This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn and we had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is very well located in the Melbourne CBD and is great value.

we stayed 6 nights at the holiday inn melbourne, a Brilliant hotel, great location and the staff could not do enough for you,
We were shocked at the standard of the hotel, as it was superior to any holiday inns I have stayed in the UK.
Would recommend for business or pleasure and if I was to return to melbourne I would stay again.

In Melbourne for a family wedding, booked two rooms and everything went as expected. Great value for money and the location couldn't be better We'll be back as there are some shows we would like to see in the city and the short walk along Southbank makes the experience even more enjoyable.

The Holiday Inn on Flinders we found was in a good location. Close to Crown Casino and not to far to walk to the shops. We ate at the restaurant and I was sick that night. The glasses were dirty and had to ask for clean ones. Watched the waitress go through 5 glasses before she found a clean one. Also, the waitress who serviced us was not friendly and we felt she didn't want to be there. The reception staff where very friendly. We were happy with our rooms.

We had a very enjoyable stay with our two kids over the Christmas break. The location was ideal as the Public transport is so convinient. With the staff being so helpful the entire Family had a great experience. Looking forward to going back!

As a platinum member I am always looked after with an upgrade (usually a suite).
The hotel is located 1 block from the train station and only a 10 min walk into town.
Always made to feel welcome.

From the moment we checked in, we were so impressed with the level of customer service. Nothing was a problem for the front desk staff and they really went out of their way for us.
I think this hotel is a real gem and will come back again and again

Holiday Inn Flinders is in a great location- close to sports venues, shopping at the DFO across the river, the aquarium and the crown casino complex. The beds were comfortable and service excellent. Very friendly reception staff. We enjoyed the range offered for breakfast at the buffet. The pool area was very inviting. We will visit again.

Great location, great room great, great value, this motel only let its self down by giving a very shoddy breakfast service. We had to wait 15 min plus for a table being very pregnant and suffering from morning sickness this was annoying, however some hotel guests got sick of waiting and left and one poor lady had her entire breakfast at the coffee table, not being offered a table at all even when some became available. The coffee machine was not working and took more than 15 min to fill up two cups with coffee 10 times too strong to drink when I complained to the breakfast staff they ignored me. There were also no teaspoons, plates for cereal or fruit and no butter or margarine. Being that we stay at holiday inn because in general across the world they have excellent breakfast service it was a real disappointment.

Great rooms clean and tasteful. Easy to get to from Southern Cross station. Recpt Staff excellent, Bar staff great as well. Needed to go to Crown for Gala Ball, idea to walk to, great for a starting drink and easy meeting place. Have tried others in the area but will always come back here now. Rooms and service just too good.

this is the third stay now that I have been at platinum status and not recieved a welcoming gift or room upgrade... It isn't the most important thing in the world but, all of the times I have stayed as a gold member I have recieved a bottle of water and chocolates as a welcome - just a little disappointing....

I love Priority Club membership as my room is upgraded and check in is quick. The staff here were all very naturally friendly and helpful.
Location is very close to the casino and DFO. We stay here a lot and will keep doing so.

Being from a small NSW country town of about 2500 people with not even a traffic light ,it was very interesting for me to sit in the restaurant,and watch all the different types and volume of people walk past. As well as the number of cars & trams going up & down Spencer street. All this city scenery while enjoying the fine food & a beer or two of course while being served by happy smiling staff, top spot I'll be back (sorry for the "Arnie" pun)

food quality was excellent although i thought beverage prices (wine) was a little expensive.
disappointing there was no mini bar as a soft drink in the early hours is sometimes required.
a newspaper to the room each morning would have been nice.

I had written to you of my earlier check in and was glad that I was offered a room before time. our colleauges stayed in Crown at reasonably lower price and were offered free internet. This was not the case with your hotel where the prices were higher and no free internet.
room was sapcious and bed was comfortable,but the decor in the bathroom and furnishing were not upto the rate charged
Staff were ok and helpful. I was not pleased with the way you can generate bills for corporate customers.

I booked "two double beds room", but when I arrived at Melbourne On Flinders, the staff gave me "one king bed room". And they said that they kindly upgraded me from "one double bed room" to "one king bed room". Not a good birthday trip at melbourne.

I stayed in this motel a number of times over the past 4 months as a result of travelling to Melbourne for work. Each time, the check in was very prompt and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were always great too. The rooms were clean and well stocked with bathroom essentials. The desk/workpoint in the room was very handy. Overall, I thoroughly recommend this motel.

Room very comfortable .
Great Location for catching the Skybus from the Airport.

All priority club members were made to wait till 2 pm before check-in and asked to leave by 10 am. No upgrades are considered at all. The room furniture and amenities were very ordinary. Amenities were minimal. The TV was small and the reception was poor. All complaints fell on deaf ears. Staff and Manager lacked training to handle complaints. Staff knocked on the door of my room to ask why I have not yet vacated the room though I had a confirmed pre-paid reservation for the second day. There was total confusion in the hotel when the computer systems failed for a short period of time. Manager had no idea what to do. No apologies were forthcoming either.

The Holiday inn on Flinders was a good stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a satisfactory breakfast. The bed was the best part of the room, very comfortable and a joy to lay down in after a long day. The floor to ceiling panoramic windows were also a nice touch.
The location was good, walking distance to most places within the city centre, but still far enough removed from the hustle and bustle to provide a relaxing retreat.
I would have enjoyed a more comprehensive gym, but to be honest I could live without it for the time I was there so it was fine.

The rooms at the Holiday Inn Flinders Street Melbourne are the same quality as the rooms in Townsville and Cairns Holiday Inns.
It makes travelling for work much easier if you do not have to worry about the quality of the accomadation or the level of service where you stay.
