Centrally located, helpful friendly staff, nice rooftop dining area, steam room...all provided for a great stay. We had a room facing the square which enabled us to watch the daily flag raining ceremony at 8am on the square done by about 200 soldiers and their band. We always bring ear plugs on trips, so the added street sounds at night did not bother us at all. Also, very, very helpful concierge (Vanessa).

It is in the heart of the city, and has a great outdoor balcony in the restaurant the restaurant looks quite nicet. Unfortunately the no smoking signs on the balcony are not enforced, people are smoking while you are eating anyway and the staff says nothing. The room was small, but comfortable and clean, bed was firm and comfortable. Platinum elite status recognition was a bottle of water and a bag of cookies, no upgrade. Overall it was a comfortable stay, and I could enjoy Mexico here.
The website says the hotel can accommodate shuttle service to the airport, and for this , I booked online, traveled and called to hear there is no shuttle, So this is not true, you will have to get yourself a cab.

Excelent option. There are 10 meters to Mexico City Zocalo.
Very safe location.
I make only one advise.
Check mexican news for events, shows, meetings, parades o another crowd situation in "El Zócalo".
If there are political problems in Mexico city when you are planning to arrive, better find another hotel so far to downtown.

This was my first trip to Mexico, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The staff was extremely helpful with planning outings and getting me information and were very tolerant of my very poor Spanish. My room was very comfortable and I really appreciated the daily bottled water. The rooftop restaurant was the perfect place to begin and end the day -- the breakfast buffet was awesome and the dinners were also excellent. Being in Mexico City over the Day of the Dead was an outstanding experience, and the location of this hotel (overlooking the Zocalo) couldn't be beat. When I go back to Mexico City, I will certainly be staying here!

If you can avoid staying at this hotel, do it. The receptionist at the front desk Alejandra was not at all professional. I am a platinum member and as a platinum member you would ask for an upgraded room, which Alejandra found that the first day of my stay their was no upgrade available but to have my luggage ready the next day and she would move my luggage to the upgraded room the next day., Next day came and no upgrade and to top it all off I paid in advance for the breakfast and was still charged at the end of my stay. This hotel is full of empty promises. stay at a different hotel, if you don't want any hassle or bad service.

We enjoyed our stay in Mexico City. It was great to have breakfast on the roof overlooking the old city! At night the view was magical. We would like to return sometime with more time to explore.

I am an ambassador and platinum member, one month before my arrival call and ask for a junior suite up grade and they confirm my status and gave me the suite, call a week before and confirm it. When I got there no suite just street view up grade. No extra amenities, cup of coffee as recognition of platinum member status.
Every morning, the cleaning staff, knock very early and on time the went inside with out permission. Got calls late at night and nobody answer. The bed had a hole that makes you roll to the middle.
Ask for extra pillows didn't get it. Ask for a cab to the airport at front desk and got a car that was not registered as a taxi, had to pay upfront . Next time I will stay elsewhere.
