Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by unclean room When we arrived at 1am from Canada, we were all tired and ready to go to bed. The room they gave us was not clean at all. We walked into a room that was used! So I went back to the front desk and she gave the next room beside it good thing it was available because we specifically requested the pool side. The curtains has ripped. The toilet seat has yellow urine stain. It was dirty. We didn't have a shower because there's hair all over I don't think that this will be my first choice of hotel in minot if I need to come back. We were there for a wedding and the reception hall was very clean and close to bathrooms and the bar and service were great. The room was clean and comfortable and we had no issues what so ever. I would definitely recommend this hotel in the future for events as well as just staying in the rooms. August 27, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place, but slow breakfast I enjoy staying here. The staff is friendly and there's a Ground Round down the hall. Also, the meeting rooms are large and decent. The biggest drawback is the on site restaurant. It is incredibly slow. Plan an hour for breakfast, or better yet, head out and eat somewhere else. August 20, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not great The hotel said they were remodeling and would be done by the middle of August. I used a reward night to stay here and I obviously was put in a room that had not been finished as the paint was peeling from the ceiling in several places. The front desk staff was less then enthusiastic during check in. The bathroom had been updated, although small, it was updated very nicely and was very clean. The temperature fluctuated a great deal. The thermostat said it could tell when you left the room and to allow 15 minutes to return to temperature. I woke up during the night because it was stuffy and when I got up the AC kicked in, so it must have though no one was in room when we were sleeping. The common areas were clean. The room was not horrible, but the peeling paint was not attractive. Other front desk staff were much friendlier when making inquires subsequent to check in. August 17, 2014

The only issue I had was the fact that each day at noon our room keys needed to be reset, which if you are staying for multiple days became a huge pain. The only other issue was the fact that each time a different person would stay in the other rooms I had reserved, their name would then be on the entire reservation. August 8, 2014

The hotel is booked up naturally But without hesitation and a simple conversation with Gemma the Asst. GM my request was handled and my stay as always will be perfect. Thank you Gemma!! July 21, 2014

Right from the Time Amy checks me in and greats me with a smile and a great attituted every time! All the staff here cares for the guest and their needs. The hotel has been remodling and Im sure some see that as and inconvience. I however do not. It shows me they care about their guests their staff and the future. July 15, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Charged more than the quote for the room We were quoted one price for the room and charged another. We were there for a wedding and were told it was a block of rooms at reservation. Everyone was put on different floors. Someone else asked for adjoining rooms and the floors were on two different floors. We were informed by the staff that they only did continental breakfast if they were at 80% occupancy. That was code that you only matter if it is State Fair or Norsk Hustfest time. Their online announcement site is not up to date. It did list the kiddie pool as being shut down. It did not state that the fitness center was closed down and that there was construction materials and equipment all over the building. They need to be more careful about which caterers they allow onsite. The people who got chicken breasts at the reception, received rare and bloody meat. June 23, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good front desk staff, horrible beds and bar staff Stayed here for a conference in June 2014. Front desk staff was great, check-in was easy but not TWO HOURS into our stay our credit card had already been charged over what our stay was going to cost. Absolutely a ridiculous practice. The charge was refunded after the stay and the proper amount was charged but it caused us some hardship while we were there. The bar could have been nice if the waitress wasn't so horrible. Absolutely no attention was paid to our group because the bar was "busy". And she made sure to tell us that she was busy every chance she got. Our drink orders got taken but she never took our food order (the food was outrageously overpriced anyway so I doubt it was a great loss). Claimed she would come back in a few minutes and we gave up after an hour or more. The beds were absolutely awful and we slept horribly. Rooms were clean and temperature in the room was good. Hotel was under renovations while we were there but it wasn't horrible. If we hadn't seen the renovation stuff we wouldn't have known they were working on it. Don't take a room by the elevators though, you can hear every noise that happens by the elevators. June 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel condition I know this Holiday Inn is under renovation, but bare walls with the hooks and holders for pictures was more like a budget motel/hotel. The hotel is not convenient to places to eat as it is off the beaten track. There is no light illuminating the clothing hang up rack making it impossible to see clothing. The parking lot is in serious need of repair and line painting. June 9, 2014
