I only visited the hotel because I had to visit a Doctor for review and I enjoyed the stay in Merida I like to visit this Hotel because is near from all the places that I need to visit as like mall, restaurants, Hospital etc

Lovely polite, friendly greeting from the front desk team as well as a hand with bags from the guy who showed us to our room whilst explaining the hotel facilities and hours. Once to the room he quickly and efficiently showed us the aircon/key card power point. Asked if we had any questions before turning to leave, we of course gave him a small tip. What a great start. A single page letter from the reception personally welcomed us and advised the points earned for the booking, a couple of apples and some grapes in the room with a hand wrote welcome note.
Beautiful room, lovely balcony, comfy bed, decent tv, no street noise, courtyard view, decent shower, coffee maker with decent coffee.
Breakfast buffet was wonderful, varied, good quality ingredients, fantastic egg station and lovely pastries on table
The lobby bar margaritas were the best tasting we had during the trip. The coated nuts and popcorn served with the drinks is a lovely tasty extra.The barman is a true credit to the hotel, his tireless and smiling efficiency is commendable as is his margarita making skills. You must try them.

Excellent attention, clean rooms, but internet signal is poor in the room, signal is weak and very slow speed...

I had two rooms for my family, room 232 the AC was reported to not to be working properly, they came in 5 days in a row never being able to fix it, I asked to switch rooms and they always said there were no rooms available
Room 220 the phone did not work for 4 days
In most areas the wireless internet kept failing on and off
We had to wait for hours to get food service by the pool
On the day of my check-out I was charged for breakfast on the previous day, I asked to see the signed check which they could never find, I am sure I never had breakfast at the buffet because it was always crowded and too expensive.

The hotel has a very good location, just some feets away of Paseo Montejo. Rental cars, Tour buses, a famous supermarket and the well known "Calandrias" can be found just in front of the hotel. My wife and I spent two nights there and we liked the athmosphere and the service. As IHG member, we received fresh fruit and water bottles during our stay.

I´m sorry to tell you that our experience was very uncomfortable. when we ask for something we have to wait an hour or more to be atended. we went to the restaurant at 4 pm they said that the service was form 2pm to 5 pm and at 4:30 they started to clean up everything we couldnt eat dessert or drink water the same thing happened at breakfast, the pool the 3 days was dirty with cigarrets in it, at night a lot of noise i tinhk someting was under construction or something. the room wasnt clean and the coffe maker didnt work

You need to improve The room had a plastic bag in the floor when i arrived. The pillows smell awful. Also i asked for room service a salad had amaranto instead of sunflower seeds it only has 1 half of tomato cherry. The iron is old and stain. There are smaller hotels with better service.

As a platinum member, we were upgraded to a junior suite and it was just excellent! It was close to the pool (exit from the window of the room), had ample space and the hotel provided fruit everyday. Overall, this was just fabulous!

I was very impressed with the level of customer service during my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating (e.g., answered questions about travel around Merida and to airport, sent extra bottles of water to room). Staff at the front desk also spoke clear English, which made it much easier for me, a native English speaker who can only speak broken Spanish. The room was cleaned every day during my week long visit, and they always left a new bottle of complementary water. I was also impressed with the gym and pool area, which were well maintained (e.g., all treadmills and other machines were new and in working order, there were always enough gym towels). One thing to note is the distance of the hotel from the city center (about a 20-25 minute walk or short cab ride) - this is either a pro or a con, depending on what you prefer (the area around the hotel is quieter than the city center but there are fewer sites to see and options for eating/drinking).

On my last stay at this Hotel the personnel at the front desk gave a really bad service I requested one not smoking room and they gave one smoking room that was dirty and smell bad (stinky)
The personnel at the front desk is untrained and not very helpful they do not try to solve the problems it was a terrible experience for me and my family.
If for some reason I need to come back to Merida I WONT STAY ON THIS HOTEL ANYMORE.

My second stay there. Awesome staff, friendly and helpfull. Very clean. Walk distance to many places. Tour bus stops at the door. Cap fares are very low.
Rented car from target, next door, went to the mayan sites, specially enjoyable are the cenotes.
The Beach in Progreso, the fried fish, the shrimp seviche, all unbeatable.
Food is very good, there is balance between local and international. Cater to all people, Mexican hot if you want but normal if you choose so.
Save yourself a "canned" trip to Cancun and go to Merida, you won't regret it.

I enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn, everything is clean in the room, staffs are friendly and courtesy. Only the Internet is very very slow. I wish they can improve their wi-fi speed.

Simply Excellent! Fantastic place, the staff, food, room and pool all well beyond what i expected. Seriously, i cant say enough about the place and all at a very reasonable price. If i have cause to go back to Merida i wouldnt bother checking out other hotels, i'd head straight back to the Holiday Inn. Very clean and tidy also, no bugs or creatures walking about.

It has a great location in Merida, but you can notice it's also an old Hotel who need a full and complete revamp by professionals.
The room was small. You can notice the need for change or very good maintenance, our TV cabinet has the door locking devices broken, you can see water leaking above you in the shower acrylic ceiling, etcetera.
The attention in the bar and outside restaurant was good as the quality in food and beverages, but again, they look old and dark, in furniture, lighting, etcetera. When we go to the main restaurant to have breakfast the waiters were in trouble to attend us, they were in kind of bad mood, apparently because they have some kind of personnel shortage. The food there was average for breakfast.

I was disapointed to hear that when booking thru Priority Pass breakfast was not included. Being that when you pay for the stay is always included... No airline tickets reedemed with award miles offers you no food on a flight. The same should apply to hotel booking.

He visitado este hotel varias veces este año y es consistente el buen trato a la llegada. El estado de las habitaciones es muy bueno y ofrecen gratuitamente algunos servicios del centro de negocios por ser miembro de su programa de puntos. El servicio de internet es bastante bueno.
