Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Well located and quiet place to spend a few days This is the fourth time we stay at Holiday Inn Merida, and we found a small degradation in the staff capacity to answer our question as well as the breakfast is no longer at the top... the small famous cheese balls being diffrent every day !!! However we enjoyed the outside evening buffet and we keep a good experience with our stay. February 17, 2014

Buen día, desafortunadamente tuve una mala experiencia en el hotel de Mérida, para iniciar no tenia lugar de estacionamiento para los huéspedes porque había una boda en el hotel, después al registrarme se fue la luz y no llego hasta después de una hora tuve que subir siete pisos por las escaleras con todo y equipaje ya que el bell-boy no se encontraba disponible porque estaba apoyando en la boda; mi vehículo, se quedo fuera del estacionamiento del hotel y se atrevieron a marcarme a las 2:00am para decirme que ya había lugar para estacionarme, lo tome como una burla, pero en fin tan solo fue una mala por tantas experiencias excelentes que he tenido. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Atentos al valet parking Hice mi checkout y me dirijí a mi auto para irme. Otro auto de otra persona estaba estacionado atras del mio. Los Valet no tenían ni idea de quien era. Como es posible? Se metió un auto de alguien y lo estacionó atrás del mio y nadie supo ni vio nada? ahora como me voy a ir? hasta que esa persona llegue sola y lo mueva? con ayuda del gerente del hotel y alguien de front desk durante 50 minutos y nadie sabia aun de quien era el carro. después de 1 hora y media de haber hecho mi checkout una persona salio del hotel, subió a ese carro que estaba parado detrás del mio, y se fue. por fin pude dejar el hotel. perdí 90 minutos. Intente pedí pañuelos desechables porque tenía alergia y no contestaron el teléfono y ya había hablado para quejarme del cable que no estaba funcionando osea que sí servia el teléfono. Tuve que bajar para pedirlos directamente... Pedí que me dijeran donde estaba la farmacia más cercana y me mandaron a 2 cuadras cuando cursando la calle hay una. Pero la comida es muy buena. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by El problema de casi todos los hoteles Me hospedo en diferentes hoteles y cadenas dos o tres veces al mes, y me he encontrado en muchos de ellos el mismo problema. Las Toallas; no se porque los hoteles, como la cadena Holiday inn no ponen atención en esto. Toallas deshilachadas, viejas, nada suaves. la comida: promedio en calidad y variedad, los mismos platillos que el promedio de hoteles de este tipo, pero más cara que el promedio. en una escala del 1 al 10 le pondría un 6 por estos aspectos, lo que los salvo fue la atención del personal y buen trato aún con que estaban al 100% February 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel Stay But With Annoying Problem We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. The hotel is in a good location. The staff was courteous. A desk clerk whose name is pronounced Mitchell (but whose name is spelled a little differently) was very helpful and displayed a great attitude. The breakfast buffet had an extensive variety of food and was reasonably priced. The room was large, had a nice enclosed balcony, and had a large shower. This was a shower only type of room--it had no bath tub. The part of the bottom of the shower enclosure where the shower curtain was located only had an approximate one inch lip. The shower curtain was very short. From the bottom of the shower curtain to the floor there was an approximate 10 inch gap. The result was that each time each of us showered we would have to use the bath mat and a towel to remove a moderate amount of water from the bathroom floor. We had pointed out to a male staff member (not Mitchell) the short shower curtain problem on the first day of our stay. The male staff member told us he did not see this as a problem. So, we just put up with this annoying problem. January 30, 2014
