Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and easy Great location and good for the budget. I stayed with my 2 children and they were very welcomed and accommodated to. Breakfast was lovely with fresh omelettes made to perfection! walk from southern cross station and best location for us to get on the freeway to head to Phillip Island. All members of staff were so very friendly and helpful, this was really noticeable. A big thank you to Daniella the waitress who was very welcoming and interested in our stay and her great directions to get around. Also the young man at reception was so helpful with all our enquiries and went out of his way to help in such a positive manner. The rooms were clean although small but we spent the day out and about so this was ok. We even had a swim so this was a good bonus for the kids. Would be happy to return. October 18, 2014

I received prompt service at checkin, was identified as an IHG member by the staff (I'd forgotten I was actually a member). The room was clean and fresh, the bed comfortable, the choice of pillows (firm and soft) a nice touch. Breakfast was greatly improved over my last stay (about 2 years prior). The biggest issue was the "complimentary" Internet access as an IHG member - 1Mbps isn't enough to do anything, I ended up using my 4G mobile phone as a tether point rather than waste time with the hotel WiFi. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant Menu / Your staff I am really disappointed in the menu for the restaurant / room service, it is quite limited (weighted with carbs) and not as good as the prior menu. The high point of this hotel is the staff. To a person they are bright, polite and incredibly helpful. I sometimes wonder if they are understaffed / overworked as they are incredibly busy all the time. October 13, 2014

Special mention of Michelle, John and Howard at breakfast - thanks for looking after me so well. When checking out Paul was a reminder of the happy nature of hotel.
