Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by speedy service in early morning I phoned ahead to advise our flight from Perth had been delayed and we would not be checking in until after 1am. reception noted this and took appropriate details to hasten check in on arrival, as I was travelling with my 9 and 12 year old daughters. upon arrival at 1.15am, we sailed through check in and was able to get my girls into bed and asleep within 5 minutes. thank you greatly. also big thanks to staff for letting us back into room to retrieve daughters phone, some 30 minutes post check out. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service Experience I booked this hotel because they advertise free airport shuttle service. I was told this was not available because they were using the vehicles for "training purposes." I was also told there was 30 min of complimentary Internet service in the lobby (should have free wifi in the rooms). When my service cut out after 10 minutes the desk person said she needed to get a manager to approve additional time. He nor she never came. I noticed the sign they had that said there was complimentary wifi if you ordered drinks from the bar. I ordered two drinks which totaled $27 and when I asked for the wifi code I was told "oh, we don't do that." Seriously!? March 23, 2013

However when we returned after 6 nights away and wanted to be picked up from the airport, we rang the hotel, & then waited, & waited, and finally 30 minutes later we called again, They had forgotten about us. Considering the amount we payed for the park, stay & fly package, which includes drop off & pickup from airport, we were not impressed, and will consider other options next time. March 14, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by experience I used my priority card to book this accommodation. So everything should have been noted (with my request for a late check out due to my late flight). I had 4 people (3 of which walked in without knocking) to check the room, mini bar purchase clean etc. I purchased a movie to relax for the last 3 hours before I collected the shuttle bus for my flight. I also could not find a "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door. Also i was put next to some noisey kids, which i understand cant be helped. I really wanted to rest on the last day of my business trip and this experience left me with a bad experience and no relaxing before going home. I have another booking coming up in June and hope this is not as bad as this experience. Thanks March 13, 2013

The beds were comfy, everything was clean and because we were heading overseas the next day we had dinner in the restaurant with our friends. To everyone's amazement, the food was excellent -not typical hotel fare.....up to fine dining standards. Customer service was great too. My only irritation was that internet was not included with the room. I travel all over the world and that is unusual these days. Overall though, an excellent place to stay!! March 5, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Misinformed personnel My overall experience is good but a front desk representative misinformed me about how long I could extend my stay due to my Priority Rewards Club membership; this unfortunate mishap prevent my experience from being more highly rated. I believe that the gentleman's name was Andrew. Andrew told me that I could check out of the hotel @ 3:00pm on Sunday, February 10, 2013. When I proceeded to check out at that time, I was told that because I stayed an extra hour, I had to be charged an extra twenty dollars! Had I not been misinformed, I would have checked at 2:00 pm to preclude the superfluous charge. I believe all hotel personnel should the rules and policies of the hotel! Thank you. February 19, 2013

It is very reasonably priced for a premium location and provides a wonderful convenience for travellers or workers who have to overnight in the area. Food and beverage is fine and also well priced. The staff were friendly and professional and when I rang to be picked up so I was able to collect my car, the driver was at the pick up spot within 5 mins. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One night stay - excellent! As with many folks, this was a quick in and out, one night stay between flights. We needed a quiet, CLEAN, hassle free 24 hours and we got it! Very comfortable bed, bathroom, TV, etc. Staff was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We did not use the in-room bar offerings or the bar or restaurant downstairs. All were too expensive for our budget. We did use the courtesy coffee and tea and it was just fine. We ate at the nearby McDonalds. We would not recommend it. Dirty, noisy and the food was substandard for American McDonald's, in our opinion. We are 70ish age, married couple. Hope this helps! Kudos to the Melbourne Airport HI! February 16, 2013

Customer service made changes for us with no fuss at all. For family of seven, Double rooms very comfortable. The bar drink and meals very reasonable compared to Airport and other hotels at airport. We always stay overnight at Melbourne airport when flying out next day. The Shuttle service to our flights was excellent. This was first time at Holiday Inn Airport Hotel. Will use again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent I was very impressed with the service I received from the holiday inn and would recommend it to any other traveller who would like to stay at this hotel. The concierge desk was friendly and helped me in any way they could. When I asked them a question they went and found the answer. The bar person when I went down for drinks was friendly and made conversation even when it was about the tennis. The lady at the restaurant was also nice and imformative that it was better to come down to the buffet than ordering the food to our room. Which worked out cheaper. There was free internet to use and nice beds with excellent sheets. The pillows were perfect and had lables telling you which ones were hard or soft. And I loved so much the shampoo fantastic they made my hair so soft and straight. Even when leaving my room the cleaner said hello. I was very impressed and a 11/10 will be given and I was be going next time. Happy Happy customer.Whenever I needed help the staff were there to help. The guest rooms are comfortable I walked from the airport to the hotel. It takes about 10 - 15 minutes, even with a large suitcase. There was signposting along part of the way to the Holiday Inn and one other hotel. The signposting to the Holiday Inn ended part way along the walkway, but signs continued for the other hotel. This was disappointing for a first time guest at the Holiday Inn. February 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Experience This had been booked for some time and I had a copy of the booking information. I arrived at the Holiday Inn and tried to walk thru the revolving doors which did not work so worked thru the side do to access the hotel. Upon reaching the reception counter was greeted well by the female staff member which was great and then attempted to check in. This process should have been straight forward but proved anything but. I told her my name to which she informed me that I didn't have a reservation. I then informed her of the reservation details including the number which I was also informed belonged to someone else, though it came up to my address phone number etc. I produced my Priority membership card with this also being incorrect on there system as it also came up to another person. This continued for some time by which time I was already tired and this did not help things. Finally she went and saw another staff member who said to get the room sorted for us and will be fixed by the morning. To say that this left a sour note was an understatement. We finally got the room key and went to the room thinking that it had the pull down black out curtains that used the runners system. This was not the case with them having black out curtains though it was not fully blacked out and I had an early flight the next morning so was further disappointed with this. Had also asked for a copy of the Herald Sun Newspaper for in the morning and upon waking up found the age instead. It appeared that nothing was going right. The bedding itself was reasonably good and comfortable. Upon checkout was given a copy of the account and found that it still had someone else name upon it so we asked if it could be fixed and was argued with by an arrogant male at the front desk that it was all fine etc. He then handed me what I though must have been the corrected invoice and at this point didn't check as I had to get to my flight. Once at the terminal I realized that all he had done was reprinted a copy of the incorrect invoice. So to state the obvious it was an appalling place to stay with such attitudes that I dealt with and the lack of professionalism. Recommend travelers to stay elsewhere. Incompetent. January 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OVernight transit Perfect if you're stuck staying overnight at Melbourne airport while in transit (like we were flying Broome to Melbourne to Wellington - less than 8 hours flying but it takes 2 days to do it). Comfortable spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Nothing exciting but everything was immaculate. And their complementary shuttle service (phone from the shuttle zones outside the terminal and they're there in less than 10 minutes, and shuttles back the next morning every 15 minutes) is excellent. A shame the HDMI input on the in-room TV appears to be disabled, but otherwise couldn't fault the stay. (If the in-house restaurant is a little expensive for the night, McDonalds is less than 100 metres away). January 20, 2013

There was no courtesy phone at the airport to contact the hotel for shuttle service and no one at the airport seemed to know how to direct me, other than: only option- walk across the deck car park, cross a very busy parkway to get to the hotel (with all my luggage in hand). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Airport and comfortable Happy with Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport. Great room, nice bathroom. It was a little bit noisey with other guest arrving and having showers at 1am in the morning. Enjoyed breakfast. Only thing was we didn't know where to get the Hotels shuttle bus at the airport from, eventually we found it, but ended up walking. Reception organised shuttle bus back to airport which made it very easy. Can walk to airport only takes 10 -15 minutes. January 17, 2013
