My Family of 8 made a reservation of 4 x club room sea view at HI Melaka.
The hotel was huge, 30 storeys high (if im not wrong) with a choice of city or sea view. It has its own front porch carpark which was a reason why i chose this hotel.
The rooms were reasonably sized and the restrooms were equipped with either shower or bath. The sea view was disappointing as the government has undergo works to reclaim part of the land, making the scenery not as beautiful as before.
The executive lounge service was mixed. Staff Benjamin was pointed out by my family to be very helpful and professional in his service. Choices during evening service was average for food but refreshments and alcoholic drinks provided were of good quality.
The tea tree spa offers reasonably priced massage/spa packages for in house guests and the service provided was good. Manage to relieve our muscles and senses after a hot day on the streets.
Overall good place to stay.

Did a weekend getaway as school holiday break. Enjoy revisiting the place after many years but the drive from Makohta Parade to Holiday Inn is confusing. Perhaps the hotel can give a guiding map and road signs erect.

We have been returning to melaka holiday inn annually for a relaxing family retreat since its opening 8th year ago. Checking in and out is always a breeze as we are priority club members.
The hotel superbs at its housekeeping which keeps the rooms clean. You can request for additional pillows (firm, soft, contour, etc) for your comfort.
The swimming pool offers a sea view sighting. There is a jaguzzi but its only available for MEN. so biased!
The hotel food used to be 4 stars but now its just average or below. At peak hours, waiting time for the lift can be lengthy as there are only 3 passenger lifts.
Its location is great as its within walking distance to shopping area - dataran pahlawan, makota parade and hatten square. At the jetty infront, there is ktv / billiard and some eateries. You can also have short stroll to infamous Jonker Walk and take a rickshaw back which costs RM$15. You can always approach the friendly conceige for recommendations of sightseeing or delicacies.
