffin and coffee for MUCH less than the buffet....and that's all I wanted to begin with. I felt he was dishonest.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Foxboro Frequenter This place stinks
I mean that quite literally - I have stayed at this hotel for business on and off for the past 6 years. I much prefer a few other hotels in the area, but when they are booked I end up here. When I got off the elevator on my floor last week, the elevator area smelled strongly of body odor, as did the corridor near my room. The blackout blinds had holes in them, so golden streetlamp light bled into my room all night. There's one, single accessible power outlet in the whole room. My friend's computer got a virus using their wifi. The food is average, though there is a really nice guy who works the breakfast shift in the dining area who provides very nice service. There is also a full service gym, which I did not visit on this trip, but as of my last time here was also, like the guest rooms, much in need of a facelift.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nejc I would add these
Based on my travel and stays at other hotels, I have some suggestions:
A complimentary breakfast. I have never stayed in a facility in which breakfast is not part of the package. $15 is too much to pay for eggs, juice and toast, as every food-shopper knows. Also, no moderate-priced restaurant or diner is within view.
A schematic map to find a market and a pharmacy, as well as a restaurant. I was given spoken instructions to find a CVS, which I did not find, but found a Stop N Shop. You should provide written instructions for this and other destinations in a very spread-out area.
Maintain the air conditioner, which is very noisy and does not make for good sleeping.
Home away from home:
I used the coffeemaker, thank you.
I would like a microwave oven and popcorn. I was in room 327, about as far from the lobby as I could get, and I certainly did not want to walk through deserted hallways alone and pay restaurant prices for a snack.
BTW, at the seminar I attended, I think the notepads you furnish have a 10 percent discount at Pike's Peak. Doesn't it stand to reason that when I charge a meal to my room the 10 percent discount should be assumed?
Your notebook should be in plain sight, not in a dresser drawer. No instructions for the a/c are in the book. You have a lot of ads, so this publication probably makes money for you.
I suggest that you and Coridian neighbors request a sign pointing toward the roads to 495. Without Ms. Garmin, I would still be circling your neighborhood!
In the lobby, a sign for the seminar would help.

THE STAY AND LOCATION WAS NICE. ON CHECK IN WAS MET WITH THE STAFF AND AS A REWARDS MEMBER THAT WAS NOT ACKKNWLEDGED. NO FAVORS OR GREETING. TH ROOM INITIALLY WAS QUITE BUT AFTER GOING TO BED AROUND 830 PM WAS AWAKENED BY LOAD MUSIC FROMTHE BANQUIT HALL. FINALLY SUBSIDED AFTER I FELL ASLEEP FROM BEING EXHAUSTED.
I WASN'T IMPRESSED OVERLY. I HAVE STAYED AT BETTER AT A LOWER COST.

This hotel could be much more upscale with new/updated furniture in the rooms, new carpeting, paint and wallpaper throughout the hotel. Not quite what I thought a Holiday Inn should be.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 How bad can bad be
For what I spent for one night should have been better quality rooms. What no free breakfast. Your breakfast buffet was not worth what you were asking. Went to a coffee shop instead. A full bottle of water found on the floor of the room when I first walked in. Old decor in the rooms. An elevator that sounds like metal on metal when the doors open and close. Laundry carts in the hall ways during prime check in time and the trash bags as well. Musty smelling room.

Overall our experience was poor while staying here. Our AC didn't work, and all our bed sheets were damp. We brought it to the staff's attention, and they didn't seem to care much. Told us they would look into it, never did. Spent two nights with zero AC and damp sheets. Will not stay here ever again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by concert2014 loud air conditioning fan, never shut off.
Went to stay overnight for a concert at Xfinity Center. The restaurant (steakhouse) had poor menu. Service was very slow. No one seemed to care very much about food service. We took the local shuttle service to and from the concert. No problem going but took so long to get back to the hotel that our friends were home in Boston quicker than we were back to the hotel. They only had one van transporting passengers. They did not show up to pick up the first hotel group until 15 to 20 minutes after the concert. They kept coming back to the area that they told us to wait at. The Holiday Inn was the last group to go back. Not a very pleasant experience.
