No complimentary upgrade for Platinum member, and price was very expensive for what was being offered. I moved to another place after a few nights and found much better hotels at 40% cheaper rates. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Power no Notice/Food??? I stay in hotels over 100 days a year. I have living in a suitcase down pretty well. This visit was very disappointing. They turned the power off on my floor for the entire day and gave me no notice. They said I should have got a letter. I checked the room again. No letter. I did get them to move me rooms after I complained again about no power or internet. The internet requires a booster in your room at this hotel. They know its a problem, and stated they are working on it with the owner. The room service food menu is very limited. I got a hamburger delivered very raw still in the middle. They really need to work on that menu. I will not be returning in my next visit. November 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by On business in Melbourne A real surprise to find such good food and friendly and helpful staff in a price sensitive market. The room was clean and in good condition and noise levels were low. Handy for those wanting to walk along the River Yarra for their morning exercise, I didn't get time to check out the in-house gym facilities but the pool looked inviting. Breakfast also was to the same high standard and again the staff proved attentive and keen to assist. As an overall rating it will be somewhere to stay again when in Melbourne. November 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Not recommended to IHG club members This hotel provides poor value-for-money. As a Platinum member there was no added value whatsoever. No upgrades, no welcome drink / water. The hotel is old and looks cheap. The only reson it charges that much per night is the (relatively) good location. Don't stay there unless you have to. November 16, 2014
