Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Old place Stay in a newer hotel in Minot ND. This one has people that just do not care. One morning we could not order basic room service, the phone in the room service was locked and no one acted to correct the issue. Carpet was taped down everywhere in the hallways. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Was nice but.... I stayed at this hotel April 2014 and it was wonderful. Staff and Service were great, breakfast was wonderful, the bar had a great selection of beer, and the room was immaculate. This time, lots of changes. - Staff - I got the impression of "Great! What do I have to do now to help you". This was from front desk as well as the restaurant. - Breakfast - Last time I was here, you were able to order from a menu which had multiple choices and the staff was amazing. Now it's a worthless breakfast buffet. Biscuits where hard as rocks #only saving grace was the gravy was actually pretty good#, most of it was cold to maybe lukewarm, coffee was horrible, sausage was close to jerky and had no flavor, and the bacon was the kind you get at a Holiday in Express for free #pitiful#. To top this off, it cost $10+ and the staff did just enough to get you out the door. Bad move managers. - Bar - The bar tender was nice, but I only went down once because they no longer have a great selection of beer. What saved it the night I went down was they had Boston Lager Oktoberfest #not my favorite, but drinkable#. I gave my other free drinks to another guest in the bar because I knew I would not return to the bar unless I was desperate. - Room - Mostly nice, but housekeeping needs to pay a little more attention to detail. Found a half full plastic cup with who knows what in it under the ottoman. In the bathroom, the vent in the shower was covered in, I'm guessing, dust. Bed was very comfortable and the HVAC system worked great. The hotel must be having work done because dirt everywhere and the wall paper looked like they got some bum off the corner of the road to put it on. I stay at Holiday Inn quite often all over the place and this visit falls quite short, to the point I will call and ask questions before I stay again. October 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great night's sleep The room was very clean and updated. I slept amazing. The beds and pillows were comfortable! The amenities such as the fridge and microwave were very convenient. I had room service breakfast and it was by far the cheapest service fee I've ever paid for one. I was part of a wedding that was in the Pavilion, it was very nice to just have a walk to the room and not leave the building. Only downside was that housekeeping did not show up to our room until 5 pm. We had to just take towels and turn away service as we needed to be in the room at that time. October 22, 2014

The hotel is not yet redocorated . The service and food in the breakfast restaurant was not up to regular standard. October 10, 2014
