Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smelly Room We booked our stay at the last minute and was given 'the last room available' at checkin. We were told that this room was a suite. However, when we opened the door a strong smell of cleaning products hit us like a brick. The smell was so bad that we had to open the window to let fresh air in, which only helped slightly. The A/C unit had only 1 speed, very slow. The microwave was sitting ontop of the fridge, next to the TV which was atop a night stand; no dresser in the room. Of course, since this was the 'last room' and no other hotels around had availability, we stayed. However, we will NEVER stay at this property again. This room should NOT have been made 'available'. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Older hotel When I Arrived the hotel look good from the out side but when you go into the hotel you can tell the paint looks caked on the walls, the room smells like an old musty towel. When I ask the staff for new towels because the one's in the room looked well used. The staff was not very helpful, as a platinum member I was given a bag of cookies and told to have a good stay. I ask for a late check out and was told no that there fully booked for the next day and that I needed to be out by 11:30. I stay with this chain all over the U.S. and I would not recommend this hotel for other platunum members. January 1, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very acceptable business visit The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly, the room was a good size, clean and the bed very comfortable, the aircon was a bit noisy, however during my stay this was not a problem, could be an issue in the hot season. The room was serviced every day. Breakfast was reasonably priced and offered a good range, I only ate in the resturant once, but the food was prepared and presented very well. The hotel has several restaurants within easy walking distance, which is a bonus when staying on business and fancy a beer with dinner, I particularly liked Uno's Chicago Grill, only 5 mins walk away. Also the Viera shopping Mall is only 5 mins drive away, again providing lots of choice for food and entertainment. If you're into craft beer, the World of Beer' bar in the Mall is first class November 20, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Good and You are On Your Own This location is near some of my relatives which is convenient. I arrived late after a long day on the plane, only to find that the bathtub would not hold water since the stopper was broken. This is a downer. The front desk said no one was available to fix it and did not offer to move me to another room. The next morning I found the coffee pot had a used pouch in it from the previous tenant. I didn't use it and I mentioned it to the front desk on my way out for the day. After a long day related to a passed away relative, I had to leave early the next morning and left a request for a 4am wake up call at the desk. I later went out to the McDonalds across the street, and saw the person who had been behind the desk, playing guitar for a small group of people, on my return. I then slept after a late night snack. I woke up without the wake up call or alarm at 3:55 am. As I prepared to drive to the airport, eating the remaining hamburger, the wake up call never came. I cleaned the dirty coffee pot that hadn't been cleaned after my request and made a cup of coffee. As I checked out, I mentioned it to the front desk person, who said, "sorry". The bed was OK, but I would not recommend this place. September 29, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible and smelly I traveled for work and this hotel was close to the courthouse. Despite being told per the website this was a renovated hotel, all of the hallways smelled terrible and so did the room. Additionally, the wifi in the rooms was not working but I wasn't even informed of this at check in. I traveled for work and had work to do in my room. The front desk could careless about this issue and as a gold elite member you'd atleast think I would get an apology. I also feel that the bartender at the lobby bar needs to be fired as she was sitting there yelling loud and raunchy x-rated comments to other customers but there were kids around as it was also part of a restaurant. The restaurant on the premise was really good and enjoyable. Very nice breakfast and very reasonably priced. Very clean. The staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous. Even called a little later in the evening to make sure everything was all right. Would be very happy to go back to this hotel. August 30, 2013

The floors didn't look like they had been cleaned and in some areas vacuumed in some time. Would not recommend this to anyone. August 12, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Need to improve housekeeping I have been staying at this facility about 8 to 10 days per month over the last few months. This last visit I had problems with housekeeping services. I was there one week, During that time, the room was not cleaned on one occasion (I had to call front desk about 6 PM); once the trash wasn't taken and another time the towels were not replenished. So, three out of seven days were unsatisfactory room service. Previous stays were not like this. July 27, 2013

I wanted a room with a fridge, luckily Im a diabetic and they gave me one, If no medical condition its $10 a day for a fridge! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by smelled We stayed there for a recent tournament. As soon as we walked in it smelled like a sewer. All the hallways and our room smelled. When we complained they acted like they didn't know what we were talking about. Really hard to miss! The second night (because room was not cleaned!) we found ants in the one bed--GROSS. Would not stay again or recommend. Carpet in rooms needs replaced we were in and out of several and they were all worn and dirty. Disappointed!! June 14, 2013

There were burn holes in the carpet of our room which had 2 beds instead of 1 king like I asked for. The gentleman at the bar was very nice but the room its self was over priced and underwelming. I am dissaponited in this location and will not stay there again. May 23, 2013

The restuarant was very good for the breakfasts and dinner that we had there. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Only wish we had a refridgarator. Will say there again when we visit next year. I was meet by great staff and when I opened up the door to my room , I knew I was home. I could only stay two nights but wish I could have stayed longer. I had the best kingsize bed with overstuffed bedding and pillows. The room had a sitting area, nice TV and plenty of space to relax. Rate was also a great value. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel but 1 Employee almost ruined our stay We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera Conference Center while visiting family in Melbourne. We chose this hotel because we like to stay in Holiday Inns, it had free WIFI, a restaurant and a pool and looked like it was in close proximity to my brother's home. With the exception of a bad experience with a male front desk employee the second morning we were there, our stay was enjoyable. Luckily for for one bad employee there is always one or more good employees. When the housekeeping Manager Mrs. Manning saw that I was having difficulties with the man working at the desk, she discreetly waved me to the hall and took care of everything that was a problem for me plus she tried to make up for his rudeness. She went above and beyond. As far as the hotel facility. My original issue was with WIFI service in the first room we were in. WIFI was very important to me because I was working while staying there. The first room we had on the third floor had a poor to non-existent WIFI signal. I had 3 to choose from in the lobby or parking lot but only one weak signal in our room. Once Mrs. Manning had us moved to a room on the second floor, the WIFI was great and I was happy. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beds are always comfortable at Holiday Inns no matter where I go. That is another reason I choose Holiday Inn. The Restaurant was good and a good value. We ate 3 breakfasts and one dinner there and were very satisfied. Management really needs to re-train this one gentleman in customer service skills who unfortunately wasn't very friendly when I checked out either. Thankfully other employees were fantastic. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Melbourne I know more than you. I will argue the fact... Hotel is nice great property. Natasha is a fantastic representative for IHG. What made our stay such a drag. We checked in around 11pm. We had to deal with the night shift front desk git... Very poor attitude. Not recognizable as a hotel staff member. Slouchy dress no name tag. Greeting "You checked in here"? While he was setting on a bench out front smoking a cigarette. We did not answer at first, just thought he was some drunk idiot sitting outside until we realized he was an employee. We were driving an over sized vehicle. He told my husband where to park. The area was big enough, but our vehicle was to big to make the turn to get into the area, we went and looked. We told him that our vehicle was to big to get in there. He chose that time to go off on a tangent and tell my husband. "Well I am sorry you can't get your vehicle in there but I have people get vehicles just like yours in there all the time" Rolling his eyes and sighing. No need to act like that. Neither of us were challenging him or condemning him . We were already parked, checked in and on our way to our room to go to bed. Did not recognize us a priority club member, we were supposed to get a room up grade, which he did not offer. Even though we asked. Found out the about the upgrade upon check out the next morning. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappointing This hotel was dingy and had poor cell and internet service in room. Cheap coffee setup no hot water offered. Very cheap toilet paper; could see through it. I am a high level priority partner with HI and every one I stay at offers me a free upgrade, a bottle of water, a thank you for being a PP. Not this one. I asked for the free upgrade with a refrigerator and after I called the 800# and a fight I got it. But when i checked out my bill was $10 more. I am fighting that now.
