The front desk clerk was very friendly and provided lots of information. The hotel is cleaner than most of the Holiday Inns we have ever stayed at. However breakfast is a little worse than most. You can pay a little extra when you reserve your room for the buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, it is the usual breakfast fare and sparse. Soggy waffles already made, fake powdered eggs, crispy cold bacon and tiny cold muffins. Getting coffee that day was a real issue too. They only had a couple of table pots and a large table had them all. So we had to wait to get a cup of coffee. Go across the street where our friends went and they said Bob Evans was terrific.

Recently returned from a 10 day vacation to the Northeast US and the Holiday Inn Cleveland NE-Mentor was the worst Holiday Inn we stayed at, and most expensive, just not up to the standards of Holiday Inns that I’ve come to expect over the years. We made reservations on line (platinum member) approximately 45 days ahead of arrival. We were given a first floor handicapped room and told it was the only thing available. When we received the bill the following morning it was $30.00 more than the confirmed price and when questioned I was told we tried to get the AARP rate at check in and it added $30.00 by mistake…untrue we did it all that on line. The billing mistake was taken care of. The hotel hallways were dirty, crushed food on the floor in numerous areas, spilled drinks, a tired hotel, again not up to Holiday Inn standards we expected. The only highlight was the bartender and it was her last week. I would not recommend spending an evening in this motel with so many other motels close by.
