They were happy to be at work, rather than hearing about how much time until they get to go home. I recommend this hotel for business or pleasure!! September 2, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean Comfortable Friendly Affordable My overall experience at this Holiday Inn was awesome. The staff went above and beyond to welcome OUR out of town guests. They took the initiative to right any wrong and correct any mistakes. The staff is knowledgable and very helpful. The shuttle service was great as well. While unloading my truck, my hatch would not close. I did not know this had happned because I pressed the button and walked away. An employee, called the front desk from outside to make sure that they knew that a guest's vehicle was opened. This employee did not leave until I came downstairs to lock my vehicle even though she was off the clock. THAT IS DEDICATION AND I THANK HER FOR THAT. Yolanda Irby.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well-lit, clean and comfortable hotel I've stayed at this hotel off I-20 in Meridian several times and have always been happy with the accommodations. Be forewarned, however, that you should call ahead to keep from losing your room if you are going to arrive in the wee hours of the morning. Apparently your reservation is no longer guaranteed after a certain time. I was still able to get a room, but there was some discussion about whether or not I was going to be charged a second time for the same night's stay! If there's a different manager in the future, I hope this will no longer be an issue. August 18, 2014

As an example, I did not have my IHG Membership Number. They not only looked up the number, but generated a membership card for me on the spot that I could take for future reference. The restaurant staff was also very friendly and attentive to my needs. There was one lady who was especially attentive to anything my wife or I requested. August 13, 2014

The front desk service was excellent and Tiffany and Destiny were very helpful despite the large number of guests and groups who were already there. The buffet breakfast was a poor choice- dry scrambled eggs, hard french toast, etc. While I was eating someone came and replaced a few of the dried out options. Fruit was good. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could be so much more... While there is a lot to like about this hotel, the overall experience was tarnished by what felt like a lack of attention to detail. For example, the menu was promising, but it lacked in execution. The restaurant area is a weird cross between avant-garde decor and diner ambience. At dinner, the individual televisions in the other booths created a cacophony of unwanted soundtracks to my solitary meal, while the one in my booth refused to disgorge the audio for the baseball game I was viewing. Not a relaxing experience after a busy day. For another, the Internet service is painfully slow and spotty, with frequent (as in every few minutes) outages that just as mysteriously repair themselves. On either side of this stay, I used this same laptop at other hotels without such difficulties, so the problem lies in the Internet provider and hardware the hotel has chosen. Lastly, my window curtain was attached to the wall at only one end, leading me to wonder about the procedures for room inspection and repair. However, I have to say that the room and interior of the hotel were spotless and welcoming. This is an example of the little things adding up to cloud an otherwise positive picture. Heads-up.
