We only stayed one night so we could put up with the conditions of the hotel- it looked tired and drab. Great location though however we felt we paid too much considering its conditions. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced, but nice I was in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl. I selected this location because I wanted to be close to Beale St.. It meet that requirement. But... - the garage was semi-attached, but the elevator was not working. - the decor was outdated in need of updating. - th paint was worn/scratched i places. - the hallways were extremely hot. This was a "nice" hotel, but not what I would expect from the brand. Very overpriced, but not a lot of selection in the area. January 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay We were there for the Liberty Bowl and the Beale St "experience". Easy walking dist to Beale. Felt very safe with the security hired for New Year's Eve. It would have been nice if we could have gotten our room # and key before we went to the festivities so that on return we could go directly to the3 room and not have to "check in". January 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad service and dirty room I just stayed here with my family for our time in Memphis during the Liberty Bowl. First, we arrived at 2:15pm, the front staff informed me that the room was not ready and that check in was not until 4pm. We had parked on the 3rd floor of their parking garage and the elevators did not work to the lobby so we(me and 3 kids under7 and my husband) had to walk down 3 floors only to be told we could not check in. The service staff said they could lock our baggage up in their closet until we checked in. So we came back at 4pm Nd checked in, yet the individual who had the key to the closet was not there and was not to come back for 20mins. We waited and waited. We finally got in and I was hungry about 8pm so we head downstairs to the restaurant. And it was full, I decided to use the room service, but I called room service 3x, no answer, so I called main operated who told me they only had one person working and one cook and they were not doing room service that night. I've always known Holiday Inn to be remarkable but this was one of the worst experiences . I have photos of my room showing someone's hair in the tub still and a bed with no bed skirt that I can share. I don't recommend this hotel. January 5, 2013

My Aunt and I came to Memphis for a short trip.The moment we arrived some one was there to take our luggage .Front desk reception person was so helpful.I explained we were booked for a city tour at 1:30 and she told us were we should be.The bell captain took us to our room,which was very nice. We had lunch in the hotel grill and the food was great!!! The staff called our tour to make sure they picked us up. Enjoyed the tour,Peabody Hotel across the street had coffee there watched the ducks and strolled back to our hotel. Relaxed in our room a while,then off to Graceland to see Christmas lights once again staff wanted to make sure we had the address.Next morning great bed and pillows we slept great!! we ordered room service and with in25 minutes they delivered a wonderful breakfast and the best coffee.When we were ready to leave they took care of our luggage and Front desk people made sure we had coffee to go for our ride home!! I will be staying here again they made you feel like they were glad to have you as their guest!!! December 2, 2012

Unfortunately, there is no level of service that can make up for this property. Old, worn out, it looks like it looked 15 years ago when I stayed here while in college. The rooms were dirty and small. The bathrooms were dirty and cramped. Alot of work needs to be done to update the standard of the hotel to the standard of the staff. October 24, 2012

The friendly, helpful staff ensured that our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one. Our room was immaculately clean and the king bed very comfortable. The close proximity of the hotel to local attractions such as the Rock and Soul Museum, Beale Street and Sun Studio was an added bonus. Overall, a very enjoyable stay- thoroughly recommended! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best hotel Lobby looked nice. Elevators very slow. Non smoking room but, smelled like smoke. Requested room service breakfast by following instructions to place card on door night before by 11PM. They took the card request however, I never received the food in the morning. Whole experience was not bad but, don't believe I would stay at this location again. October 12, 2012
