Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location Location was perfect for us because we didn't want to rent a car while in Memphis. Our room was comfortable and clean. The hallway on our floor was very dated; really in the need of sprucing up especially new carpeting. The staff was very nice and helpful although not very informative about what to do while in town. We found out on our own and through the pamphlets in the lobby what to see and experience during our visit. April 23, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good location but otherwise not so good On our road trip through Mississippi and Tennessee we stayed at Holiday Inns and we were happy. The Memphis hotel was not up to the standard and it was disappointing. No breakfast or coffee. The bought coffee at the cafe near the lobby was awful. We advised on arrival we were only staying 2 days instead of 3 nights and given the impression all was fine so we made flight changes. We didn't have a refrigerator in the room and there was no complimentary breakfast we had bought milk cereal and yoghurt but there was nowhere to keep them in the room. When we checked out we didn't receive a copy of the charges. I asked about the third night and the receptionist said she would have to speak to the manager. When she came back she said it was all ok. I asked for a copy of the charges. She printed it out and gave it to us. When we went outside and read the charges we had been charged for 3 nights instead of two? My husband went back in and asked about it and the receptionist replied that it is was the policy. If this had been explained to us at the beginning when we checked in, we would not have made expensive flight changes because we would have known we had to pay for the 3rd night. We did receive very kind assistance from a swee little lady working at the lobby who gave us a stamp to post a card. She made our day. April 23, 2015
