The service and staff was excellent form the beginning of check in to the check out. The ambiance of the hotel was designed perfectly;y to make you feel comfortable. The location of the hotel was in walking distance and not to close for the mass crowd that indulge on Beale Street.

This is the third time that I stayed at this hotel near Beale St.
Pretty standard room w/ OK bathtoom. Dated a bit.
Typically, I wouldn't be writing a review; but, when it was time to turn the sheets down the first thing I noticed was a urine colored stain on the fitted steet.
It was late, Iwas too tired to request another room. Had I noticed the sheet in this condition first thing, I would have called the front desk and ask to be moved into another room.
A yellow stain on white sheets is quite noticable except for the house keeper.
If you walk to Beale and look like a 'touron' you'll be approached by lots of folks wanting a hand-out. Be prepared to listen to some interesting stories. Usually, they're the same story from different people.

Lots of construction and signs of construction throughout the halls and in the rooms themselves. Card was overcharged based on receipt provided. Currently working with hotel to resolve.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hankh33 bathroom has magic light
The light in the bathroom would take up to 10 minutes to turn on after flipping the switch. The Maintenance Man, who responded promptly, called it the Magic Light. He advised that they had replaced most of the parts in the light fixture and in the switch and the light still didn't work right. He recommended we keep the light on all the time, which we did. The ice machine which was right outside our room wasn't working. My fiancee and I stopped in the Sports Bar but didn't stay long because it lacked sports bar atmosphere. The best part about this hotel is the convenient location to Beale Street.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by malissap Location is the best quality, clean rooms, cheap breakfast.
The location is close to Beale Street and right across from the Peabody. It's quite a long walk to Sun Studios although it's only listed as .9 miles. The breakfast is good for $10 per couple per night and it's convenient. The Seattle's Best coffee shop connected to the hotel is the highlight, though! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Only encountered one grumpy waitress at breakfast. I'm from Texas, so I think everyone could have been a bit more friendly, but that's a personal opinion. The rooms are small but manageable, but there are no mini refrigerators (pretty standard these days in my experience). Bathrooms are tiny but clean. While at the bar, they ran out of Crown and not one manager had a key/access to obtain anymore until morning. It was 9:30 p.m. - not cool! We were disappointed that they didn't offer a shuttle, at least to Sun Studios. Lastly, the valet parking is expensive and not an option ($20 per day), but we walked everywhere anyway. Would rather stay at the other Holiday Inn a little up the road - friends said it was NICE.

One of the best IHG properties we have stayed at! Great staff, wonderful room with a great view of the city. Easy walk across the street to the Peabody to see the ducks. Valet parking for $20 is a no brainer for wandering the downtown area.
